I like the fact that this scale is waterproof because I have had stuff get wet and when you go to use it you find out that it is broken due to water damage.
Looking at the buttons on this scale and looking at the manual you have some neat options you can use if you go fishing in a tournament by keeping a running total of your fish weights.

I found one thing this scale was very helpful with was we were packing up to fly back home after a fishing trip and we gave our luggage a weight check and we found that we needed to move some stuff from one bag to another to keep the weight under the limit for the airlines, that saved us a overweight fee that was a cost we didn't need.

I love the scale it is easy to use and it looks like it will hold up for many years to come.

LUVLEE17 : Great waterproof scale kit

One of the last things I needed for my fishing gear was a good waterproof scale. The Runcl digital scale was exactly what I was looking for. I tried the tare function and was able to get an accurate reading when I tested it straight on the hook. I don't yet have much use for the memory storage but it is functional. I love the large display and shinny buttons. The addition of the fish hook just takes the kit over the top, exactly what I need for handling fish. Great kit will recommend.

On August 16th I placed an order for the RUNCL waterproof digital fish scale and lip gripper. It came in on August 8th in perfect condition. The kit included the scales, the lip grip, a suitcase strap (weighing suitcases for travel), the alkaline batteries, a screwdriver for opening the waterproof battery compartment and a large split ring for attaching the lip grip to the scales.
I installed the included batteries, grabbed a small bucket and tare'd the scales with the bucket on. I put 1 gallon of water in and it weighed in at 8.33lbs. a gallon of fresh water should weigh 8.34lbs so I think it is pretty darn close. I took it out fishing and caught several Catfish, a few Sandbass, and some large Bluegill.
All were weighed with the RUNCL scale and a Berkley fishing scale. The Berkley was hard to make it repeat the same weight on a given fish, by that I mean I weighed each fish 3 times with each scale. The RUNCL weighed the fish the same each time, the Berkley weighed each fish several oz different each time I weighed them. The lip grip is really well made and stays connected. I out on a 5lb weight from a weight set and it weighed 5lbs 3oz on the RUNCL scales and 4lbs 11oz on the Berkley scales. The RUNCL is definitely better scale. And all the accessories it includes makes it a deal and a half.
I would pay the amount for the set, just for the scales.

This review is for the RUNCL Waterproof Fishing Scale with Lip Gripper. I got this as I felt as if my fish weight estimating skills were way off. As you can see by the picture, I need to temper how high I’m estimating and this is proof ha. The scale is easy to use and can be used for multiple purposes. I think that I would just put the hook in the fishes mouth versus the complicated setup I did, but if you have a toothed fish, this is definitely the way you want to approach it with the fish gripper. I love that there is a measuring tape at the bottom. The scale also comes with a tiny screwdriver which is convenient to add the batteries vs trying to search for one.

What a cool set! These pliers have a sure and secure grip to hoist the lunkers our of the water. There's a wrist strap to ensure that you don't drop that big fish when you realize its bigger than you expected. The wrist strap then goes to the scale to record your weight and take pictures before releasing it. The scale is waterproof. It even has a built in tape measure to size 'em up while they're hanging from the scale. As usual with this Runcl stuff, you will also find other hidden features that are not even in the ad. I am never disappointed with Runcl products. Talk about getting bang for the buck!!!

First, this kit is solid. The weight and feel of each item is solid.

The screen is very bright, and it’s easy to use. My favorite part is the tare recording. I can take multiple weights and have the calculations done by the scale.

The fish gripper has a noticeable locking click, and a great “gripping” mechanism. I’ve been grabbing stuff and weighing it all afternoon.
