Yozuri Hybrid Vs Fluorcarbon 2025

I have been using vicious 100% fluorocarbon for the last year. I really like it due to the sensitivity and less stretch than mono. After reading all the reviews on here about yozuri I want to try some. My question is: how does the sensitivity of yozuri hybrid compare to 100% flurocarbon? I have never used a copolymer line before.

I have never used flouro but i use yo zuri almost exclusively. 6-8 lbs on spinning and 12lbs on BC. I dont know if i can call it sensitive cause i have never had a problem with sensitivity even when i use trilene xl 14# or p line cxx. But it is VERY strong and VERY abrasion resistant. I have straightened hooks out numerous times trying to get free. 6lbs has a breaking strength of about 12lbs and 12 lbs has abreaking strength of almost 20lbs. Go to www.yo-zuri.com and click on fishing line and read what it says. Should answer your questions.

Its not as sensitive as 100% fluoro, but it's close enough, that it is one of my favorite lines now. Plus the price tag is AWESOME! I cant 600 yds for something like 15$

Hybrid is GREAT line. Try some, you'll love it! It is super strong, supple, and sensitive.

I also have used the 8 lb Hybrid for spinning and the 12 pound for baitcaster. I have a feeling that it's more forgiving on knots than the 100% fluorocarbon -- but, could be wrong about that. It's good stuff.

this is correct I gurantee you use it you'll love it!!! Thumbs up X's5 I think its pretty extreme on its performance and strength.

Give it a try, it's an inexpensive experiment. Most guys like the line, but some don't.

I recommend #6 for spinning tackle, #12 for baitcasting. The overall performance is

enhanced with KVD Line & Lure Conditioner.

When i went from trout fishing only to bass fishing i found out that the cheap mono just mean't more lost bass. I did some reading and research commi9ng from an engineering background i did my homework and got into using excaliber silver thread copolymere line. It has way less stretch over mono and a way better quality line. It means less loss fish and faster hooksets. Now after losing some bigger bass do to there size and my 8lb test i just upgraded to using 10lb, 12lb, 14lb and 17lb coplymere line. Since all you guys are bragging how good the flurocarbon line is I purchased the Yozuri and the Vicious line to try out. I did also try the P Line in the coplymere too but found it stiff. I like the Yozuri but i find it harder to tie my mono clinch knots.

Bigbill- try a standard palomar knot! Easy to tie, reliable and you will be set!

Yo Zuri Hybrid is my line of choice for many of my setups. Probably the best overall line I've ever used. I use 10-12# for BC, and 6# for spinning. It's not as sensitive as 100% fluorocarbon though. It doesn't transmit the slack line bites nearly as well. That's where fluorocarbon shines.

The slack line sensitivity almost startled me the first time I used FC... couldn't believe it translated a tap that I definitely wouldn't have felt otherwise. I really like Yo Zuri for an all around line but prefer FC for jigs and throwing Senkos on a semi slack line.

Got my line in and I have fished a few times. My first impressions are: It is a very smooth line and the strength is unbelievable. However, the sensitivity of FC is so much more. The stretch of the yozuri was a lot as well. I am not going to give up on it. Going to give it more time and see if I can get used to it.

I love the sensitivity of flurocarbon but have had some breakoffs on hooksets,I have been bass fishing for many years and really can't recall ever breaking a fish a fish off with mono on a hookset so im hoping this line will give me the best of both worlds(sensitvity and strength) I just ordered some 12 and 15 pound test and gonna fish it this weekend in a tourney so I'll give my thoughts on it after.

I was actually thinking up a couple spools of yo zuri this weekend and was going to get 8# and 12# but have a couple questions.

What kind is the best for casting/spinning? The original?

How much stretch does it have?

Is it as invisible as fluro?

Does it float at all? Can it be used for top water?

I just spooled up 15# on my bc and loved the smooth casting. But what should I put on my ml spinning set up for shaky heads and light trebles? I set the hook like tiger woods so I'm leaning toward the 8# ultra soft. I dont know if I should go lighter or stick with regular instead of ultra soft.

The smallmouth in my avatar and the Big Fish at Guntersville were all caught on #4

#4 has a breaking strength of 8.5 lbs; #6 is 11.9

Hey guys, as I stated above,I will give my review after fishing the yo-zuri hybrid.

I stripped fluro off of 5 reels and put on 12 and 15# hybrid and this stuff is great!

It is as expected after reading many reviews on it...sensitive,strong and very castable!

I will not buy any more furocarbon cause this is all I need! Great product...Get some!!!

I was going to pick some of this up as well, but was curious as to how the stretch is. I went from a line that had little stretch , then back to standard mono that has a lot of stretch and I really notice it now and its driving me crazy. Kind of looking for a middle ground. Probably order some off bps as I don't believe they carry it at dicks sporting goods. We shall see.

Dick's does not carry it. Well the ones around me don't and as for the stretch its fairly minimal and seems perfect for great hook sets.

YoZuri has a little bit of stretch, to me its just enough. TW has the big spools for cheap if you want a good deal.
