Has anybody checked this scale against objects of known weight to see if it is accurate?

Answer: Yes I have, it was the 1st thing I did when I received it. I am not sure I would want to depend on it's accuracy to win a bass tournament, but it is very close to being right on. It's a nice scale.

Does it weigh in pounds and ounces, like 3lb 8 oz or pounds only like 3.5 lbs, or both

Answer: It weighs in lbs like 3.5lbs or it weighs in only oz like 52.7 oz. Hope that helps.

Answer: I know it displays it like 3.54 but I have not checked it you can choose another display option.

How can it be waterproof with a battery slot that clearly is not water tight?

Answer: I dont think it's waterproof but????????‍♂️ maybe water resistant

How tall is the display?

Answer: Hi. Bought this for my boy friend, used for first time in Hammond NY at Black Lake. Display if I recall was about 1” high and 3 “ long. It worked fine. Bragging rights, caught a 4.20 lb large mouth. Next day caught three nice ones. Guys told me to swim back to cabin if I caught any more. Only my 2nd time in my life I fished.

There is nothing more frustrating than catching a monter fish and your scale is now working from dead batteries. Does this scale eat batteries?

Answer: not sure about that but I regret buying it, I don't use it, seems not to work in the 2-5 lb range.

First thing I did after receiving unit was compare measurement to a very accurate scale. At 2 lbs and 10 lbs the scale was within an ounce of my "good" scale. Satisfied, although not statistically verified. Time will tell how durable the scale is and how long the AAA's last. Worth the $$$.

I've tried a few different scales but this is hands down my favorite. It combines all of the best features from others that I've used.

As funny as it sounds, I love that it has a handle. I can't believe how many other scales (even name brands like Rapala) have scales without a handle. It makes holding the scale with a big fish a whole lot easier.

Also love that you can lock the weight in and take the fish off but still show off the weight.

I'd highly recommend this scale to anyone who likes to fish, weekend warrior or tournament angler.

The Kraken Bass Fishing Scale is great! It is small enough to fit in my tackle box but big enough to weigh the beast that I catch once in a while.
I was initially sceptical about purchasing it because it was only $20 but decided to try it out. It performed better than I could have imagined!
It has a feature that sets the weight after it has been on the scale for a few seconds so you don't have to worry about your fish keeping still the whole time to get an accurate read. The other cool thing is the tape measure.
When I bought it i did not realize it had a tape measure. As soon as it came in the mail and I got it and saw I could measure my fish as well as weigh it I was sold.
The Kraken Bass Fishing Scale is the best thing on the market for mobile fish scales. If you are a fisherman that wants people to believe you when you say how big your fish are then this is the scale for you.

Was looking for a scale that displayed lbs - ozs ie. 1 lb 8 oz Thought this scale did that but turns out it has a lbs option (decimal 1.5 lbs) or an ozs option (24 oz). Works for me, I'm good at math.
