Seems like more Shimano fans on here, but just curious how it falls.
I voted Pflueger, but I might be jumping aboard the Shimano Posse when my Curado 200dhsv comes in this week ;D
I have 11 - Shimano reels and am bidding on the 12th in an auction right now. I'm a full blown deputy in the Shimano Posse. LOL

Abu Garcia. Been using them since as early as I can remember. Currently own 15. As much as I like the newest Abus, my favorites are still my old reliable Ambassadeur C4s.
Ja dieses wieder. Nicht ist es Spaß?
Abu, for their durability and quality.
Shimano by far.
"Abu Garcia: For Life."
I'm not sure how many reels I have but I am sure that they are all Shimanos.
I have about 50 to 60 abu,s some i had for 20 yrs ABU FOR LIFE c-4,s c-3,s c-5,s revos ,torno,s,eon,s pro max,s ,black max,s and assorted spinning reels i do own a few pflueger spinnings reels too and rapalas 1 pinnicle baitcaster and a couple real made in USA zebco 303,s
I don't have a definite favorite, but if pressed to choose just one I'll stand in the Daiwa corner.
Since I can only vote once, I voted Pflueger, at least all my favorite spinning reels are Pflueger's. I can't nail down a favorite casting reel as I have several reels from all the mfgr's.

I'm standing up for Daiwa!!!
I have a daiwa alphas ito which was my first baitcaster thanks to some of the recommendations from some of the fellow members. I like it a lot.
That being said shimano has taken care of of me as a customer above and beyond what I expected. I bought a Calcutta te from ebay new but when I received the reel, one of the handle nobs were bent slightly and so I took it to their service center/headquarters at irvine ca and told them and ask how much it cost to replace the handle and they ask to see my reel and told me to that he will be back. a few mins later he brought my reel back to said here and handed it to me. He replaced the handle for me. I asked him how much would it cost and he said free. I was in shocked and walked out of the service center w/ a big grin.
I use it for stripe bass and fishing off the 3/4 day boats off Long beach and redondo beach landings in the saltwater and after the season I brought the reel in for service and they changed 2 ball bearings and some other part in it. the cost was $25. but the TE came w/ the 50% discount for service/cleaning so they charged me only $12. they did not charge for the bearings, just to clean and service.
And dont start knocking on the reel and say if it was this brand or that brand you wouldn't need to have those bearings replaced. I was one of those who bought the TD Z from cabelas sale and I returned the reels to daiwa service center because the casting button didn't feel normal. They took care of me too. They replace 2 bearings on one of the reel for free and took care of all the problems because I had not even put line on it yet. I guess it was sitting on the shelfs too long?
That was when shimano really had me hooked. I can fish my reels w/ confidence that if I any thing goes wrong w/ my reels, I can bring it back and they will fix it to make it like new.
Last week I bought a used torium 16 and so not knowing what condition it was internally, I bought it in for service and cleaning. I dont know how that one is going to turn out but I also brought in my cardiff which I lost the receipt after I had purchased it so I didn't send in the warrantee and it was only 6 months old. I had gotten the line caught somewhere near the worm gear (my fault, I was trying to fix the birds nests) then I try to engage teh casting button but something came loose. the button wouldn't work so I bought it in and ask if they will cover it under warranty. They said no :'(. The service tech guy ask to see my reel and aftet handing my reel to him he took it to the back for a few mins and came back trying the casting button and reeling for a few times. Well he fixed it for me and I ask how much for the service. he said free, dont worry about it. we will call you when the torium is ready. i said thanks and walked out.
I am going to be a shimano customer for life. I am open minded about other reels because along w/ my purchase of the shimano torium, I had also purchased an Avet. The bait monkey hit me really hard this year :
Shimano follwed closely by Pflueger.
Seems a lotta folks are pushing those chimanos, shamonas, woddever ya call'em...I'll have to give one a try
If I'm not back in an hour, CALL THE POSSE!

Diawa and shimano have been good to me. I have one Abu and it does a good job too.
I have Shimano and Plueger spinnng reels. My favorite is the Shimano, specifically the Symetre. For baitcasters I like the Abu Garcia's. I own a Daiwa Advatange low profile but I still like my 4600 C3 better. I was looking into getting an Abu Max but I may get the C4 intsead after holding a Pro Max.
T.
i didnt know there were other brands besides shimano ;D
I like the value of my Flewgrrr Supreme spinners, but I chose the solid feel of my Daiwa's as my favorite brand.

i love my little 1600 pro max,s ,they can handle 4 and 6 pound line better then most spiining reels and look good doing it
I voted Shimano but when I buy another it would be Adrent
pflueger got my vote. haven't tried much else though so it's a little biased.
