Whats the best all around line for spinnerbaits, chatterbaits, swim jigs etc?
I have used Berkley trilene Xl but i have switched to yo zuri hybrid on my ultra light set up and like it a lot.
Also i am not a fan of braided line at least for bass fishing. To visible, and just not a fan a but i do use braid in saltwater bottom fishing with a mono leader.
Tight lines

I use either 10lb Invizx, or 14lb Sunline Reaction. I'll have more to say once I try out some of these new fishing lines.
I use 12# Yo-Zuri and works well for me.
Mike
15lb Invizx for me.
I, too, use 15 lb Invizx.
I never throw either much in clear water so it's 17-20 xl or super sniper for me depending on what Rod I throw it on
15lb Big Game or Pline Xtra Strong
I will use some 17 or 20 lb mono., whatever is on sale at Walmart each January during the close outs. Siege has worked ok for me in the past. This year the Berkley trailer, when it stopped at Rogers in Liberty, MO had a deal on IRon Silk. That is a very abrasion resistant line that works great for me for spinner baits - chatter baits and square bills.
14lb Sufix siege or 16lb sniper FC
I'm using 15lb trilene big game with no complaints.
I use braid for those but if I didn't it would be trilene big game
12lb Big Game works for me.
I use 15 lb big game or trilene xt unless I'm fishing really heavy cover or at night. Then I use 40 lb braid
10lb YoZuri hybrid for spinnerbaits and 50lb braid for chatterbaits and swim jigs.
15 pound pline cx premium.
The best line for these lures, IMHO, is braid. You say you don't like braid because it is too visible, but many fisherment use it without a leader and do just fine. I use a leader, and while you might consider this an inconvenience, it solves any concern with visibility.
Every option has advantages and disadvantages and the finding the right tradeoffs is the key. To me the far superior feel of braid, no stretch, and its far superior casting qualities on spinning gear (you can use higher pound test and still cast better than mono or FC) far outweigh the disadvantage of using a leader. Additionally, braid will last a lot longer than the others minimizing the need to change lines.
I love feeling the blades and the thump of the strikes so much better with braid than with the others.
Yozuri Hybrid in #12 is just about right for strength, abrasion resistance and not feeling so rubber bandlike while still offering good manageability and casting distance.
braid
I use 20# braid (power pro) for everything. No leaders. I even use a metal clip so I can easily change lures without re-tying knots. Catch tons of bass. I think we give fish way too much credit. They can't see the line, nor the clips. It's the best line for almost every application. If you switch to braid, use slightly less powered rods (one notch less for each application), you'll get the same feel and same hook sets. There is almost no need now for any other type of line.

Bass can definitely see line and hardware, whether or not it makes any difference is a subject that has no consensus.
Your rod, reel and line all work together to create a system. There are a lot of other variables as well, water color, distance you're casting, cover you're fishing etc. This makes it very difficult to provide a one line fits all answer and what you end up with is the person who is replying giving his preference based on his system and set of variables.
Put the time in, do your own testing and determine what works best for you.
I agree with Molay. It depends on what rod I'm throwing them on. My Dobyns 734 is kinda soft, so I make up for that with 30 pound power pro for spinnerbaits. If I want a little more give, I'll switch it out for 10 pound izorline.
I'll never be content with my line choice for each setup. Even when I'm mowing the lawn I think about switching out the izorline with flouro, or using 12 pound XL, or going to 832 instead of power pro.
Half of the fun is playing around with your setups to make it all work well. You should tweak the line, drag, and rod to you what makes you fish more confidently.
I tend to lean more towards braid with a flouro leader on almost everything now. I like the castability and sensitivity of braid, if I'm in clearer water I'll tie on a leader even though it's probably more of a mental confidence thing with line visibility.
I usually wait until I find a good deal on braid and buy 30lb in bulk if I can, it seems to be good all around for almost everything, and I'll throw on a leader when I see fit

I have 3 rods that get the nod for those applications all depends on what the others are needed for. They have 30, 40, & 55lb Daiwa Samurai braid on them.
10-12 lb. P-Line CXX.
16lb Sunline Sniper
12 to 15 pound Big Game for along time with no complaints at all.

But then you end up spending most of your time messing with your setups. You go from spending time fishing to spending time setting up for fishing. I've seen a lot of people fall into this cycle. They spend way more time and money setting up, buying tackle, rather than fishing. (I'm not saying you are doing this, I don't know you, just something I notice my friends doing)
Also, sometimes part of the challenge is to leave one rod with one reel with one line in your trunk and use that single setup to try and fish every lure and every technique. You learn a ton and get very very good at adapting your techniques. I love that challenge. Just leave home with 1 rod. Fun times!
Tight lines!

You say you don't know me but you're 100% correct! I spend more time in my garage and driveway playing with tackle than I do fishing. With a young family and a business, I only get on the water twice a month. Playing with tackle at night is how I can stay connected to fishing.
Last year I bought a 15 year old boat. I spend more time fixing and upgrading the boat than I do fishing out of it.
I've been happy with 15lb seagar in the red box. I fished with it all summer and gave it little thought. When I Restrung the the setup with 14lb trilene xt, which was my go to line for many years, I was surprised. I was able to feel the bait vibrating much better with the seagar. It took me a little while to figure it out. Coincidence maybe but I've had more fish shake the hook since switch too.

Lol. I guess we are all the same. I do the same exact thing. I figured we all do that. I spend more time re organizing my tackle boxes and adding to them than actually fishing. Lol.
?????
Big Game for the price but clear blue florescent xl is the bees knees .Man, I would like to see Big Game come in blue florescent .

What is your opinion on the Sunline Reaction FC? Pros/Cons? Looking to try it out this year.
