Product Description

Answer: No it is not large enough or strong enough . My lodge is near the Salmon River in N Y so I am sure it will not. It is ideal for fish 10 lbs and under. Hope this helps.

Answer: Holes should be small enough to catch Japanese beetles.
Answer: it is possible
Q:
Can you unfold it reliably with one hand?
Q:
Would this be large/sturdy enough to catch chickens? They range in size from bantams to Rhode Island reds.
Answer: Not sure about adult chickens but it is a virtual chick magnet. Tried it on an 80lb anteater and I can swear it laughed at me. For chickens, just make an open loop with a wire coat hanger and catch them by the foot. I use that to both catch chickens and steal cars.
Answer: Never caught a chicken before....it is pretty strong and I think it would work.
Answer: No. This net was designed for netting fish, not chickens.
Q:
To loosen handle If I am facing the front of the net with rear handle towards me and front of the net away from me do I turn clockwise or counterclock
Answer: My handle does not turn at all.
Answer: Be sure you have one of the models that actually has a telescoping handle. Some are fixed length.
Q:
Can this be used for netting blue crabs?
Answer: Probably.
Q:
How long is the handle?
Answer: Haven't really measured it, maybe 2 or 3 feet

Product reviews of PLUSINNO Floating Fishing Net for Steelhead, Salmon, Fly, Kayak, Catfish, Bass, Trout Fishing, Rubber Coated Landing Net for Easy Catch & Release, Compact & Foldable for Easy Transportation & Storage
Anthony Le : Lightweight, durable and very compact
Very compact and lightweight. Pricing is very competitive compare to the big brands. Quality is good. I’m glad that I found this brand, already bought 2 fishing reels from them and they are great.
Abby : Sturdy, durable
Well made net. Very sturdy, lightweight, and durable. The only criticism I have, is that the handle does lock when folded. Otherwise great net, very happy with it!
Christopher : Good net, may have to reglue some parts!
Purchased this for my son so he can net minnows and frogs from the side of our fiahing pond and at our lakehouse. Seemed high quality but the handle came unglued on the first use. After a quick repair with some gorilla glue it has worked fine months later. Not sure if it was one that made it past Quality Control but everything else has stayed glued. Net works great otherwise! Son loves it!
Hamadi : Just the right fishing net
I got this for my kayak fishing and it's great. Yesterday I fished offshore and you can hold 8lbs fish like a champion.
Cristin Luea : This net's durability is great
The foam handle is pretty comfortable and waist clip is really nice. The carabiner that comes with it makes it easy to snap to your fishing vest. I like how the rubberized net makes it easy to untangle if you get a hook stuck in it.
Simpsonteam : Great size, smooth operation, nice extension
Perfect for our region in the NW. This one is versatile which I needed. Operation/deployment is easy. We'll see about longevity and how sturdy it is. I absolutely don't regret the purchase at this price.
Janet Rebhan : Lacks a telescopic handle
This fishing net would be perfect if the handle telescoped to add extra length when needed. Unfortunately I had to return because I felt it would be too short.
TheDeitz : Don't even try with barbed hooks
Overall the net seems fairly sturdy and is nice to have folded up and stowed away on a small vessel or carried. Function wise its hot garbage, I'm not sure why these nets have such small holes because on nearly every fish I land the hooks get tangled up and I have to spend good deal of time to get it out of the net. Even worse when using barbed hooks it is usually impossible to get unsnagged and I've had to cut some of the netting just to get the hooks out. This net is supposed to help me land fish and I've lost multiple while trying to get everything untangled.
NYR717 : Waste of money
Don't use this net for anything more that a 12 inch bass. It's a total waste of money if you are going for anything larger. Plus it's so short it's hard to net anything. The net also ripped after just 2 uses.
therosses5 : Had to cut net to free a treble hook
I want to love this net, but the first fish I netted, turned in the net causing a treble hook to get wrapped around all three barbs so tightly that it took about 30 minutes to clear it. I had to cut part of the net because the fabric was so tight, I couldn't get it over the barb. I thought this would be more rubber like and would slide off the fish, but it tended to cling to the fish so it got wrapped when the fish spun.
