I’ve used this net kayak fishing for over a year now and I have zero complaints. It’s very sturdy and strong. The heavy duty rubber netting is very nice! I would highly recommend this.

I use this when fishing on my Seastream Angler 120 kayak. While cruising it easily tucks in behind my seat. While fishing, it sits on the deck in front of my pedal drive unit and is within easy reach. While some complain about the short handle, it makes it much easier to maneuver and control.
Let's face it - landing a bigger fish on a kayak can be a pain no matter what simply because of how you have to handle the rod once you get the fish close. But the size of this net (not too big, not too small) makes it a bit easier to land the fish on a kayak. If you're on a boat, you'll definitely want one with a longer handle.

Charles Echols : hooks still get caught
I bought one and used it a couple of times when the fishing was poor. I liked the net well enough to order one for my nephew. Yesterday, I got into a school of trout, but had to take several minutes to free the hooks from the netting. It took less time to free the hooks than with uncoated, nylon braided nets, but I think I would have had a couple more trout on the stringer had the netting been made of 100% rubber.

Great net for the coastal wade fisherman. Perfect size for hauling in the big reds and trout. Love that it floats and with the extendable cord, it's right there when you need it. Quality construction and I don't have to worry about the saltwater corrosion.

This is a good quality net, with an over-sized opening and a flat bottom. The rubberized mesh seems to not be as likely to get fish hung up in it as a more traditional mesh seems to enable. I like the floating ability (my son's tore off of his ForEverLast wading belt last weekend and we finally found it down the beach an hour or so later). The one gripe I have is that the elastic cord that runs through the handle does not stretch far enough to get the net at arm's length, as you need it to do when landing a fish. I had to improvise with a piece of nylon cord that I attached to the end of the elastic cord, that now allows me to extend fully when landing fish.

Looks to be a pretty good quality item. I think the net will be the first thing to fail as the material is more plastic than fabric. I feel that overtime in the heat it will dry rot. We shall see.

The image DID NOT match what I received. The description says “retractable cord,” but it’s more of an elastic cord that does not retract. Seller needs to REVISE there product image and description. Net itself was fine.

Was only able to use twice before the head broke off from the handle. Definitely will not be recommend this net.

The net is a great product, but if you in the water wade fishing for a year or so...like i have, the foam on the handle peeIs if there are nicks. Also, the Net string is short, so I modded it by adding 30inches of 550 cord with a clip, otherwise the net will bang against you in the water. Not sure if there is a fix or possibility to replace the foam on the handle? Otherwise a good product.

lanyard does not retract. its just bungee cord and arrived fully extended. had to shove it back in. for the price, this is pretty bad but also not worth the hassle of a replacement.

Perfect for kayak fishing. I have used his to land both large and small mouth bass. I lay it on the front of my kayak and it is readily available when needed. I don’t have to worry about it falling in the water because it floats. It’s perfect length for fishing from a kayak.

It won't be coming with a retractable cord. I'm going to have to remove the static cord that came with it and rig some sort of retractor to it. Annoyed. Good net otherwise. Handle is a little short, but the circle of the net is pretty darn big.

Love these nets, same as my old orange one, but now I don't get m gear mixed up with the other guys on the boat. One thing that I did notice, same as the orange one, the bungee cord that tethers the net to your wading belt is already showing signs of wear, after maybe three or four full days of wade fishing and more importantly catching :). I think that I will look to smooth off the end cap where the bungee comes through, that might be the source of the wearing. this is the reason for the 4 star review and not 5. if the bungee was not showing signs of wear after a few trips it would have been a 5 star review
