Q:
Would this be large/sturdy enough to catch chickens? They range in size from bantams to Rhode Island reds.
Answer: Not sure about adult chickens but it is a virtual chick magnet. Tried it on an 80lb anteater and I can swear it laughed at me. For chickens, just make an open loop with a wire coat hanger and catch them by the foot. I use that to both catch chickens and steal cars.
Answer: Never caught a chicken before....it is pretty strong and I think it would work.
Answer: No. This net was designed for netting fish, not chickens.
Q:
To loosen handle If I am facing the front of the net with rear handle towards me and front of the net away from me do I turn clockwise or counterclock

Q:
Can this be used for netting blue crabs?
Answer: Probably.
Q:
How long is the handle?
Answer: Haven't really measured it, maybe 2 or 3 feet

Product reviews of PLUSINNO Floating Fishing Net for Steelhead, Salmon, Fly, Kayak, Catfish, Bass, Trout Fishing, Rubber Coated Landing Net for Easy Catch & Release, Compact & Foldable for Easy Transportation & Storage
Chris and Katie Jolly : Cheaply made, ripped in less than a month with only five to six uses.
In less than a month, it ripped at the seem and my husband only used it 5-6xs. It's very cheaply made and would like a refund.
Shea Brown : Great gift for any fisherman
This net has saved my marriage. My husband the pack rat always has too much stuff in our too small boat when we fish. It's lightweight, and it's length is adjustable allowing for easy storage, and access when it's needed.
M : Perfect kayak net - secure it anywhere, rubber net, foldable design, very well thought out
I'm a kayak fisherman and was looking for a new net that was rubber, rather than rope because those blasted triple hooks would inevitably get caught. After spending way too much time trying to pry them out, I usually result to cut them out. Not so with a rubber net! I'm impressed with the number of places this thing fits in the kayak. I use a Lifetime Teton Angler and I can put this in a rod holder, tuck it under the back, tuck it under the front, or just clip it to the bungy straps with the included carabiner (an added plus) and just let it hang loose without worry of it falling in and losing it. More than 75% of the fish I catch can just be lifted straight into the kayak as I'm so close to the water, but then they tend to flail around in the kak and rub slime all in my boat and on my legs and shoes, so I'll probably be using this more than I initially thought I would. Netted my first Bass in it and was pleasantly surprised how calm it felt lying in the net. I even trusted letting go of the net because I had it secured to the kayak Not sure the folding mechanism will hold up to really heavy bass, fish after fish, but I'll let you know. For now, it's a very well thought out design, and I'm looking forward to introducing it to more fishy fish.
Greg : Great value!
Great collapsible net. Netting is rubberized, handle has a good grip when wet, there's an easy folding mechanism and handy belt loop. Definitely a great addition to my fishing kit for a great value!
Tsogkhuu Angler : Easy go, fold and check other parts of the river fast
Sometimes some streams let as run long way for checking trouts. During that time, this easy fold-able fishing net helps to fold and go.
Liked this easy fold able floating net.
Another awesome net I have.
rmjz : Plastic junk. Screw handle locks up and won't unscrew
It's really flimsy. The design is nice and it's a good size, but they made it all out of cheap plastic. The screwlock on the handle, once you tighten it up, it won't release and the handle is so cheap you can't twist it because the whole handle twists and will break. Don't waste your money until they make one out of aluminum. Sending it back via prime and will keep looking - maybe a Frabil..
Gray : Love it
This was a gift from my husband from my kids he absolutely loves it it’s great that it folds in half so it’s easy to carry on your hip or stick it in our bucket it was a great value for a very high-quality so far we haven’t had any issues with it.
