what are the overall dimensions?

Answer: I do not recall exact width but it is wide. I cut mine lengthwise and only used the inches side.

Will this peel off after alot of contact with saltwater?

Answer: Mine lasted 3 years, with no issue.... except a little fading of color.

Is there 1-tape per package? In the reviews - someone stated there wer 3-per pack.

Answer: I have mine attached to an aluminum boat it's holding up nicely. I did make sure to clean the area good before I stuck it on there

Can this be wrapped around a kayak paddel?

Answer: The adhesive doesn't hold very well, so I doubt that you can make it stick longwise on a paddle. It blew off the inside of the boat in transit the first time I took it to the lake with the ruler attached. I liked the design of the ruler, but never got a chance to use it.

Answer: It stuck well to the hard plastic of the boat, however not sure how well it would stick to carpet but if you added a little glue to the back of it, I am sure it would stick fine. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

Awesome fish ruler! I couldn't find a spot on my boat to put it on without making it look goofy, so I cut a piece of plexi glass the same size of the ruler and presto change O, I have a fish ruler that is handy and can be passed to other folks fishing on the other end of the boat. Make sure you tape the ends or they will peel up.

Did fade a little on the colors. The black and white parts are fine which is what I care about so it's fine. It stuck better than I though it would. When this one wears out I will probably buy the same thing. Easy to read.

Tried using on top of cooler but barely stuck. Measurements were off progressively from 1/8” at 18” to 1/4” at 24” Removed easily from top as did not want to risk someone keeping a borderline fish aboard.

It works great for the inside of a boat. You don't have to mess with a tape measure or some other type of measuring tool. It was the least inexpensive for that type of product.

Put this on the bumper of my FJ Cruiser that I use late ice fishing to measure up and take pics. Looks cool and there is not an oil change guy that doesn't say "Good idea!" Only 6 mos. old and fading - that is a bummer, not the black ink though, the red in the Berkley logo.

Great ruler for boat fishing! Sticks securely to my kayak. It is a sticker & has a little bit of stretch to it. When putting on my kayak, I started at one end & slowly laid it out while also comparing it to a tape measure. At times i had to pull at this ruler to get the measurements to line up while other times no tension. Do this before you stick it down & realize the measurements are off!

I ordered this to stick on the side of my kayak. Ripped off my boat while on the roof rack on the way to the river. Admittedly I should have tried to prep the surface of my kayak to accept a sticker, but the adhesive was not very sticky to begin with. Maybe if you sand, clean the surface with alchohol, and clear coat afterwords it would have stayed on. Do not recommend unless you're sticking it to a non flexible surface that isn't going to come in contact with wind, elements, or movement of user. Now I understand why proficient fishermen use the big dumb ruler trays to measure their fish. Its also huge. Hard to find a spot to put it where I could measure a fish without risking dropping the fish in the water.

The tape doesn't stick. I tried to put it on a kayak, even after some prep work with alcohol wipes, it falls off by itself overnight. I stuck it on a rotomolded cooler and it still wouldn't stick. The edges where the tape is folded in shipment just sticks up.

It's a decent tape, and it sticks fairly well. The primary issue with the particular one that I received is that it was off by a half inch (short), and I even cut it off at 27". That could be really problematic for someone when your legal fish is actually 1/2" short, and the conservation agent ruins your fishing trip.

I remedied this by really stretching the crap out of it while installing, and after applying and peeling a few times, it matched the two quality tape measures that I checked it against. I thought about heating it to help to stretch it, but I figured I'd only end up with uneven heating and uneven stretching. I ended up with some bubbles and a little bit of carpet fuzz trapped behind it, so I'm not entirely satisfied. It was cheap, but then it's also marked up with advertising like Ricky Bobby's race car... so I think these are probably the same freebies they hand out at boat shows.

Just check yours for accuracy, an inaccurate ruler is pointless.

Product as advertised. I cut mine to 26" and cut down the middle to use only inch side of measurements. Affixed to side of my fishing kayak to quickly measure caught fish. With plenty of kayak use, ruler still adhering as when first applied. Highly recommend.

Don’t worry if you stretch the stick on tape the folding lines will not show they will go away.

Clean the area with acetone where you plan to glue it on and it should be fine.

I will buy another one for my bigger boat, very reasonable priced.

Ruler is accurate, but due to the folds it will be difficult to stick on a surface with precision. I bought a similiar item years ago and it was rolled up instead of folded.

Adheres well to the rear bench-seat of my boat, which is made of a poly vinyl like material. To date, it has not peeled off as I feared it would in the blazing hot Arizona summer sun; since no one actually sits there, I cannot comment on its durability in that location . The ruler is extremely convenient for measuring bass by simply placing them on the bench seat instead of taking out a tape measure or keeping a bulky ruler handy. The only caution is for catch-and-release anglers: be sure to wet down the ruler and seat to which it is attached before placing the bass on it to prevent damage to the fish's body through abrasion or heat.
