Answer: Not sure about adult chickens but it is a virtual chick magnet. Tried it on an 80lb anteater and I can swear it laughed at me. For chickens, just make an open loop with a wire coat hanger and catch them by the foot. I use that to both catch chickens and steal cars.

I have been wanting a small net to scoop up fish caught on the river or lake. This is perfect for trout or small-medium fish. Folds nicely and hooks on your belt. Very portable, but isn't cumbersome. Storage is easy as it takes up little space. But when deployed, it becomes a very sturdy way to pull small-medium fish from the water, without bending over or snapping your line. From the moment you open this net, you can tell that it is extremely well made. The netting itself is made of a thick, rubber-like material that is sure to easily widstand any large fish that you may catch with it. The net opening is extremely wide and will allow for even the biggest fish to easily be netted! The net itself is not overly long (coming in at about 3 feet) but it comes in handy for securing a big catch! I can also confirm that this net also does float as I accidently have dropped it from the side of a boat! Thankfully, it stayed floating and I was quickly able to retrieve it! The handle is also extremely well made. It seems to be metallic, has a nice clip that could be used to secure it to a backpack or to other gear, and also has a decent grip with lanyard attached to also secure the net when fishing. With the push of a button, the handle and net quickly will fold in half allowing for the net to efficiently be stored or conveniently placed in a backpack for easy carrying as I have done. I have successfully used this net to bring in large trout, catfish, bass and many other fish since I have received it! The net shows absolutely no signs of wear and tear after some extensive use and will likely stay that way for years to come! This net is an extremely well made one that I highly recommend for any fisherman!

My husband and I each purchased this net for trout fishing. This would have been a great net if there was a locking system when the net is folded. We ended up throwing our nets in the bed of the truck after day one because the net kept unfolding causing a major safety risk as we’re wading through ruff terrain and hikes. I’m sure these will end up at the lake house but if your needing a net to clip on and trout fish this is not the one! Overall quality of the net is pretty solid with great material! I ended up getting the net caught on a big rock in the water as I was wading up river through Spring Creek in Colorado ( pretty ruff area) I was jerked back losing stability from the water and the handle went into my ribs, even though I was broken the net remained just fine (ha!!!!) maybe if your ok with the extended net and clip on your upper back with a retractable cord it would work for wading ?!

This is my 2nd fish net and it's perfect for the inshore fishing I do... It's foldable & compact and very solid and it has a very thick mil rubber coated netting and also a thick vinyl frame around the entire frame with foam that will make it float if it gets dropped into the water that I'm actually very surprised at. I didn't expect it to have this level of quality. It's easy to work with one hand when landing a fish. I can keep it folded but it's designed to open up instantly with a flick of my wrist... The size of this net is amazing!????. I had no idea that it was as large as it is! They have a smaller size yet I choose this one! It can catch or to give you an idea, hold up to at least 10 nice size fish or even more! It’s not even heavy to hold and the pole is adjustable and sturdy! The net itself is made with some kind of plastic(maybe even nylon) or mixed materials yet it is durable! The price is good and it’s worth it!????.

My first time picking this net up I was very surprised at how light it was! Despite this, the handle/hoop material felt very sturdy did not leave any impression of fragility. I further tested this theory by letting my two kids play with it (they were very excited by my new toy). After watching them chase each other around "catching" each others heads for a while, I got it back and saw that the frame did indeed hold up well. Despite the non-traditional abuse that I subjected it to, the hinge still felt very solid and strong. I tested the folding mechanism several times and was happy to see each time the locking ring hold everything stable as soon as it clicked into place. Lightweight and compact, it's perfect for my next backpacking adventure and I can't wait to get out there and use it!

This net is real light and you can put it on your pac or belt and not notice it there . I really like the wat the flotation part of it is in the top rim and is nice and slim most others look like they put a pool noodle around it . Folds up real easy and you can flip it open with one hand and it will lock into place on the most part it is spring loaded. Rubber net looks like string with rubber coating over it . For the price point this thing is worth it . (Not for big game fishing.)

I ordered 2 of these, one of the smaller non-telescopic, and one of the larger size with telescopic handle. Got them on sale for about 20% off. I like them both. Great for saving space when space is limited, because they fold up. Fish friendly mesh. However, my only complaint is that honestly they do feel a bit cheap... especially the larger one. I’m not sure how long the telescoping/folding mechanisms will actually hold up after frequent use hoisting up big fish, and bouncing around a boat or car trunk. It’s cheap plastic. The smaller size non-telescopic one gives me the impression it will hold up longer. BUT! it’s pretty small, if you’re frequently catching fish over 5lbs you probably want the bigger one. Either way I gave 4 stars because they are decent for the price and I don’t regret the purchase.