Greg Peeler : Well made product, I plan on getting the other size too
I got the 19” one and although it’s on the bigger side I’ve really enjoyed it since it’s folding and I can loop it on my gear and quickly access it. Great for strapping to the paddle board and taking up minimal space when not in use. Wide mouth net and telescopic pole make it nice for scooping one up while paddling. Helped me land my first brook trout or two on the fly and was nice having extra net to set it down in the water to remove the hook while not harming the fish. Quality product, will likely get the smaller one as well for when I’m navigating close quarters for creek access.
tracy dz : Great fishing net
My son loves his new fishing net! It’s very well built, folds for easy storage, floats, and the rubber netting is snagless to help protect the fish. Perfect to use on our canoe or from the shore for small and medium sized fish. I’m very impressed at the level of quality for such an affordable rubber fishing net.
Additional features include a durable belt hook and carabiner clip with magnetic release which offer flexibility for keeping this net on solo trip.
Derek : Does the job great.
Lost a monster while boating it, vowed never again. Bought this net and used it to net a 2.6lb large on first trip out.
I intentionally left it in my rod holder while driving out, handled it no problem. It floats. Folds and seems sturdy. Does the job.
Hamadi : Just the right fishing net
I got this for my kayak fishing and it's great. Yesterday I fished offshore and you can hold 8lbs fish like a champion.
Yspecial : Good but need some improvement
Used this net for a month now, I have been wade fishing and cumbersome to carry it on a traditional fishing vest. The extension handle has the screw lock (hiking pole type) that got jammed once, took a while to loosen up and I know it will happen again. I had to use channellock pliers thus may break it next time or two so the durability is questionable. The net floats as advertised.
Josh : Light
I bought this one to use in the kenai for reds and it broke on the second day. But it was a very difficult net to use in the current because if it’s design. I think it would be great for 20” trout in a lake. But in a current it was like dipping an umbrella trying to net a powerful ball of muscle.
TheDeitz : Don't even try with barbed hooks
Overall the net seems fairly sturdy and is nice to have folded up and stowed away on a small vessel or carried. Function wise its hot garbage, I'm not sure why these nets have such small holes because on nearly every fish I land the hooks get tangled up and I have to spend good deal of time to get it out of the net. Even worse when using barbed hooks it is usually impossible to get unsnagged and I've had to cut some of the netting just to get the hooks out. This net is supposed to help me land fish and I've lost multiple while trying to get everything untangled.
Over The Bars : I REALLY LIKE THIS FISHING NET.
This net is real light and you can put it on your pac or belt and not notice it there . I really like the wat the flotation part of it is in the top rim and is nice and slim most others look like they put a pool noodle around it . Folds up real easy and you can flip it open with one hand and it will lock into place on the most part it is spring loaded. Rubber net looks like string with rubber coating over it . For the price point this thing is worth it . (Not for big game fishing.)
Yorkster : Perfect little net.
This is a great little net for shore fishing or a boat. There is one flaw to it but that’s not a reason to not buy it. The net folds but it does not lock while folded so it bounces around when on waist. Other than that it floats and is a perfect pond net.
carla : Broke the first time used.
Didn't get to us the net until after the 30 day return policy. When I went to bring in the fish (only a 1-2 pounder, the net broke snapped at the plastic connection. Very poor design! I tried gluing it it back, but no glue in the world is going to work at that strength spot. Amazon can't do anything. Contacted the company but no reply. Looked good in the picture though :(
Laura : Perfect for the kayak
Folds nicely and floats which is great because I’m a dropper. Kids love to play with it in the creek when they catch fish.
Christopher : Good net, may have to reglue some parts!
Purchased this for my son so he can net minnows and frogs from the side of our fiahing pond and at our lakehouse. Seemed high quality but the handle came unglued on the first use. After a quick repair with some gorilla glue it has worked fine months later. Not sure if it was one that made it past Quality Control but everything else has stayed glued. Net works great otherwise! Son loves it!
Kevin S : Sturdy, Convenient & Fantastic !
This is my 2nd fish net and it's perfect for the inshore fishing I do... It's foldable & compact and very solid and it has a very thick mil rubber coated netting and also a thick vinyl frame around the entire frame with foam that will make it float if it gets dropped into the water that I'm actually very surprised at. I didn't expect it to have this level of quality. It's easy to work with one hand when landing a fish. I can keep it folded but it's designed to open up instantly with a flick of my wrist... Very Nice :) Very easy to fold/unfold and lightweight. I LOVE this net... I'll update with additional observations as I use it in the future. Shout out to Plusinno AGAIN !! I have their Rods & Reels & multiple segmented lures and tackle kits. You provide quality, solid gear at really good prices... Thanks !! Very Happy Customer :)
Honest Joe : Last net I will ever own!
