I like that the pliers are small enough to fit in any pocket also trim braid without any issues. Knifes sharp and the sharpener has a groove so sharpening your hooks on the edge is super easy. Comes in handy worth tossing in my backpack while I'm beating the banks.

The Runcl fishing badger delivers again!! This knife set has all you need for getting the lunkers from the hook to the pan. The pliers are long and thin tipped to reach into the mouth of the fish to remove the hook. The knife blade is strong yet flexible enough to handle most any species of fish. When the blade starts to show signs of getting dull, they even provided a knife sharper to keep the edge at its best. Runcl even added a hook sharpener to the knife sharpener, just because. ???? the knife handle is cleverly designed as well. It’s so comfortable to hold with a sure grip coating. It even has a ventilation in the handle to clean the stuff out that might fill it in. The sheath is the same way. The shears are thin and strong and sharp as well. Then, they even threw it all into a handy little tackle box, just to sweeten up the deal. They really thought of everything. Well worth the money!! I highly recommend this kit.

I got this kit because it looked like it would do what I wanted. The knife is very sharp and the fact that is made of stainless steel means it will hold up well in the fishing environment. The scissors work well . The only thing I wish is that they would come apart easily for cleaning. I do like the fact that the split ring pliers/cutters have knurled jaws. It seems to help hold thing in place. After using it one thing that would have been a nice inclusion would be a scaler. I will just add one myself. The 3600 size box is good as all my tackle is set up with these boxes. Overall a good buy.

If I recall correctly, this is the only product listing on amazon that includes a fillet knife, scissors, a crimp+split ring plier, a knife sharpener that also has a hook sharpener on it. What else do you need? Oh, and the box it came with comes with plastic dividers which can turn it into a tackle box. This one kit saves you from having to buy all the other things utility tools you need for fishing. The quality of the tools themselves are....I would say decent. After all, you are only paying $28. But they are perfectly serviceable and well worth every penny.

Fillet knife is super sharp and flexible. Handle has good grip too to make the fillet job easier. The scissors are pretty good at cutting out spine and fins. Been using it for about a month and it's still sharp. It also comes with honing device to keep your knife sharp.

I was looking forward to using this knife combo set and was totally let down. Let’s start off with (1) - fishing pliers: these pliers are only used for removing hooks out of panfish only, any larger fish these pliers would break instantly and if you have large/x-large hands once you grip the pliers they disappear because they’re very small. (2) - Scissors: Grip wise (Ok), Cutting - very rough and made for larger size material, not so much fishing line. (3) Knife sharpener - Ok, standard. (4) Keyring - “ What’s the purpose in a fillet knife combo set” ????. Last but not lease the “FILLET KNIFE” - standard sharpness for your average steak knife. The average fillet knife should be “VERY FLEXIBLE” for cutting fish precisely and consistency. PLEASE REFER TO PHOTO ABOUT THE KNIFE CASE!!!!!

This kit over all is a nice set for the money. The scissors have a good shape for clipping gills to bleed out fish that you plan to keep. They also cut braid. The filet knife is very sharp and has a nice comfortable handle. I cleaned 15 fish so far and the blade is still just as sharp as when I started. The knife sharpener is nice to have also for when I need to touch up the knife edge. The pliers are good for removing hooks deep in the mouth and for preparing gear. Very happy with this kit so far

Great value for the price. The filet knife is awesome. And the included sharpener keeps it up to snuff. It was used to clean multiple salmon this past week, and became the go-to knife, even over some more expensive “Bubba” knives. The game shears worked for the the little bit I used them. The split ring pliers didn’t work well for me. They seem to be a bit sloppy and as such didn’t work well for the split rings I was working with. Other than that it is a great kit. And the knife alone is well worth the cost.

I love this fillet knife set. It's easy to use and even I can use it. Not only can you fillet fish but you can also fillet other meats. The pliers are great for getting the hook out of the fish's mouth. It's not too expensive and we'll worth the money.

I've been using cheap pliers and nail cutters when fishing but decided it was time to upgrade. I found this kit at a really good price. It included a knife, scissors, braid cutters, knife sharpener, and some type of clip. The Braid cutters worked pretty good, the scissors were great, and the knife was pretty sharp. I don't know how long they will last but again for the price its a really good starting kit that I'm sure I'll get my moneys worth and then some.

Wow! What a bang for your buck! Very sharp knife! So far keeping it's sharpness. The line cutter is very helpful and sharp. One snip for braided line, amazing! The scissors i haven't had the pleasure to use it yet but it is very sharp and the curve is just sweet looking! I used the knife sharpener on an old fillet knife and it sharpened it right up! Comes with an interesting "R" hook which is like a keychain, pretty cool! I keep all the stuff in the box or came in because why not?! The box came with all the pieces in it to make it a tackle box, Runcl had thought this through!

The tools are useful and even comes in a tackle box. I wish the sheath was a little better, does its job in keeping the blade safe. On that note, I’ve seen sharper edges on other knives, but I have a nice sharpener that I used to give this a razor sharp blade. Overall, great value for the money.

Simply put, this is a staple for any fisherman. I love the quality and craftsmanship. The filet knife is sharp, comes with a sharpener, the plier has helped me unhook multiple pikes and walleyes that are tricky to unhook, strip wires, cut braid and much more. I havent had a chance to use the R-shaped loop yet but i will find a use for it. And you can never have enough tackle box. This package delivers great value for money and you cannot beat the quality at this price point. Get this, you wont regret.

On July 25th I ordered the RUNCL Fishing tool and Filet knife box. It arrived on July 27th in perfect condition. The Fillet knife was razor sharp (it could easily shave my arm hair), the Split ring/Braid cutter pliers work exceptionally well, the scissors were perfect for cutting the rib bones and fins off the fish we filleted, The sharpener worked well for all sizes of hooks I use, and the small carabineer is really cool. The tackle box that it comes in, also comes with all the dividers and everything.
My son and I caught a mess of Crappie and it was a breeze to clean and fillet them, the fillets came out perfect and clean. The fish was delicious....

RUNCL did it again with this amazing set, so far everything I have purchased from them has been a True winner. RUNCL is a brand you can trust.

Phillip Santillan : Great gift for beginner anglers

For what you pay you get some really great stuff. In order of what I like the best, the 3600 sized tackle box comes with all of the custom dividers is my fav. Second would be the sharpener. This will go right in my tackle box because it will work for my filet knife AND as a hook sharpener. The pliers are ok. I am in need of a split ring plier so this was needed but I wish it was a little longer. In fact if this was longer and the scissors were shorter it would be better. Speaking of the scissors…it only ok which is why I’d say these are at the bottom of the list of what I like in the kit. The knife is sharp but the grind looks really weird. I own several kind of filet knives and this fits more on the “budget-level” knives.

All in all this could be a great beginner fishing set or gift set for your favorite angler.
