fishing user avatarcrankbait2009 reply :

You can't go wrong with a Bass Pro Shop Extreme Baitcaster. They are very good reels. The reel goes for I think $60 but you can buy an Extreme Combo for $100 on sale. Highly recommend

x2 on the pro qualifier

Lews Speed Spool?

fishing user avataraavery2 reply :

The Shimano Citia CI200E is on sale at GM currently for 80. Price and feature wise it compares to most in this price range.

fishing user avatarroadwarrior reply :

TREMENDOUS VALUE!

fishing user avatarriskkid 2 reply :

Can't go wrong with a Pro Qualifier. Citica is also a great choice if you get one under 100. I have both and they both work very well for me.

fishing user avatarsmalljaw67 reply :

The Lews speed spool, but this is hard if you aren't into fishing equipment due to the similarity of their reels names but this reel retails for $89 or $99. I also give a big thumbs up to the Quantum Kinetic, not the new one for $99 but the older silver model. Cabelas has them on sale right now for $69.99, this reel was $119.99 when I got it and I have mine foe 3 years of hard use. If I didn't need some other stuff right now I'd buy 3 or 4 of them, a good reel in my book.

fishing user avatarj.bruno reply :

Another vote for the citica at gm right now.

fishing user avatarCrankenstein Crony reply :

Lew's Speed Spool is hard to beat!

fishing user avatarKYntucky Warmouth reply :

Theres a $30 rebate for Citicas until April, I've never fished a Citica G but the E is a fine reel. Other than that, I'd recommend the Pro Qualifier

fishing user avatardwtaylor reply :

Personally, I would look at buying a used reel here on the flea market forum. You can find reels that normally retail much more at a good discount. For the money, I believe a used Curado B would be your best bet. People still swear by them today. Also, keep a look out for those citica E reels too, they are great reels for the money.

PS...I am a revo guy myself, but my collection does include a couple curado e, a curado b, and a citica e.

fishing user avatarLgMouthGambler reply :

Pro Qualifier. Will last a long time, and its not junk.

fishing user avatarPhranchise1213 reply :

Id like to add that I would have put down citica (I own both but like the citica a little better) but I thought you meant under $100 msrp. I would definitely pick up the citica if you can find it sub 100 bucks.

fishing user avatarPackard reply :

Citica @ Gander Mtn for 79.99 TYD

fishing user avatarretiredbosn reply :

The citica at GM are the E series reels, not eligible for the $30 rebate, but a good deal nonetheless

fishing user avatarbowhunter63 reply :

Another vote for the pro Qualifier.

fishing user avatarww2farmer reply :

If I used RH reels I would be all over those $80 Citica E's at Gander Mtn. They are, IMHO, tough to beat at there full price, and nothing can touch them at $80.

fishing user avatarpussiwillow reply :

bass pro quilifier! have several of them had them for over a year now and handle the abuse very well

fishing user avatarDiggy reply :

PQ is nice as the citica is also..both are on sale for 79(BPS in store for PQ)...cant go wrong with either but have more options in the PQ

fishing user avatarSherlock 60 reply :

Pro Qualifier online sale started today. $79.

fishing user avatarChiCityBasser reply :

The Quantum Accurist PT 500/501 are good bargain reels also as you can find them on ebay NIB for usually less than $60

fishing user avatarBirdNestBen reply :

I bought a new Revo Stx on ebay for $99... but it's $199 at BPS.... so that's probably not an option.. not sure the price now on the Johnny Morris Reels... I saw an ad for their spring classic for one at $89 ... it's a super reel....

fishing user avatarBassingNick reply :

I would go with a PQ $80 or the JM Carbon Black $90. I have two of the Carbon Blacks and they are awesome!!!