The boys and I needed a net. Purchased the Plusinno net based on it looked good for the price. Once received, WOW. This is much more than expected. This net is done right. Light, strong, collapsible and has a belt clip and a lanyard. To extend takes less than a second and only one hand needed. Fast, just flip it and it snaps in place. Did not get a fish in the net but placed a 12lb bottle of liquid dish detergent in it and it held with no issue. The design is well thought out as the handle is strong and comfortable, and the netting is VERY reinforced around the rim. I can't imaging this breaking. It feels stronger than the weight I could put in it. Cool blue and black colors. It's a keeper for sure!
Shea Brown : Great gift for any fisherman
This net has saved my marriage. My husband the pack rat always has too much stuff in our too small boat when we fish. It's lightweight, and it's length is adjustable allowing for easy storage, and access when it's needed.
Amazon Customer : Would buy again
Plenty big for what I typically catch. I love the telescoping/folding handle for portability and the rubber net that treble hooks dont get all tangled up in. Comes with a small caribine hook to attach to your belt or vest. The fact that is floats is great for using kayak fishing (dont have to worry about it falling in). Overall a great net for the price.
marco : Me encanto flota
carla : Broke the first time used.

KG : Compact and high quality
I bought this for my husband and he ABSOLUTELY LOVES IT. We were both very impressed with the quality of the net. It won’t get torn with use and folds down pretty small.
Gray : Love it
This was a gift from my husband from my kids he absolutely loves it it’s great that it folds in half so it’s easy to carry on your hip or stick it in our bucket it was a great value for a very high-quality so far we haven’t had any issues with it.
Scott Goin : Haven’t used it yet but seems pretty durable
If They had designed this out of aircraft aluminum like the mag lights are built, this thing would be bar none. The fact that it folds and is telescopic is phenomenal. Seems like it will hold up for many years of use
Amazon Customer : NOT for trout fishing!
This net is NOT for trout fishing the handle does not lock in place and worse the lure gets caught in the netting on every catch. Its is incredibly poorly designed. This still may be fine for single hooks or barbless hooks... just no lures for trout or bass
A. Mondae-bozman : Great net!
This net is awesome! I primarily use it for kayak fishing, but it is great for shore fishing too. The handle is super sturdy and the net is big enough for some nice catches. I recommend this to anyone who wants a net portable enough to stow away on a kayak, canoe, bike, or even in a backpack. If you took the 25 bucks to any fishing store, you wouldn't find a net half as good.
Greg : Great value!
Great collapsible net. Netting is rubberized, handle has a good grip when wet, there's an easy folding mechanism and handy belt loop. Definitely a great addition to my fishing kit for a great value!
RR Campbell : Great net for kayak fishing
Unfortunately, I haven’t caught a fish big enough to put this net to the test yet, but it seems very well made. It fits in my kayak well with the handle folded up and it’s easy to flip it open with one hand. I like that the net is nice and deep.
Scott Goin : Haven’t used it yet but seems pretty durable
If They had designed this out of aircraft aluminum like the mag lights are built, this thing would be bar none. The fact that it folds and is telescopic is phenomenal. Seems like it will hold up for many years of use

Andy Hall : Good enough for what you pay for.
It’s a net. Fits fine on my kayak, and it doesn’t mess up the fish scales or get hooks caught in it. Probably wouldn’t last forever with a ton of huge catches, so probably not for you professionals, but for this weekend warrior it’s a good net.
tracy dz : Great fishing net
My son loves his new fishing net! It’s very well built, folds for easy storage, floats, and the rubber netting is snagless to help protect the fish. Perfect to use on our canoe or from the shore for small and medium sized fish. I’m very impressed at the level of quality for such an affordable rubber fishing net.

