Answer: Nope...not there. These are made in Korea...or at least that's what the label on the reel's foot states.

JDK : Good quality / worth the money

Solid, well made with large scale arbor. Overall worth the money, good starter reel. For my preferences it is too heavy when spooled up with backing and line for a 5wt / 9 ft rod. The retrieve is ok. The graduated scale/settings for the drag is good, if not a bit tight on the lower settings. Not really the greatest for light tippets. That being said - for 150 USD, this is a good reel that will last a long time.
