For years I’ve been waiting to purchase a new scale and I’m glad I did.

Before I took it fishing, I tried it with a few of my daughter’s exercise weights. It was pretty darn accurate. I’m glad I did this since my first outing with it I didn’t catch any fish. I did catch a few rock crab and the scale has a handy tape measure tucked in the side.
The fish lip gripper seems to be very sturdy and well built.

I would buy this again but I don’t think I’ll have to for many years to come.

This review is for the RUNCL Waterproof Fishing Scale with Lip Gripper. I got this as I felt as if my fish weight estimating skills were way off. As you can see by the picture, I need to temper how high I’m estimating and this is proof ha. The scale is easy to use and can be used for multiple purposes. I think that I would just put the hook in the fishes mouth versus the complicated setup I did, but if you have a toothed fish, this is definitely the way you want to approach it with the fish gripper. I love that there is a measuring tape at the bottom. The scale also comes with a tiny screwdriver which is convenient to add the batteries vs trying to search for one.

I just got the scale so I can only speak on having it for a day lol. I used it today on a couple of carp and it seemed to work nicely. I like that it locks the weight after a second. But I have seen on someone else's that theirs wouldn't lock the weight in anymore. Time will tell. Seems good though.

Amazing value for the quality! I was at Academy Sports and saw that the price of a just fish gripper alone was equivalent to the price of both Runcl items. The gripper is very sturdy and has a good locking mechanism. It also comes with a nice string attached so you can tie it onto a fishing backpack or even your belt loop. The scale is very nice as well. My favorite part about it is that it comes with built-in measuring tape.
