Good read thanks for sharing!
I'm looking to add one to my Duckett family of rods.
That's a good read
I can't find specs on any of the ghost rods. On the Duckett site or TW anywhere.

Duckett doesn't list any specs for his rods. After reading that review I wonder how the reviewer came up with those specs.
I don't know where he came up with the specs but I know it said he was a guide on Guntersville
Well that stinks. I was thinking maybe of grabbing a 7'3 H but not knowing it's range of lures kinda makes that a no go.
I was able to see what the tapers wrre, by going to Rons website, he actually has the taper listed... That's better that tw they don't tell u anything
BPS lists specs on these rods...not sure of their accuracy tho with Duckett not saying anything about them
I just bought a 7'3 heavy ghost for my new jig rod

This may sound absurd but can you mount a reel on it and balance it on 1 finger for me, plus take a picture?

Glad I could help bud. It's either this or I drive an hour up and back to my local outdoor shop and do it myself. Sucks they don't carry powell and more or I would take the trip.

Its all good brother. I'm just picking at you. It does show your commitment to detail to ask a BR brother to do that and our close brotherhood for him to do it. I wish I had your discipline when it comes to little details.

If nobody does this for you by sunday, I will be able to do that for you. I just got a new Revo SX I'm gonna slap on my ghost.

I couldn't get the pic to load but with a bb1 reel it balances pretty much even with the hook keeper
Is that on a 7'3 H?
Anyone try a crankin rod yet?

Yes that's on a 7'3 heavy
Good deal.
I picked up the 6'-8" MH to use as a spinnerbait rod and without going out yet, the rod in hand is very nice, very light, soft-ish but responsive tip, parabolic bend. I put on a spare BPS carbon black I had laying around and the reel balances a little heavy on the rod. I'm going to use it for a season as is but already think I may go to a lighter reel. I expect the rod will probably perform very well.

I held a 6'-10" cranking M at the local BPS after I had alredy ordered my 6'-8" MH. That cranking rod is VERY nice and I am going to get one.
Sweet I'll probably check one out for sure.
I saw them the other day at the local shop. 1-Revo MGX on 1-Duckett Ghost weighed a whopping 8.3oz.
I got to hold one but not fish one yet, for for a Benji, pretty pretty pretty pretty good.
I guess I might as well sign a contract with Boyd cause at this rate all my rods are gonna end up being Ducketts. Lol
