Answer: This pole holder will hold any length rod as long as the butt is not too thick. Depending on how you want to use this, you may want to use a stiff belt so that the rod holder doesn't twist too much with that long of rod. I use mine in the surf when I'm changing bait or unhooking a fish. I don't like to lay my setup in the sand. Hope this helps.

Answer: For me, I Wanted to carry a large folding net for salmon. It didn't work. Because the web belt is to soft and the holder would get caught in between my legs which would knock it out. I haven't tried a leather belt yet because I think it will rub on my lite weight waders to much all day fishing and don't want to wear a hole in them.

This belt is cool with some clips to hold your plyers, etc, but sadly on my first Day of use the belt buckle broken.
I had to find another buckle Home to replace it, glad I had a metal one and should be fine now.
The belt it self should be more heavy-duty to hold your needs.

Right out of the package the button on one of the attachments broke the first time I tried to unbutton it to get it on the belt.

This wading belt is amazing. The built in anchor points for all of your clip-on gear are a great idea. Where I wade, boats and jet skis sometimes blaze through there. The reflectors on the belt are great for near-dusk or after dark wading. Any boat light will make you stick out (safely) like a christmas tree. The only thing I would change relates to the rod holder. I hada wade belt similar to this years ago which had a rod holder similar to this one. The difference was that the rod holder had a slot, about 1/4" wide, cut down, half-way through the plastic. This let the spinning reel fall down into the slot ensuring that the rod will not fall, or get knocked, out of the holder into the water. Other than that recommendation for improvement, I highly recommend this belt.

A kayak fisherman and a shore fisherman. When I'm sure I love to bring two rods. Picking up and putting down the second one gets tedious. This rod holder is awesome. The belt is thick and sturdy the holder is great and makes me much more efficient when shore fishing. when going through brush you need to pull your rod out and carry it but once settled you can pop it back in.

The description on the rod holder says the inside diameter is 1 1/2" but it tapers down to the bottom at 1 1/4". My rod would not go through the holder. I wish the seller would provide that at the description. I'm in the process of returning the item for a refund.