Sunny1 : Perfect for trout and small fish.
This net is lightweight sturdy and durable but unfortunately for the giant cat fish that I catch the arm is just not long enough and then that really isn't deep enough. I will be returning it and finding some thing with a longer handle but I absolutely love this if I was just going to do trout fishing
Carrie : Great at first
My son LOVED this net at first! He pulled in a 20 lb catfish with it. It’s easy to carry, convenient to fold up and light weight. However after less than one fishing season the plastic that allows the net to pivot broke and now it’s completely unusable! Update 8/23/2021. I changed the stars from 2 to 5 because of excellent customer service. I reached out to this company to let them know about the broken product and they quickly apologized for the inconvenience shipped me a free replacement. Thanks again for the great customer service!!
Happy Customer : Great quality! You won’t be disappointed!
The size of this net is amazing!????. I had no idea that it was as large as it is! They have a smaller size yet I choose this one! It can catch or to give you an idea, hold up to at least 10 nice size fish or even more! It’s not even heavy to hold and the pole is adjustable and sturdy! The net itself is made with some kind of plastic(maybe even nylon) or mixed materials yet it is durable! The price is good and it’s worth it!????.
Gray : Love it
This was a gift from my husband from my kids he absolutely loves it it’s great that it folds in half so it’s easy to carry on your hip or stick it in our bucket it was a great value for a very high-quality so far we haven’t had any issues with it.
Amazon Customer : NOT for trout fishing!
This net is NOT for trout fishing the handle does not lock in place and worse the lure gets caught in the netting on every catch. Its is incredibly poorly designed. This still may be fine for single hooks or barbless hooks... just no lures for trout or bass
Brian Harris : Fantastic
Great quality. Had mine for about 2 months now and it’s been wonderful. Folding action is great and locks in place, it’s lightweight and it’s a rubber coated netting which is much safer and fish friendly. 5 stars.
carla : Broke the first time used.
Didn't get to us the net until after the 30 day return policy. When I went to bring in the fish (only a 1-2 pounder, the net broke snapped at the plastic connection. Very poor design! I tried gluing it it back, but no glue in the world is going to work at that strength spot. Amazon can't do anything. Contacted the company but no reply. Looked good in the picture though :(
Janet Rebhan : Lacks a telescopic handle
This fishing net would be perfect if the handle telescoped to add extra length when needed. Unfortunately I had to return because I felt it would be too short.
Amazon Customer : Great net but needs locking feature!
My husband and I each purchased this net for trout fishing. This would have been a great net if there was a locking system when the net is folded. We ended up throwing our nets in the bed of the truck after day one because the net kept unfolding causing a major safety risk as we’re wading through ruff terrain and hikes. I’m sure these will end up at the lake house but if your needing a net to clip on and trout fish this is not the one! Overall quality of the net is pretty solid with great material! I ended up getting the net caught on a big rock in the water as I was wading up river through Spring Creek in Colorado ( pretty ruff area) I was jerked back losing stability from the water and the handle went into my ribs, even though I was broken the net remained just fine (ha!!!!) maybe if your ok with the extended net and clip on your upper back with a retractable cord it would work for wading ?!
M : Perfect kayak net - secure it anywhere, rubber net, foldable design, very well thought out
I'm a kayak fisherman and was looking for a new net that was rubber, rather than rope because those blasted triple hooks would inevitably get caught. After spending way too much time trying to pry them out, I usually result to cut them out. Not so with a rubber net! I'm impressed with the number of places this thing fits in the kayak. I use a Lifetime Teton Angler and I can put this in a rod holder, tuck it under the back, tuck it under the front, or just clip it to the bungy straps with the included carabiner (an added plus) and just let it hang loose without worry of it falling in and losing it. More than 75% of the fish I catch can just be lifted straight into the kayak as I'm so close to the water, but then they tend to flail around in the kak and rub slime all in my boat and on my legs and shoes, so I'll probably be using this more than I initially thought I would. Netted my first Bass in it and was pleasantly surprised how calm it felt lying in the net. I even trusted letting go of the net because I had it secured to the kayak Not sure the folding mechanism will hold up to really heavy bass, fish after fish, but I'll let you know. For now, it's a very well thought out design, and I'm looking forward to introducing it to more fishy fish.
