Answer: The metal wire down the middle of the spinners can be bent. As any of this type lure are and it isn't a problem. But the hooks themselves appear to be standard trebles and bending shouldn't be an issue.
Answer: That's good to know. I was a little suspicious when I noticed that the hooks were not attached to the shaft wires with split-rings for easy replacement. Of course a damaged hook can always be cut through its eye with wire snips or a Dremel tool, and then replaced with a split-ring and a new treble hook.

Answer: You definitely will need a floater. I used it with and without floater n kept having issues without it . Other than that , great spinners.

Answer: it really depends on where you care fishing, and what species of fish, (if you know) but I would go with some 12 pound, Berkley trilene.

Considering the big name brands are three times the price of these, I decided to try this set. They work great! I used them last weekend and caught a few fish. My only complaint is that the "rooster tails" easily came off the spinner, but I still caught fish without it. The case is nice because it has a peg for each spinner, so they don't rattle around too much when you're carrying them. Anyway I would recommend these.

Temperature about 65 degrees, water temperature about 55 degrees a couple of long casts and nothing put a little weight on the line to present the lure a little deeper 5th or 6th cast and a real nice hit! Landed a 1pound 8 ounce trout. These are just what i was looking for. I added the extra weight to get the lure a little deeper and didn't change the retrieval speed because i didn't want to lose the lure in the submerged tree or bushes. Great purchase getting the same set for my grandson.

They are not the best looking and not the most sturdy but until colors wear off or stickers come off, they do their job.

I just used these this past weekend at Lake Arrowhead in california and caught a nice 21inch trout with it. During the 3 days I went fishing there in the afternoons, I only caught a fish the first day. In the spinners defense, there were about 12 people fishing with every type of lure imaginable , and only one other individual caught a fish with a worm in those 3 days.

The spinning action is ok but it definitely spins better the faster you reel which isn't always ideal. I got the best results using pro gel smeared on it and varying my reel speed between slow and fast. I caught a few trout on one of these in an hour.
Note that the colors you get will vary. You may not get the ones you see pictured.
