Could this handle Chinook Salmon?
Answer: It might be a little small for that. You would probably want a bigger landing net. I use this net for bass, and it can handle some pretty chunky guys, but I wouldn't put it up against a salmon.
Answer: No it is not large enough or strong enough . My lodge is near the Salmon River in N Y so I am sure it will not. It is ideal for fish 10 lbs and under. Hope this helps.
Q:
how large area the holes. can i catch japanese beetles in it?
Answer: Holes should be small enough to catch Japanese beetles.
Answer: it is possible
Q:
Can you unfold it reliably with one hand?
Q:
Would this be large/sturdy enough to catch chickens? They range in size from bantams to Rhode Island reds.
Answer: Not sure about adult chickens but it is a virtual chick magnet. Tried it on an 80lb anteater and I can swear it laughed at me. For chickens, just make an open loop with a wire coat hanger and catch them by the foot. I use that to both catch chickens and steal cars.
Answer: Never caught a chicken before....it is pretty strong and I think it would work.
Answer: No. This net was designed for netting fish, not chickens.
Q:
To loosen handle If I am facing the front of the net with rear handle towards me and front of the net away from me do I turn clockwise or counterclock
Answer: My handle does not turn at all.
Answer: Be sure you have one of the models that actually has a telescoping handle. Some are fixed length.
Q:
Can this be used for netting blue crabs?
Answer: Probably.
Q:
How long is the handle?
Answer: Haven't really measured it, maybe 2 or 3 feet

Product reviews of PLUSINNO Floating Fishing Net for Steelhead, Salmon, Fly, Kayak, Catfish, Bass, Trout Fishing, Rubber Coated Landing Net for Easy Catch & Release, Compact & Foldable for Easy Transportation & Storage
marco : Me encanto flota
Landon Prather : Decent
The actual net portion of this item works great. However, the carabiner that is provided is cheaply made, and broke quickly on my first trip. A design change suggestion would be to build with a better carabiner, and use an elastic strap vs a solid string that it will attach to, which would make it easier to net a fish.
Brian Harris : Fantastic
Great quality. Had mine for about 2 months now and it’s been wonderful. Folding action is great and locks in place, it’s lightweight and it’s a rubber coated netting which is much safer and fish friendly. 5 stars.
christi wisner : Awesome for kayaking or on a paddleboard. Or even a boat.
I purchased to put in my kayak when I go fishing. I was able to put this big catfish in it but, I was on my paddleboard. Very good product.
Chris Bruton : Great! Perfect for hiking and camping.
This was exactly what I was looking for. I'm a shore fisherman and love the collapsibility of this net. It fits will in my backpack and reaches well for higher shores. It also dries quickly and hasn't collected any off odors. I'm glad I bought it.
Anthony Le : Lightweight, durable and very compact
Very compact and lightweight. Pricing is very competitive compare to the big brands. Quality is good. I’m glad that I found this brand, already bought 2 fishing reels from them and they are great.

