I stopped at Dicks today to see what deals they had going on. Picked up 3 St Croix Premier rods for 39 each. I had read on BR that someone had found this deal at their store. The rods were not marked down I had to ask the manager to scan them for me. He was shocked to see it come up 39. Got to talking with him and told him the revo s combo I bought for 99 dollars at christmas was on sale for 49 dollars so he took me up front and got me 49 dollars back on that since was less than 90 days. I went there to look for more revo s combos but they were out. Thats when I remembered the St Croix rods. I have been getting some outrageous deals at Dicks as of late. Gotta love it.
Wow. That he would cut you a check for the difference from the earlier transaction! I was there just two days ago and picked up a ton of Rapala crankbaits. I would have went nuts on rods if I'd of noticed that.
my local store were mostly picked through but did find 2 allstar select rods for $25 a piece!
i did see few st croix rods but didnt think to have them ring it up to check as they were marked reg price...maybe ill go back and check it out!
Go back and have them scan them for you. The manager thought I was nuts when I told him that I had read on here that they were on sale for 39 dollars. He scanned the rods and he about soiled his britches.I called all of my fishing buddies and we cleaned them out.
The 50% off clearance fishing stuff ends today...

Yes it does! I was planning on visiting there tomorrow.
Double check with your store but I know it ended at my store today. I picked up a 6'6" L/F St Croix Premier for $40 to use as a perch rod.
I got a 6'6 MH Casting for Skippin Docks and a river rod.

A 6'6 MH was exactly what I was in the market for and for that same purpose ;D

I'll drop in and check it out anyway. Monday does seem like an odd day for a sale to end. When I was in retail the sales usually started on a Sunday and ended on a Saturday.

Yes, they usually do. I'm not sure why this one is different.
bought $200 worth of hardbaits (LC's and Rapalas) and some line for $81. Heard about the st croix rods a lil late though. If anybody on here loaded up on the rods i would be willing to give a lil profit for 2-3 of em.
I was at Dicks yesterday in Boynton Beach, hardly worth going, maybe the West Palm store has more inventory.
I bought a 5 lures and saved a few bux. As far as rods go, had nothing in stock that was of interest to me. I had wanted a 7' spinning rod for high banked canal use with some backbone but nothing on sale fit the bill, no St Croix on sale there.
Wish i had read this post last week, i was lookin for 2 premiers for trout and calicos, i stopped by today and they were picked clean. Owell, did find some good deals on some Rapala cranks and some LC Pointers so it was a complete miss.
Just heard from a buddy that the good deal on these rods at Dicks was a mistake. They were supposed to be on sale for 79.99 instead of 39.99. Somehow it had the .97 ending which made it ring up at half price. I would say it was a corporate mistake since this was company wide.
Their mistake is our gain!! I scarfed up a St. Croix Premier 6'6 mh.... I didnt need one but for the price i couldnt pass it up... Esp. since they were cheaper than the made in mexico triumphs..
Does anyone know if the "deal" is still good? If so I am going tomorrow and building my collect(I am just starting out).
the sale is over.. but you still might be able to find some lures and stuff....
I don't know why someone would think it was a mistake. I received no such communication. I think the Premiers that were on clearance were just old stock so they got clearanced just like everything else.
Yeah but the clearance price on the internet store was $79.
Went looking for any kind of deal's.
Found nothing fishing related that i needed,
But picked up a nice carhart hooded lined jacket for 47.00 out the door
Went last night to the Vernon Hills, IL. location and they had nothing decent left at all. Sold out of all the goodies.

The clearance price for the rods was $79.97. When you apply the IN STORE ONLY SALE of the additional 50% off the clearance price, it comes to $39.99.
Went to my local store yesterday and picked up some crankbaits, marked at $1.43. When I got up front, they rang up at .36 each. Needless to say, I went back and got a bunch more. When I got home I looked these very lures on BPS website, they sell for $5.99 each. Wish I had bought them all.

What kind were they?? I'll go get some today.
They are Mann's Waker Elite series. Square billed crankbaits. They have some that dive to 4 ft., and some that dive 1-3 inches
I bought some of both.
