This is a well made product just no thought went into it. The net is too big for wade fishing and the average trout, it's size makes it a horrible contrivance astream as it grabs everything and is in the way all the time. If you do a lot of wading find a more traditional sized trout net. I have another Fishpond net for my boat that has this exact hoop size and a longer handle it is perfect the hand net is a shorter version of it thus useless for wading.

The net is too big for wade fishing and the average trout, it's size makes it a horrible contrivance astream as it grabs everything and is in the way all the time. If you do a lot of wading find a more traditional sized trout net. I have another Fishpond net for my boat that has this exact hoop size and a longer handle it is perfect the hand net is a shorter version of it thus useless for wading.

Love the net in general, but the rubber netting is just a bit too thin/tearable. Toughen that rally important aspect up and it is easily a 5 star.

It's a big one!! Let's hope I can catch a fish that'll fill this sucker. The quality of contruction is "OK". I'm concerned about the lashing of the net, I hope the threads don't wear out. But, I trust they've got that figured out.
For a "graphite" racket, I was expecting a lot better finish for this expense. These have a chinese feel to them in terms of lacquer/clearcoating.

Wide and deep net. Light and durable. I carry it on an Orvis shoulder bag with a magnetic lanyard. The width that some folks complain about isn’t a problem carrying this way since it’s still far more narrow than my shoulders. So nothing snags being carried this way. Wooden nets can be really pretty. But I like this one for the weight, durability, and zero maintenance.
