what line do you guys use
Trilene XL and Trilene 100% Fluorocarbon XL . If I'm not using XL mono, then I'm using Stren Original. I've branched out and tried others like Suffix mono, and did not like it as much. Plus as a bonus Stren is made in the good ol US of A! Not so sure about where Trilene is made....
Favorite mono is Berkley Big Game. Fluorocarbon I mostly use Sunline Super Fluoro.
They reformulated Trilene XL about two years ago and I love the stuff.

What did they change about it? Not to offend, I just was uninformed that they changed it...
Mono: Shooter Defier
Fluoro: Tatsu or Shooter, depending on application
Mono is Big Game
Floro is Trilene 100% Professional Grade
Mono/copoly (same to me): Maxima Ultragreen
Fluoro: Sunline Sniper
Power Pro Slick 8 on all my rods and reels, with the exception of a few finesse presentations that I use a few 8lb fluorocarbons.

I don´t know if that answers your question about which monofilament lines I prefer, because monofilamnet is not synonimous of nylon.
Don't use mono.... Flouro is Seaguar Red Label

Thus far, I'm no longer using a "mono" line.
All my reels are spooled with braid mainline
and I use a leader of (typically) copoly, which
most of the time lately is Yo-Zuri Hybrid from
6-10lb test.
For fluoro I use XPS in 8, 10, 12 lb tests but
not that often.
Would love to try some Tatsu, Sniper FC at some
point, but money has me where I am now. It's all
good.