Dave8563 : PLUSINNO fishing net is fine for a boat but not for wading.
The PLUSINNO fishing net is fine for a boat or kayak, but carrying it while wading is a bit of a pain, as is does not stay folded. I have to keep it under my arm.
Janet Rebhan : Lacks a telescopic handle
This fishing net would be perfect if the handle telescoped to add extra length when needed. Unfortunately I had to return because I felt it would be too short.
Gray : Love it
This was a gift from my husband from my kids he absolutely loves it it’s great that it folds in half so it’s easy to carry on your hip or stick it in our bucket it was a great value for a very high-quality so far we haven’t had any issues with it.
Dog : Perfect for a kyak.
This ended up being a great mid sized net for use in my kyak, and yes it does float. Love the collapsible handle that extends if needed. Great net for trout, bass, crappie or bream.
KalEl28 : Was a "Good Quality Net"
**Update** Net stopped allowing twist to expand it. Instead the handle just came off. Would not buy this again now or recommend.
Great size net. I like that it can fold up to be mostly out of the way and I can extend it to make it even longer and easier to net a fish from the kayak. Rubber netting makes it easier to not get tangled with my lures. The net opening is large enough where I don't have to worry about any bass I'm trying to catch not fitting in there. Would buy again.
Hamadi : Just the right fishing net
I got this for my kayak fishing and it's great. Yesterday I fished offshore and you can hold 8lbs fish like a champion.
Sam Horton : It floats!
This net is very durable. You can snag catfish with this thing. The net is rubber so your hooks don't get caught and the fish aren't harmed. It has a belt clip to attach to your pants and also has a hook to attach to something else, if needed. The net floats perfectly. Both the net (with foam pieces around the rim of net) and the handle (with foam wrapped around the shaft) float. If you drop it, don't worry- it will wait for you to pick it up. Once picked up out of the water, the net is nearly dry already. The foam grip doesn't hold water and it felt dry to the touch. Definitely recommend!
Clay : Sturdy, light, and well designed.
I just got the new Plusinno fishing net and look forward to the years of use catching some good fish. The net floats, is very light, good colors and the head folds for easy transportation. The handle is sturdy but not as long as I wanted so we added a PVC extension and it works great. They make a longer one so I must have ordered the shorter one it’s a great product.
Steve S. : Nice inshore Net but has its limitations
All in all a nice net for inshore kayak fishing, stores nicely out of the way, it floats and easily removes treble hooks from any entanglement, I'm sure it has its limitations so you be the judge, I use it for Specks, Puppy Drum and small Rockfish.
Seth : Good space saving net
I ordered 2 of these, one of the smaller non-telescopic, and one of the larger size with telescopic handle. Got them on sale for about 20% off. I like them both. Great for saving space when space is limited, because they fold up. Fish friendly mesh. However, my only complaint is that honestly they do feel a bit cheap... especially the larger one. I’m not sure how long the telescoping/folding mechanisms will actually hold up after frequent use hoisting up big fish, and bouncing around a boat or car trunk. It’s cheap plastic. The smaller size non-telescopic one gives me the impression it will hold up longer. BUT! it’s pretty small, if you’re frequently catching fish over 5lbs you probably want the bigger one. Either way I gave 4 stars because they are decent for the price and I don’t regret the purchase.
B : Great floating net!
Great net for fishing from either boat or shore. Folds and deploys easily. Best part is it floats just Incase it where to fall in.
Landon Prather : Decent
The actual net portion of this item works great. However, the carabiner that is provided is cheaply made, and broke quickly on my first trip. A design change suggestion would be to build with a better carabiner, and use an elastic strap vs a solid string that it will attach to, which would make it easier to net a fish.
NYR717 : Waste of money
Don't use this net for anything more that a 12 inch bass. It's a total waste of money if you are going for anything larger. Plus it's so short it's hard to net anything. The net also ripped after just 2 uses.
