Sorry to do this to you guys but... how big do you think this bass is. I caught it several years ago (if you can't tell by the picture lol) in a pond I used to fish when I was younger. I vaguely remember the fish being in the neighborhood of 23" but I didn't get to weigh it on a scale (I must have left my scale beside my coloring books at home ;D). I was going through some photos and I found it in amongst my other fishing pictures. So, what do you guys think weight wise.

I would say about 6 lbs. I could be wrong though just a vague guess.
at 23 inches it is between 5 and 7 pounds. it just depends on fat or skinny, ect.
i love these threads.
:-X

I do remember that it was FAT. Her sides were bulging out like crazy. She might have been spawning, I caught her in late late may early june
prob. mid to upper 6
Just under or over five lbs. Nice fish.
Just from looks I would say 5.5 and I believe that I'm within a couple ounces. 8-)

Yeah me too...
At least 2 lbs, maybe three.

4 lbs.
It's fat but it's mouth isn't that big.
I'd say 4-5 lbs.
4.5

not to hyjack this thread but....what do you guys think? the bait is a DT-6 if that helps.......
;D
;D
;D
3-4 pounds. kids not that big
No more than 3 1/2 lbs imo.
QuoteNo more than 3 1/2 lbs imo.
Agree 100%. Not even close to 5 or 6.
That fish is a solid 2lbs. Not much more. Anyone that guessed 6lbs and up needs an eye exam.
Smaller than Otis Goodmans 18 1/2lb......er uh.....15lb.....OK, it was slightly smaller........13lb.....I mean 12lb......OK, really it was only 10lb, giant he caught recently in Georgia. The official state (depending on who you ask) of the world record largemouth bass.
Based on the DT6, I would guess the fish is a DT34 or DT35 - somewhere in that range.
;D
I would say around 4
i was gping simply off the fact that it is stated it is 23 inches.if u look at a calabrated golden rule, It is about 6 pounds
I would 3.5 lbs.
I'd say 2 pounds maybe pushing 3. There's no way that fish is more than that.

If it's 23" then yea, but just by the picture alone, I would say it's about 18" or 19" which makes me think it's about 3-4 lbs.
I would also agree with everyone who said 3-4. I'm going with 3 and a half.

so do i haha
17.4 lbs maybe 18. Depends on how much tungsten you got on you. Some other guesses are stupid low so im gonna even it out a bit
ID say around 3-4 pounds or so. And it doesnt really look 23 inches

its hard to tell. the mouth of the fish is small and you cant see the whole fish. this fish is also just over 23" and its mouth was just big enough for me to put a closed fist through.
3.50-4.25
4lbs.
skunked_again, I don't want to be rude but there is no way on earth that fisch is 23" unless you're a giant. Sorry dude!

lol
i really dont want to touch this one.....
but since you asked.....
and its only my personal guess (as pics arent really a good judge of size, as we all know)
id say anywhere from 3 to 3.5
5 to 7#?????????? ;D ;D
3.5# would be my best estimate.
Well you are a big guy and if that fish is 23 inches I'd say it's over 5lbs and getting close to six. Now if that fish is more in the 20 to 21 inch range it's in the 4 pound range.
