Answer: it is possible
Q:
Can you unfold it reliably with one hand?
Q:
Would this be large/sturdy enough to catch chickens? They range in size from bantams to Rhode Island reds.
Answer: Not sure about adult chickens but it is a virtual chick magnet. Tried it on an 80lb anteater and I can swear it laughed at me. For chickens, just make an open loop with a wire coat hanger and catch them by the foot. I use that to both catch chickens and steal cars.
Answer: Never caught a chicken before....it is pretty strong and I think it would work.
Answer: No. This net was designed for netting fish, not chickens.
Q:
To loosen handle If I am facing the front of the net with rear handle towards me and front of the net away from me do I turn clockwise or counterclock
Answer: My handle does not turn at all.
Answer: Be sure you have one of the models that actually has a telescoping handle. Some are fixed length.
Q:
Can this be used for netting blue crabs?
Answer: Probably.
Q:
How long is the handle?
Answer: Haven't really measured it, maybe 2 or 3 feet

Product reviews of PLUSINNO Floating Fishing Net for Steelhead, Salmon, Fly, Kayak, Catfish, Bass, Trout Fishing, Rubber Coated Landing Net for Easy Catch & Release, Compact & Foldable for Easy Transportation & Storage
David Walton : Great Product!
Really happy with our new fishing pole net!
Pros: Lightweight, easy to fold and the cost wasn't bad based on similar items.
2BFair : Great net/flimsy rod
All in all the net is great, but the rod itself is awful. I wish it had an extender, its very short. The net itself is great as stated (not great for catching minnows but it does float. The foam on the end started breaking off after 2 very short uses which is why this only gets a 1 star.
Wanderlust Addict : Great net
I really like this net. I started fishing again this year and lost a couple of fish by them flipping off my line. So I felt it was time to get a net. I really like this one as it folds down to be pretty compact. It is a great size, not too big but big and strong enough to hold anything I have been catching. It also has a clip and lanyard. As an added bonus, it floats. I dont have a boat but I do go out with a friend from time to time and a floating net is a must.
jmhr : Lightweight and Stowable
Good fishing net. It's bigger than the other one I own, but folds up smaller for storage. There is low density foam all around the rim, and the handle is hollow, so it's not going to sink if you drop it. The locking mechanism seems sturdy enough; it's not going to get much better for a net with moving parts.
B. Positive : I think I will love this net. In home test 5 ★★★★★
Well, I bought this net in my off season (too hot it fish now). I will haul in limits of stocked trout in my favorite spot the end of February (that is when my state starts stocking there).
Holding it and working it in my home, I am very pleased with its weight and functions. And it will float. How great is that. Well, I have never dropped a net in the water.... but a floating net is neat. It is pretty to.
So look at all the great reviews. No reason to not buy it, except the one-month return policy when you are not even using it. Oh, well. I rarely ever return anything anyway.
Vinnieb : Super Net!
Out standing! Very durable and sturdy. Performed superior as I fished for my trout. Great value for the money! Loved the floating feature!
Les Wang : Great Net that Floats!
This net has foam around the rim so it floats in the water. It also has a folding handle with clip and a string with carabiner on the handle. The material is rubber and doesn’t tangle up with hooks which is nice. The net shape allows the fish to lay flat which prevents them from flopping around and is better for the fish if practicing catch and release.
Valentin garcia : Net-alishious. This thing is great!
This net is the best for the price. I have 3 fishing nets from Amazon. This by far is the best, it folds, and it extends. It’s perfect to take down to the shore because it’s so light. It even comes with a cool little carabiner. Like I said, for the price this is the best quality by far.
Josh : Light
I bought this one to use in the kenai for reds and it broke on the second day. But it was a very difficult net to use in the current because if it’s design. I think it would be great for 20” trout in a lake. But in a current it was like dipping an umbrella trying to net a powerful ball of muscle.
Derek : Does the job great.
Lost a monster while boating it, vowed never again. Bought this net and used it to net a 2.6lb large on first trip out.
I intentionally left it in my rod holder while driving out, handled it no problem. It floats. Folds and seems sturdy. Does the job.