Amazon Customer : NOT for trout fishing!
This net is NOT for trout fishing the handle does not lock in place and worse the lure gets caught in the netting on every catch. Its is incredibly poorly designed. This still may be fine for single hooks or barbless hooks... just no lures for trout or bass
KalEl28 : Was a "Good Quality Net"
**Update** Net stopped allowing twist to expand it. Instead the handle just came off. Would not buy this again now or recommend.
Great size net. I like that it can fold up to be mostly out of the way and I can extend it to make it even longer and easier to net a fish from the kayak. Rubber netting makes it easier to not get tangled with my lures. The net opening is large enough where I don't have to worry about any bass I'm trying to catch not fitting in there. Would buy again.
Spendsalotof$onAmazon : Save your money it’s junk
I purchased this net on May 15th 2021, it Fell apart after six weeks and only used three times save your money don’t buy it it’s junk. Of course it’s just after warranty so it can’t be returned. Not happy at all.
Tony : So far so good!
I like it so far. It's lightweight but feels sturdy. I tested it in my pool and it floats! I'm a little concern for the plastic latch at the hoop though. Seems a little weak but it's holding up so far. I guess that's what you get to have the folding option, which I wanted and needed. The rubberized netting is great! That was the main thing I was looking for. Good size hoop and good depth on the net too.
christi wisner : Awesome for kayaking or on a paddleboard. Or even a boat.
I purchased to put in my kayak when I go fishing. I was able to put this big catfish in it but, I was on my paddleboard. Very good product.
jmhr : Lightweight and Stowable
Good fishing net. It's bigger than the other one I own, but folds up smaller for storage. There is low density foam all around the rim, and the handle is hollow, so it's not going to sink if you drop it. The locking mechanism seems sturdy enough; it's not going to get much better for a net with moving parts.
RR Campbell : Great net for kayak fishing
Unfortunately, I haven’t caught a fish big enough to put this net to the test yet, but it seems very well made. It fits in my kayak well with the handle folded up and it’s easy to flip it open with one hand. I like that the net is nice and deep.
Brian Harris : Fantastic
Great quality. Had mine for about 2 months now and it’s been wonderful. Folding action is great and locks in place, it’s lightweight and it’s a rubber coated netting which is much safer and fish friendly. 5 stars.
Carrie : Great at first
My son LOVED this net at first! He pulled in a 20 lb catfish with it. It’s easy to carry, convenient to fold up and light weight. However after less than one fishing season the plastic that allows the net to pivot broke and now it’s completely unusable! Update 8/23/2021. I changed the stars from 2 to 5 because of excellent customer service. I reached out to this company to let them know about the broken product and they quickly apologized for the inconvenience shipped me a free replacement. Thanks again for the great customer service!!
Mitchel : Great net at a great price!
Absolutely love this folding fishing net. I love the fact that it features a rubber coated net to protect the fishes delicate scales and protective slime coat. Also hooks do not get caught up in it the way that the uncoated nylon nets do. This unit folds up nicely and locks tight and secure when deployed. This fishing net also features a lanyard and clip so you can secure it to your fishing vessel. Lastly the unit actually floats! One less thing to worry about when you are out on the water. Overall 5 stars. Great job Plusinno!
Gary Chambers : Lightweight/Very strong!
My first time picking this net up I was very surprised at how light it was! Despite this, the handle/hoop material felt very sturdy did not leave any impression of fragility. I further tested this theory by letting my two kids play with it (they were very excited by my new toy). After watching them chase each other around "catching" each others heads for a while, I got it back and saw that the frame did indeed hold up well. Despite the non-traditional abuse that I subjected it to, the hinge still felt very solid and strong. I tested the folding mechanism several times and was happy to see each time the locking ring hold everything stable as soon as it clicked into place. Lightweight and compact, it's perfect for my next backpacking adventure and I can't wait to get out there and use it!
Anon : Collapsed handle doesn't lock in place. Hooks get caught
Disappointing that the handle doesn't lock in the collapsed position so it is insecure and just flops around. They are very subtle about advertising around that fact.
Update: Dropping a star because net does not solve the problem of hook tangles like advertised. Just spent 20 min wriggling and eventually tearing hook out. Don't be like me, buy a net with wider webbing
Cristin Luea : This net's durability is great
The foam handle is pretty comfortable and waist clip is really nice. The carabiner that comes with it makes it easy to snap to your fishing vest. I like how the rubberized net makes it easy to untangle if you get a hook stuck in it.
therosses5 : Had to cut net to free a treble hook
I want to love this net, but the first fish I netted, turned in the net causing a treble hook to get wrapped around all three barbs so tightly that it took about 30 minutes to clear it. I had to cut part of the net because the fabric was so tight, I couldn't get it over the barb. I thought this would be more rubber like and would slide off the fish, but it tended to cling to the fish so it got wrapped when the fish spun.
FauxReal : Light, high quality, and useful.
I bought this mostly for big bass in the kayak. Well, the first fish I caught and net was a 35" Northern Pike. The net help up under all that weight perfectly and I couldn't believe he actually fit! This things packs down small but really delivers in quality. I highly recommend it!
Customer : Very nice net! But, ....
Very nice net end well made. My only grief with this holding back 5 stars is that it only floats when handle is fully extended or else the net sinks. I wasn’t expecting that. I wade along mangroves and would rather not have it extended when wading to my spots, still very nice net and well made. Would recommend

Clay : Sturdy, light, and well designed.
I just got the new Plusinno fishing net and look forward to the years of use catching some good fish. The net floats, is very light, good colors and the head folds for easy transportation. The handle is sturdy but not as long as I wanted so we added a PVC extension and it works great. They make a longer one so I must have ordered the shorter one it’s a great product.
Yorkster : Perfect little net.
This is a great little net for shore fishing or a boat. There is one flaw to it but that’s not a reason to not buy it. The net folds but it does not lock while folded so it bounces around when on waist. Other than that it floats and is a perfect pond net.
Laura : Perfect for the kayak
Folds nicely and floats which is great because I’m a dropper. Kids love to play with it in the creek when they catch fish.
NYR717 : Waste of money
Don't use this net for anything more that a 12 inch bass. It's a total waste of money if you are going for anything larger. Plus it's so short it's hard to net anything. The net also ripped after just 2 uses.
Seth : Good space saving net
I ordered 2 of these, one of the smaller non-telescopic, and one of the larger size with telescopic handle. Got them on sale for about 20% off. I like them both. Great for saving space when space is limited, because they fold up. Fish friendly mesh. However, my only complaint is that honestly they do feel a bit cheap... especially the larger one. I’m not sure how long the telescoping/folding mechanisms will actually hold up after frequent use hoisting up big fish, and bouncing around a boat or car trunk. It’s cheap plastic. The smaller size non-telescopic one gives me the impression it will hold up longer. BUT! it’s pretty small, if you’re frequently catching fish over 5lbs you probably want the bigger one. Either way I gave 4 stars because they are decent for the price and I don’t regret the purchase.

