Feel free to give an answer on the poll or just leave a reply below.
Not looking for a look at google reply either
There is no need for a poll. Kvd l&l
A quick search on google or here will give you enough info to read for a few days on it.
haha yea but how many people even tried the alternative?
I have tried them both ... Started with Reel Magic because that is what was available to me locally. One day on this forum pointed me to KVD's and once I tried it there was no turning back .... much better results with KVD.
Enough of us to know its not the same type of product. Like I mentioned,a search will yield you the answers you are looking for. This isn't the first time this has been asked. Google reel magic vs Kvd line and lure. I double dog dare you.

Reel Magic is oil based and according to research can actually weaken line over time. The oil also tends to get everywhere and attract dirt which can get into some gnarly places.
KVD is polymer based and actually bonds with the line. I put it on when I respool and then the night before each tournament. Works great.

Fixed. LOL.

First result on Google.
This question gets asked every couple of weeks. Hence the answers you're getting now. People are getting annoyed and tired of answering the same thing over and over in such a short time. Just as much as you don't want to do a search for it, they don't want to answer it.
Make sense?

Second result on Google.
I wasted money on real magic once.
Is this real life? I didn't even know it was a competition.

^^^^^^^^Yup...Exactly what Felix said.
Look at Bing
Yea that's what happens when you just go and quickly post a question after reading about kvd line conditioner, without ever hearing of it before, in another post. That is why I figured I would utilize the poll question format.
But even without google, kind of why I joined the forum, your guys answers have been constructive and much appreciated.
Just by reading this forum post I have come to realize that they are made from different materials entirely, hence causing different, possibly unforeseen, effects.
Thanks for the replies guys. I figured I should close this poll before too much vitriol finds its way onto this posting.
There is no contest, KVD L and L all the way.
Reel magic is basically just wd40. It does have uses inside the reel to prevent corrosion (not as a lubricant). KVD is a better product for what you want.
The shining achievement for Reel Magic is that it works great to clean your touch screen electronics.
For line management you don't need to look past KVD L&L.

FWIW, don't let Reel Magic, WD40 or any other brand of spray silicone anywhere near the internals of a reel. The solvents that make it spray-able will dissolve grease and oil. In fact, I've used WD40 as a degreaser. Water resistant grease, even ISO rated hydraulic oil is a better anti corrosion lubricant than Reel Magic etc. Now freeing up already corroded parts, that's another story.

PB Blaster, brother.
What is KVD?
Line & Lure is a special polymer blend that becomes part of the fishing line it is applied to. Other line treatments you find on the market are primarily silicone oil and solvents. Silicone oil only temporarily coats the line and solvents can damage line. Silicone oil rapidly comes off the line (on your hands and in the water), requiring re-treatment of the line after just a few casts.
The special polymers in Line & Lure are hydrophobic (water repelling) and very slippery. It doesn't allow water to draw back on to the reel spool, which eliminates the line drag that a "wet" spool has. It also protects the line from wearing out as quickly as un-treated line because it resists the abrasion that wears line out. It contains no oils or solvents as in Reel Magic that can build up and collect dirt like silicone/oil treatments will.
You are beating a dead horse.
I only use reel magic now to shine up reels , guides and what not - no longer use on the line .

KVD stuff is all that I use. I have tried Reel Magic and it can do more harm than good.
Real Magic gets promoted by Jimmy Houston, KVD by nearly everyone else. My line conditioner is Tangle Free, it's been my experience it works better than KVD on mono and FC line.
Real Magic keeps a lot of reel technicians in business repairing and cleaning reel anglers who use it., gums up your grease and other lubricants.

An even better choice.
That has to be the best "as seen on TV" products.
It's a toss up between that and the "Flow-Be" hair cut system. lol
And scene.