Christopher : Good net, may have to reglue some parts!
Purchased this for my son so he can net minnows and frogs from the side of our fiahing pond and at our lakehouse. Seemed high quality but the handle came unglued on the first use. After a quick repair with some gorilla glue it has worked fine months later. Not sure if it was one that made it past Quality Control but everything else has stayed glued. Net works great otherwise! Son loves it!
John J. Gilluly : Great landing net. Light weight, yet durable.
I wanted a net with which I could bring in large Bass and reduce the risks of disengaging the hook or damaging the fish when lifting it out of the water. I mostly fly fish but use spinning tackle during the cooler months. This net is the ticket for both. Light weight yet very durable. I really like the features of the telescopic rod, the collapsible net, and the belt clip. I usually fish from the shore, so I just clip the net on my belt. Because it's so light, you hardly feel its presence. When I'm landing a fish, I can easily and quickly unhook and extend the net with a snap of the hand. I'm strictly a catch-and-release angler, and this net is a good size for both small and large fish and gentle on the fish. A very good value equal to or superior to products two to three times the price. Highly recommended.
Honest Joe : Last net I will ever own!
The boys and I needed a net. Purchased the Plusinno net based on it looked good for the price. Once received, WOW. This is much more than expected. This net is done right. Light, strong, collapsible and has a belt clip and a lanyard. To extend takes less than a second and only one hand needed. Fast, just flip it and it snaps in place. Did not get a fish in the net but placed a 12lb bottle of liquid dish detergent in it and it held with no issue. The design is well thought out as the handle is strong and comfortable, and the netting is VERY reinforced around the rim. I can't imaging this breaking. It feels stronger than the weight I could put in it. Cool blue and black colors. It's a keeper for sure!
Josh : Light

KalEl28 : Was a "Good Quality Net"
**Update** Net stopped allowing twist to expand it. Instead the handle just came off. Would not buy this again now or recommend.
Great size net. I like that it can fold up to be mostly out of the way and I can extend it to make it even longer and easier to net a fish from the kayak. Rubber netting makes it easier to not get tangled with my lures. The net opening is large enough where I don't have to worry about any bass I'm trying to catch not fitting in there. Would buy again.
rmjz : Plastic junk. Screw handle locks up and won't unscrew
It's really flimsy. The design is nice and it's a good size, but they made it all out of cheap plastic. The screwlock on the handle, once you tighten it up, it won't release and the handle is so cheap you can't twist it because the whole handle twists and will break. Don't waste your money until they make one out of aluminum. Sending it back via prime and will keep looking - maybe a Frabil..
Dog : Perfect for a kyak.
This ended up being a great mid sized net for use in my kyak, and yes it does float. Love the collapsible handle that extends if needed. Great net for trout, bass, crappie or bream.
Dylan : All around awesome net!
From the moment you open this net, you can tell that it is extremely well made. The netting itself is made of a thick, rubber-like material that is sure to easily widstand any large fish that you may catch with it. The net opening is extremely wide and will allow for even the biggest fish to easily be netted! The net itself is not overly long (coming in at about 3 feet) but it comes in handy for securing a big catch! I can also confirm that this net also does float as I accidently have dropped it from the side of a boat! Thankfully, it stayed floating and I was quickly able to retrieve it! The handle is also extremely well made. It seems to be metallic, has a nice clip that could be used to secure it to a backpack or to other gear, and also has a decent grip with lanyard attached to also secure the net when fishing. With the push of a button, the handle and net quickly will fold in half allowing for the net to efficiently be stored or conveniently placed in a backpack for easy carrying as I have done. I have successfully used this net to bring in large trout, catfish, bass and many other fish since I have received it! The net shows absolutely no signs of wear and tear after some extensive use and will likely stay that way for years to come! This net is an extremely well made one that I highly recommend for any fisherman!

Falln2far : Broke after one use
The rod broke after its first use. The piece holding the rod to the net kept droppijg and was ultimately lost.
Newton : Exactly what I was looking for!
I needed a fishing net that was compact so I can easily carry around attached to my back pack and this fishing net was the answer! It's foldable and feels sturdy when locked into place. The netting also feels of strong material that won't rip on you while catching fish. No regrets at all
Customer : Very nice net! But, ....
Very nice net end well made. My only grief with this holding back 5 stars is that it only floats when handle is fully extended or else the net sinks. I wasn’t expecting that. I wade along mangroves and would rather not have it extended when wading to my spots, still very nice net and well made. Would recommend
Ruffian : Portable, convenient, strong, fishing net
I have been wanting a small net to scoop up fish caught on the river or lake. This is perfect for trout or small-medium fish. Folds nicely and hooks on your belt. Very portable, but isn't cumbersome. Storage is easy as it takes up little space. But when deployed, it becomes a very sturdy way to pull small-medium fish from the water, without bending over or snapping your line. Lightweight, but strong. Quality product for a very reasonable price. That's Plusinno. Buy with confidence.
Sunny1 : Perfect for trout and small fish.
This net is lightweight sturdy and durable but unfortunately for the giant cat fish that I catch the arm is just not long enough and then that really isn't deep enough. I will be returning it and finding some thing with a longer handle but I absolutely love this if I was just going to do trout fishing