Greg : Great value!
Great collapsible net. Netting is rubberized, handle has a good grip when wet, there's an easy folding mechanism and handy belt loop. Definitely a great addition to my fishing kit for a great value!
RangerBear : Nice product.
I'm impressed with product quality and price. It's a nice compact medium-duty net. Netting material is coated and is soft and supple. A vertical raise once fish is in will be the strongest result.
Jonathan... : Fun Flippin Fishing Net
Sturdy, good grip, it floats, and it folds. The folding part bugged me a little because it doesn't "lock" into a folded position. However, I found I started to like that feature (no lock). It has a pants hook to hang it on your belt or waistband. When you need it, pull up and "flip" out and it locks into place -ready to use. Kinda neat actually. Definitely recommend it for the money.
Chris delagarza : Broke before first use
Unfortunately the net broke when trying to adjust it before even getting to put to use for the first time. I was in a crunch though and going fishing the next morning so i made some adjustments to hold it together so i would have something. But because of that i dont know if i can still return . Does seem like a good net though maybe i just got a defective one
Clay : Sturdy, light, and well designed.
I just got the new Plusinno fishing net and look forward to the years of use catching some good fish. The net floats, is very light, good colors and the head folds for easy transportation. The handle is sturdy but not as long as I wanted so we added a PVC extension and it works great. They make a longer one so I must have ordered the shorter one it’s a great product.
Gabe : Still new but here is our first impressions
Love the way they are set to hook up on backpacks, other loops, etc. and can be easy for trails. Makes for getting the fish in easier, adjusts several ways. So far have not actually used with a fish on line, as we just received them this past wk. I like the color boldness, helps us to stand out when packing in a trail. Seems well thought out and material appears durable. Plan to buy a second one and give them a good use over the next several months. Ill come back and update when we and if we can. We will try to find way back to do so come mid spring or summer.
Amazon Customer : Bought 2!
I bought 3 nets before leaving for vacation and forgot them all!! I bought this twice and ended up giving the other one as a bday gift. It floats!!! Great for the beach. Great for little boys that leave things behind while critter hunting.
KalEl28 : Was a "Good Quality Net"
**Update** Net stopped allowing twist to expand it. Instead the handle just came off. Would not buy this again now or recommend.
Great size net. I like that it can fold up to be mostly out of the way and I can extend it to make it even longer and easier to net a fish from the kayak. Rubber netting makes it easier to not get tangled with my lures. The net opening is large enough where I don't have to worry about any bass I'm trying to catch not fitting in there. Would buy again.
rmjz : Plastic junk.
Alonzo : Wow this net is Amazing!!!!!
WOW! This net is amazing! Compact, lightweight and pretty stylish for a net. I do a lot of float tubing and this is perfect for that especially knowing it floats. The clip is perfect as well if you are fishing from shore and don’t want to carry a net around. Highly recommend this net, best I’ve seen period!
John J. Gilluly : Great landing net. Light weight, yet durable.
I wanted a net with which I could bring in large Bass and reduce the risks of disengaging the hook or damaging the fish when lifting it out of the water. I mostly fly fish but use spinning tackle during the cooler months. This net is the ticket for both. Light weight yet very durable. I really like the features of the telescopic rod, the collapsible net, and the belt clip. I usually fish from the shore, so I just clip the net on my belt. Because it's so light, you hardly feel its presence. When I'm landing a fish, I can easily and quickly unhook and extend the net with a snap of the hand. I'm strictly a catch-and-release angler, and this net is a good size for both small and large fish and gentle on the fish. A very good value equal to or superior to products two to three times the price. Highly recommended.
Valentin garcia : Net-alishious. This thing is great!
This net is the best for the price. I have 3 fishing nets from Amazon. This by far is the best, it folds, and it extends. It’s perfect to take down to the shore because it’s so light. It even comes with a cool little carabiner. Like I said, for the price this is the best quality by far.
David Walton : Great Product!
Really happy with our new fishing pole net!
Pros: Lightweight, easy to fold and the cost wasn't bad based on similar items.
