Has anybody checked this scale against objects of known weight to see if it is accurate?

Answer: Yes I have, it was the 1st thing I did when I received it. I am not sure I would want to depend on it's accuracy to win a bass tournament, but it is very close to being right on. It's a nice scale.

Does it weigh in pounds and ounces, like 3lb 8 oz or pounds only like 3.5 lbs, or both

Answer: It weighs in lbs like 3.5lbs or it weighs in only oz like 52.7 oz. Hope that helps.

Answer: I know it displays it like 3.54 but I have not checked it you can choose another display option.

How can it be waterproof with a battery slot that clearly is not water tight?

Answer: I dont think it's waterproof but????????‍♂️ maybe water resistant

How tall is the display?

Answer: Hi. Bought this for my boy friend, used for first time in Hammond NY at Black Lake. Display if I recall was about 1” high and 3 “ long. It worked fine. Bragging rights, caught a 4.20 lb large mouth. Next day caught three nice ones. Guys told me to swim back to cabin if I caught any more. Only my 2nd time in my life I fished.

There is nothing more frustrating than catching a monter fish and your scale is now working from dead batteries. Does this scale eat batteries?

Answer: not sure about that but I regret buying it, I don't use it, seems not to work in the 2-5 lb range.

Where is the scale made? Is it waterproof? A customer said it is but curious what the seller says.

I'm not one of those people who count every ounce on a thru hike, however, at one point I was just curious as to what my pack weight was, and this is a great digital scale to measure this.. it also has a tape measure built into the top which is a nice little feature. all and all this was perfect for my needs!

Our Bass Club purchased 5 of these scales so that we can weigh on the water and then release the fish only bringing one big one to the scales. When I ordered they were guaranteed to be to me by 9:00pm on the day prior to our next tournament. The tournament was about 200 miles away and I waited for them to come. They never arrived. Needless to say, I got little sleep that night having to drive after waiting until 9:30 pm. They showed up the next day.
3 of the 5 scales weigh identical with the other 2 a little off. I think that is pretty good for a scale in this price range. The read out is bright and easy to read even in bright sunlight. I recommend this scale for the average fisherman, I would not use it to chase line class records and require it being certified. Our club will be buying more.

First thing I did after receiving unit was compare measurement to a very accurate scale. At 2 lbs and 10 lbs the scale was within an ounce of my "good" scale. Satisfied, although not statistically verified. Time will tell how durable the scale is and how long the AAA's last. Worth the $$$.

I follow Kraken Bass on multiple social media sites and they never disappoint. I have caught more bass than I can even count since using their advice. So, when I saw they had their own line of fishing scales I had to get one. Once again I am blown away by how helpful Kraken Bass has been. This scale is top of the line. It has the Kraken Bass Symbol on the front and a firm handle so you won't drop the monster bass you are weighing.
It comes with a built in tape measure that extends over 3 feet so you can easily weigh and measure your catch.
The whole scale is digital and accurate. It is way easy to use and I am thrilled with the compact size that is easy to carry around or store in the boat. I would recommend this product to anyone.
