Well next year I'm going to start putting 12 pound test flouro on my Baitcaster. I read through a few of the articles about them, but which brands do you guys prefer? I am thinking about Seaguar Red Lablel, because it's a cheaper line but stil got good reviews.

For that size I've been using Trilene 100%. When I 1st tried it out, I hooked the fish below, and it wrapped me on a zebra mussel encrusted steel dock pylon. About 10 yards up, there was about 5 feet of really chewed up line, but it held. I'm sure there are other brands just as strong out there, but that line earned my trust that day. Handles pretty easily too.

Also take a look at Seagur Invizx..This was the first flouro I started using and have never had a reason to switch..The line has great strength, low memory, and smooth castability.

I love InvisX for 4-8# sizes. It's a little too stretchy for heavier duty for me. That brown in my avatar came on 6# InvisX leader.

Toray Super Hard Upgrade is hard to beat, however if the pocket book is a concern use P-Line 100% Pure Fluoro. I have used and tried most. I prefer Fluoro with lower stretch. Less manageable, but more sensitive. Also with these types of Fluoro your knot becomes very important. Use a modified Uni and you will not break off at the knot. The biggest fault people make with fluoro is to up their line size to compensate for break offs. Larger lines less fish. Debatable, but true. Hope this helps. Jim

From the few experiences I have had using other peoples Abrasx is that is it very comparable to Invisx in the strech department

I put 20# Invisx on my first pitching stick when I first got it and have no reason to switch.

I use the InvisX, and am perfectly satisfied with it. It's an odd line in one respect. It seems to be made like string cheese. If you nick it, a "thread" may begin to peel away. It seems to be a combination of individual threads, somehow fused into one.
I couldn't get the InvisX in four pound test for my light rig, so I used red label. About half the price of InvisX, and I have nothing negative to say about the Red Label.

Have tried quite a few and now pretty much stick to just 3 brands, Toray (SH Upgrade), Seaguar (InvisX), and Trilene 100%. Toray is probably my favorite, but it's expensive and not easy to get hold of (limited online sales). Seaguar is pretty easy to find, and I gained a ton of confidence in it when I landed a 44.6 pound flathead 2 years ago on 8# InvisX after a 1 hr and 45 minute fight. Trilene 100% hasn't given me any problems and is available at most good retail outlets. I could recommend any of the 3 with a clear conscious.

I also use 12lb trilene 100% and I'm very pleased with it. Very strong and abrason resistant. Probably will use 15 or even 17 for texas rigs and jigs, 12 stretches a little to much for my liking. Doesn't take away from the sensitivity, but I think the heavier test will help with long hook sets.
I tried the vanish stuff before switching to trilene 100%, its half the price and in my opinion it's also about half the quality of trilene. Ok if your throwing heavy weights(1/2oz plus) but its very stiff and has a lot of memory which for me equated to too many backlashes and shorter casting distances. I switched and even thou trilene is twice the price, I think its worth it.

I use McCoy Fluoro 100 really proved itself on Lake Erie drop shotting for deep smallies with 6lb, and then really put the 12lb to test on Lake Santee Cooper carolina rigging, and throwing crank baits through the stumps I did not have one fish break off.

Only if you don't mind your PB bass to vanish during the fight.. 
But seriously that's one of the FC that I would stay away. Had too much break offs using that thing.

I've sprayed the line with Reel Magic. Is KVD is better conditioner? Just spooled on some 100% Trilene 15# for casting jigs. Came down to 100% Trilene or Seaguar Invizx. So, I just made a decision.

I've had good luck with Seguar Abrazx, Trilene Professional 100% and Spiderwire Fluoro. All three have proven to be stout lines. I even bent a shaky head jig hook out when it got hung on a brush pile in 25ft of water when using 12lb Spiderwire Fluoro. I thought for sure I was going to break...but it wouldn't break. The Abrazx is $35 a spool so I'll probably not use it again.
STAY AWAY FROM THE FOLLOWING!
Stren Fluorocast - broke off 3-4 times in one day with this stuff. Cost me a tournament.
Berkley Vanish - breaks well below the line's rating according to my personal testing

I agree! I tried it out on my dropshot set up and broke off at least three fish just on the hookset. I tried various knots, nothing really worked with it. I've since switched to trilene 100%, no problems yet, great line!

It depends on what # test you buy. I was just at BassPro and it was $35 there for 25lb...$30 on Tackle Warehouse.

Obviously. Most brands don't carry 25lb fluoro and if they do it is usually expensive.