Kindle Customer : Great for catching escaped small animals
I am a wildlife rehabber and I bought this to catch squirrels. The net material is thick so the squirrels don’t bust right through it. Unfortunately, squirrels escape from their cages during recovery and won’t cooperate with me to go back in. The net is nice and wide and isn’t too deep so it has worked perfectly for my needs.
M : Perfect kayak net - secure it anywhere, rubber net, foldable design, very well thought out
I'm a kayak fisherman and was looking for a new net that was rubber, rather than rope because those blasted triple hooks would inevitably get caught. After spending way too much time trying to pry them out, I usually result to cut them out. Not so with a rubber net! I'm impressed with the number of places this thing fits in the kayak. I use a Lifetime Teton Angler and I can put this in a rod holder, tuck it under the back, tuck it under the front, or just clip it to the bungy straps with the included carabiner (an added plus) and just let it hang loose without worry of it falling in and losing it. More than 75% of the fish I catch can just be lifted straight into the kayak as I'm so close to the water, but then they tend to flail around in the kak and rub slime all in my boat and on my legs and shoes, so I'll probably be using this more than I initially thought I would. Netted my first Bass in it and was pleasantly surprised how calm it felt lying in the net. I even trusted letting go of the net because I had it secured to the kayak Not sure the folding mechanism will hold up to really heavy bass, fish after fish, but I'll let you know. For now, it's a very well thought out design, and I'm looking forward to introducing it to more fishy fish.
Richie Brown : Would definitely recommend
I ordered this product for when I go out and just so happen to catch a decent size fish I can't just flip up on the bank net works as intended only thing I would change is make the lock for the pivot out of metal instead of plastic or clearance a hair better to make sure it engages fully almost lost a fish when the net folded I from now on check it before I met up a fish otherwise great product and would definitely recommend very portable and nice and lite clip on your belt and roll
Chris delagarza : Broke before first use
Unfortunately the net broke when trying to adjust it before even getting to put to use for the first time. I was in a crunch though and going fishing the next morning so i made some adjustments to hold it together so i would have something. But because of that i dont know if i can still return . Does seem like a good net though maybe i just got a defective one
SharaNYC : Light weight and sturdy net
This is a great fishing net, been using it for a while now and never failed me. So far no issues with the net, landed some heavy fish with ease. I rinse it with freshwater after every use and it’s like new still.
Earnest Hemmingway : Good product but has a major con.
Love this net. Works great for trout. Love that's it's lightweight and telescoping. I HATE that when you close it, it doesn't lock at all. It flops open even when clipped to your belt or wherever. I'm gonna drill a hole so when its folded, the plastic piece has a groove to lock into.
Jonathan... : Fun Flippin Fishing Net
Sturdy, good grip, it floats, and it folds. The folding part bugged me a little because it doesn't "lock" into a folded position. However, I found I started to like that feature (no lock). It has a pants hook to hang it on your belt or waistband. When you need it, pull up and "flip" out and it locks into place -ready to use. Kinda neat actually. Definitely recommend it for the money.
Spendsalotof$onAmazon : Save your money it’s junk
I purchased this net on May 15th 2021, it Fell apart after six weeks and only used three times save your money don’t buy it it’s junk. Of course it’s just after warranty so it can’t be returned. Not happy at all.

NYR717 : Waste of money
Don't use this net for anything more that a 12 inch bass. It's a total waste of money if you are going for anything larger. Plus it's so short it's hard to net anything. The net also ripped after just 2 uses.
Noah rhine : Weak asf
I tried to scoop through a pile of weeds and it snapped on me
Dylan : All around awesome net!
Jon : Sturdy little fella
Great net for bass fishing! I’d recommend looking for a bigger net if you fish big Musky, Catfish, or Carp but this thing handled a ~8lb/3.5kg Bowfin just fine. It floats and is a bright blue/orange depending on the color you choose. The rubber mesh seems to be durable and is better for the fish if you are a catch and release fisherman. This product was given to me for review but I would buy another one if i knew someone was wanting one. The only thing that could be improved is a way for the net to be locked into the folded position but that might just be nitpicking. Overall well worth the money.
Tony : So far so good!
I like it so far. It's lightweight but feels sturdy. I tested it in my pool and it floats! I'm a little concern for the plastic latch at the hoop though. Seems a little weak but it's holding up so far. I guess that's what you get to have the folding option, which I wanted and needed. The rubberized netting is great! That was the main thing I was looking for. Good size hoop and good depth on the net too.
Mystic Cat 1898 : Great wading net!
Best net I’ve used for wading/fly fishing. I have retired my traditional wood handle net. I keep it clipped to my side so I can grab it and flip it open one handed. A few other anglers that I see regularly have purchased ones for themselves after seeing it.
