Nice light reel nice smooth retrieval I have it on a smaller rod than I want to right now but hopefully I can find a good one for it in a few days. This reel seems to be really well made and durable so that’s all I need don’t need to be spending hundreds of dollars on fancy gear that does the same thing.

Anthony Melton : High Quality Spinning Reel

This is not my favorite type of fishing reel. Having said that I can say that I have used several similar spinning reels and this is probably the best one I have used. Its only negative for me is its size as I prefer a smaller reel for freshwater fishing. I only fish in fresh water lakes and rarely hook into anything more than 8 pounds so this reel is probably overkill. It has all the features I would ever need and adjusting the drag on-the-fly is easy. I paired it with a very good quality new rod and the combination made for an excellent casting and smooth reeling experience. I have yet to catch anything of notable size yet but that is due to poor water conditions at local lakes and weather. I put 20 pound braided line on it so I am ready for that 12 pound bass when it does bite. I do recommend this reel for those who are a fan of spinning reels.

Shark Bait : Cast and reel in very smoothly

So far so good. It cast out smoothly with my 40 pound braided line. It reels in smoothly too as most new reel. I got this one specifically because it's advertised for saltwater and I do 90% saltwater fishing.
Few of my other reels already starting to see rust on the screws even though I rinse with fresh water after every use.
So will update if that happens with this particular reel.

Super smooth and easy casting. Very easy to set up and prepare for use. I do mostly small lake fishing so the heavy line that was included was not used by me, but I used 4 lb line and it worked very well.

This is a good lighter duty reel. The bale flips easily and the reel winds and unwinds smoothly. We are in a saltwater environment s but it seems this is suitable.

I am an avid fisherman and angle mostly bass, crappie and bluegill, but river fish too. This reel has 13 + 1 ball bearings and provides a smooth action. It's not overly heavy and sits in about the right spot on the rod. Some that I have had sit too far forward and make me uncomfortable holding them (my usual hold is in between my index and middle fingers) and I have to move the hand placement of the reel in order for my index finger to reach the string for casting. I loaded this with 10LB test line (shown). I intended to load it with 12LB test, but did not have any like I thought I did. This comes with some braided line as a sample, I suppose. There's not enough line provided to do any fishing; not casting very far anyway. It casts easily (I tested in my yard). I have not gotten to actually use it fishing as of yet.

The only thing I don't like about it is something that seems most or all reels have gone to over the years and that is the handle collapses on its own. I prefer the older type that have the handle that stays extended on its own. This one you have to make sure you hold it out while reeling and every once in a while, these collapse because you don't hold them just right. But, like I said, this is most or all newer reels now. All in all, for the $38 price tag (I received the 4400), it seems to be a decent reel. Time will tell if it holds up.

UPDATE: 6/3/21: I wanted to update after being able to fish/field test this reel. I dropped 1 star due to the handle of the reel just seems out of balance and does not want to stay in the extended position without considerable, concentrated effort. One will have to train themselves to use this reel as opposed to the more natural feel of most reels. I am not a fan of these types of reel handles anyway, but this one just doesn't feel natural or right.