Richie Brown : Would definitely recommend
I ordered this product for when I go out and just so happen to catch a decent size fish I can't just flip up on the bank net works as intended only thing I would change is make the lock for the pivot out of metal instead of plastic or clearance a hair better to make sure it engages fully almost lost a fish when the net folded I from now on check it before I met up a fish otherwise great product and would definitely recommend very portable and nice and lite clip on your belt and roll
Yspecial : Good but need some improvement
Used this net for a month now, I have been wade fishing and cumbersome to carry it on a traditional fishing vest. The extension handle has the screw lock (hiking pole type) that got jammed once, took a while to loosen up and I know it will happen again. I had to use channellock pliers thus may break it next time or two so the durability is questionable. The net floats as advertised.
rmjz : Plastic junk. Screw handle locks up and won't unscrew
It's really flimsy. The design is nice and it's a good size, but they made it all out of cheap plastic. The screwlock on the handle, once you tighten it up, it won't release and the handle is so cheap you can't twist it because the whole handle twists and will break. Don't waste your money until they make one out of aluminum. Sending it back via prime and will keep looking - maybe a Frabil..

AAAA310 : Waste of money
Waste of money,cheaply done.
Kevin J. : This is what I needed!!!!
I love this net!!! Strong lock when opened. No play in it. I have tried to break the locking mechanism with weights in th net. No chance of breaking. Just as described. Clips perfectly on my belt
2BFair : Great net/flimsy rod
All in all the net is great, but the rod itself is awful. I wish it had an extender, its very short. The net itself is great as stated (not great for catching minnows but it does float. The foam on the end started breaking off after 2 very short uses which is why this only gets a 1 star.
Yorkster : Perfect little net.

Dri : Looks great, very light but very sturdy
Just got this awesome fish landing net, looks great, feels very sturdy & is super lightweight. It also folds for easy storage, will even fit inside a backpack, great for me being a kayak angler. Rubberized mesh should be nice for not damaging or snagging on the fish. Can’t wait to try it out on my next trip this weekend. Will update with more photos when there’s fish in the net.
B : Great floating net!
Great net for fishing from either boat or shore. Folds and deploys easily. Best part is it floats just Incase it where to fall in.
Greg : Great value!
Great collapsible net. Netting is rubberized, handle has a good grip when wet, there's an easy folding mechanism and handy belt loop. Definitely a great addition to my fishing kit for a great value!
Andy Hall : Good enough for what you pay for.
It’s a net. Fits fine on my kayak, and it doesn’t mess up the fish scales or get hooks caught in it. Probably wouldn’t last forever with a ton of huge catches, so probably not for you professionals, but for this weekend warrior it’s a good net.
Clay : Sturdy, light, and well designed.

Joe Karpov : Seams and Fabric for Hook To Catch
This net has some issues that make it tough in certain circumstances. The majority of the net is covered in a thin layer of rubber, stopping hooks from catching the mesh. However, the seams are not coated. There is an inch band of fabric around the top of the net, too. If you often use lures with treble hooks you should choose a different net. If you typically use single hooks, this net should work fine. I fish a lot with stick baits, crank baits, and spinners - this net is going to sit in the back of my garage as a loaner.
Nancy G : Felt great. Make sure you see the measurements.
This net is very well made. Extended well. Returned it cause it was a little smaller than I needed. True to the measurements, guess I didn't see that.
TheDeitz : Don't even try with barbed hooks
Overall the net seems fairly sturdy and is nice to have folded up and stowed away on a small vessel or carried. Function wise its hot garbage, I'm not sure why these nets have such small holes because on nearly every fish I land the hooks get tangled up and I have to spend good deal of time to get it out of the net. Even worse when using barbed hooks it is usually impossible to get unsnagged and I've had to cut some of the netting just to get the hooks out. This net is supposed to help me land fish and I've lost multiple while trying to get everything untangled.
Brent : Damaged 1st trip, 26" fish.
I just bought this last week for the kayak... would not recommend unless you catch super small fish. Cheap product, very plastic, caught a 26" redfish and damaged it... next fish I catch over 20" i bet will break it completely.
John J. Gilluly : Great landing net. Light weight, yet durable.
I wanted a net with which I could bring in large Bass and reduce the risks of disengaging the hook or damaging the fish when lifting it out of the water. I mostly fly fish but use spinning tackle during the cooler months. This net is the ticket for both. Light weight yet very durable. I really like the features of the telescopic rod, the collapsible net, and the belt clip. I usually fish from the shore, so I just clip the net on my belt. Because it's so light, you hardly feel its presence. When I'm landing a fish, I can easily and quickly unhook and extend the net with a snap of the hand. I'm strictly a catch-and-release angler, and this net is a good size for both small and large fish and gentle on the fish. A very good value equal to or superior to products two to three times the price. Highly recommended.
marco : Me encanto flota