2BFair : Great net/flimsy rod
All in all the net is great, but the rod itself is awful. I wish it had an extender, its very short. The net itself is great as stated (not great for catching minnows but it does float. The foam on the end started breaking off after 2 very short uses which is why this only gets a 1 star.
2BFair : Great net/flimsy rod

Valentin garcia : Net-alishious. This thing is great!
This net is the best for the price. I have 3 fishing nets from Amazon. This by far is the best, it folds, and it extends. It’s perfect to take down to the shore because it’s so light. It even comes with a cool little carabiner. Like I said, for the price this is the best quality by far.
Cristin Luea : This net's durability is great
The foam handle is pretty comfortable and waist clip is really nice. The carabiner that comes with it makes it easy to snap to your fishing vest. I like how the rubberized net makes it easy to untangle if you get a hook stuck in it.

The PLUSINNO fishing net is fine for a boat or kayak, but carrying it while wading is a bit of a pain, as is does not stay folded. I have to keep it under my arm.
Earnest Hemmingway : Good product but has a major con.
Love this net. Works great for trout. Love that's it's lightweight and telescoping. I HATE that when you close it, it doesn't lock at all. It flops open even when clipped to your belt or wherever. I'm gonna drill a hole so when its folded, the plastic piece has a groove to lock into.
AAAA310 : Waste of money
Waste of money,cheaply done.
B. Positive : I think I will love this net. In home test 5 ★★★★★
Well, I bought this net in my off season (too hot it fish now). I will haul in limits of stocked trout in my favorite spot the end of February (that is when my state starts stocking there).
Holding it and working it in my home, I am very pleased with its weight and functions. And it will float. How great is that. Well, I have never dropped a net in the water.... but a floating net is neat. It is pretty to.
So look at all the great reviews. No reason to not buy it, except the one-month return policy when you are not even using it. Oh, well. I rarely ever return anything anyway.
Derek : Does the job great.
Lost a monster while boating it, vowed never again. Bought this net and used it to net a 2.6lb large on first trip out.
I intentionally left it in my rod holder while driving out, handled it no problem. It floats. Folds and seems sturdy. Does the job.
A. Mondae-bozman : Great net!
This net is awesome! I primarily use it for kayak fishing, but it is great for shore fishing too. The handle is super sturdy and the net is big enough for some nice catches. I recommend this to anyone who wants a net portable enough to stow away on a kayak, canoe, bike, or even in a backpack. If you took the 25 bucks to any fishing store, you wouldn't find a net half as good.

This net is great. I enjoyed using it out on the bank and it handled channel cat fish just fine. My only complaint is that the handle itself does not extend. Overall very well buil product, fun to use and very enjoyable.
Derek : Does the job great.
Lost a monster while boating it, vowed never again. Bought this net and used it to net a 2.6lb large on first trip out.
I intentionally left it in my rod holder while driving out, handled it no problem. It floats. Folds and seems sturdy. Does the job.
Chris and Katie Jolly : Cheaply made, ripped in less than a month with only five to six uses.
In less than a month, it ripped at the seem and my husband only used it 5-6xs. It's very cheaply made and would like a refund.
Abby : Sturdy, durable
Well made net. Very sturdy, lightweight, and durable. The only criticism I have, is that the handle does lock when folded. Otherwise great net, very happy with it!
Kevin S : Sturdy, Convenient & Fantastic !
This is my 2nd fish net and it's perfect for the inshore fishing I do... It's foldable & compact and very solid and it has a very thick mil rubber coated netting and also a thick vinyl frame around the entire frame with foam that will make it float if it gets dropped into the water that I'm actually very surprised at. I didn't expect it to have this level of quality. It's easy to work with one hand when landing a fish. I can keep it folded but it's designed to open up instantly with a flick of my wrist... Very Nice :) Very easy to fold/unfold and lightweight. I LOVE this net... I'll update with additional observations as I use it in the future. Shout out to Plusinno AGAIN !! I have their Rods & Reels & multiple segmented lures and tackle kits. You provide quality, solid gear at really good prices... Thanks !! Very Happy Customer :)