Didn't get to us the net until after the 30 day return policy. When I went to bring in the fish (only a 1-2 pounder, the net broke snapped at the plastic connection. Very poor design! I tried gluing it it back, but no glue in the world is going to work at that strength spot. Amazon can't do anything. Contacted the company but no reply. Looked good in the picture though :(

It’s a net. Fits fine on my kayak, and it doesn’t mess up the fish scales or get hooks caught in it. Probably wouldn’t last forever with a ton of huge catches, so probably not for you professionals, but for this weekend warrior it’s a good net.

Great collapsible net. Netting is rubberized, handle has a good grip when wet, there's an easy folding mechanism and handy belt loop. Definitely a great addition to my fishing kit for a great value!

Love this net. Works great for trout. Love that's it's lightweight and telescoping. I HATE that when you close it, it doesn't lock at all. It flops open even when clipped to your belt or wherever. I'm gonna drill a hole so when its folded, the plastic piece has a groove to lock into.

This was exactly what I was looking for. I'm a shore fisherman and love the collapsibility of this net. It fits will in my backpack and reaches well for higher shores. It also dries quickly and hasn't collected any off odors. I'm glad I bought it.

Great quality. Had mine for about 2 months now and it’s been wonderful. Folding action is great and locks in place, it’s lightweight and it’s a rubber coated netting which is much safer and fish friendly. 5 stars.

I purchased to put in my kayak when I go fishing. I was able to put this big catfish in it but, I was on my paddleboard. Very good product.
therosses5 : Had to cut net to free a treble hook
I want to love this net, but the first fish I netted, turned in the net causing a treble hook to get wrapped around all three barbs so tightly that it took about 30 minutes to clear it. I had to cut part of the net because the fabric was so tight, I couldn't get it over the barb. I thought this would be more rubber like and would slide off the fish, but it tended to cling to the fish so it got wrapped when the fish spun.

I bought this for my husband and he ABSOLUTELY LOVES IT. We were both very impressed with the quality of the net. It won’t get torn with use and folds down pretty small.

I'm impressed with product quality and price. It's a nice compact medium-duty net. Netting material is coated and is soft and supple. A vertical raise once fish is in will be the strongest result.

Didn't get to us the net until after the 30 day return policy. When I went to bring in the fish (only a 1-2 pounder, the net broke snapped at the plastic connection. Very poor design! I tried gluing it it back, but no glue in the world is going to work at that strength spot. Amazon can't do anything. Contacted the company but no reply. Looked good in the picture though :(

I just bought this last week for the kayak... would not recommend unless you catch super small fish. Cheap product, very plastic, caught a 26" redfish and damaged it... next fish I catch over 20" i bet will break it completely.

I like it so far. It's lightweight but feels sturdy. I tested it in my pool and it floats! I'm a little concern for the plastic latch at the hoop though. Seems a little weak but it's holding up so far. I guess that's what you get to have the folding option, which I wanted and needed. The rubberized netting is great! That was the main thing I was looking for. Good size hoop and good depth on the net too.

I bought this mostly for big bass in the kayak. Well, the first fish I caught and net was a 35" Northern Pike. The net help up under all that weight perfectly and I couldn't believe he actually fit! This things packs down small but really delivers in quality. I highly recommend it!

I bought this net to use while fishing from my kayak. Its pretty awesome. It folds which is nice when storing it either in the kayak to traveling in the car. It has a very robust feel to it. The net itself is not very big, but its the perfect size for fish in my area. I am very pleased with my purchase. I own other Plusinno gear, and it is all good quality for the price.

This was a gift from my husband from my kids he absolutely loves it it’s great that it folds in half so it’s easy to carry on your hip or stick it in our bucket it was a great value for a very high-quality so far we haven’t had any issues with it.

The PLUSINNO fishing net is fine for a boat or kayak, but carrying it while wading is a bit of a pain, as is does not stay folded. I have to keep it under my arm.

Very nice net end well made. My only grief with this holding back 5 stars is that it only floats when handle is fully extended or else the net sinks. I wasn’t expecting that. I wade along mangroves and would rather not have it extended when wading to my spots, still very nice net and well made. Would recommend

I just got the new Plusinno fishing net and look forward to the years of use catching some good fish. The net floats, is very light, good colors and the head folds for easy transportation. The handle is sturdy but not as long as I wanted so we added a PVC extension and it works great. They make a longer one so I must have ordered the shorter one it’s a great product.
