I bought this for a duck hunter who also fishes. I have bought 5 more for friends and family, they all think it is the greatest present.

these things actually work, and they can catch fish. well, bass, although i did catch one bluegill on it. the action is nice, it sputters just enough to notice and floats so you don't have to start your retrieve immediately and you can pause in the middle and twitch it if the fish has bad aim.
that's the good, now the bad. i think the hooks it comes with are a bit on the small side, i think bigger hooks would increase the hook up rate and make it harder for them to throw. not sure what larger hooks would do the action though. don't throw it in any kind of leaves or surface grass or algae. if something like a stray strand of grass on the front hook or a glop of algae blocks the prop's ability to spin freely it will turn the lure into a very very efficient line twisting machine. you may as well cut twisted part off and and re-tie which sucks. and lastly, the blades of prop are separate and fold up when a fish hits (per description im not sure if that works or matters) but they are held on by screws. those screws seem quite prone to backing out during use. keep an eye on them.
they make a larger size which may be better if you are fishing a bait caster, this size will work if you have a bait caster and rod you can cast light weights with but would probably work better on a spinning setup.
bottom line, even with all those issues, if you like top water action, this bait has a nice one, its pretty cheap since you get three per pack, and I did put fish in the boat plus, lets face it, the blow up on the bait is the fun part of top water so even the ones I missed or that threw the hook (about half of them) were fun and exciting. when i loose or destroy these, I will probably be willing to purchase more if they are still around.

Looks great, propellers crate a lot of action but dinky in design! Entire lure spins the mock fish included looking like a torpedo riding the surface and one hit bends the propeller shaft, granted this will attract some hits but nothing can get hooked because of these flaws

I thought I was getting the good product like all the other TRUSCEND lures, well I was wrong, the screws that hold the rotating tail on them are coming out and need constant screwing in to fix some screws are stripped out so next fix would be glue or something to keep the rotator tail on. Not happy with this product.

These swimbaits are one of the best lures I have ever purchased. I have had them for little over a month and laned so many bass. I also had a pike on the line with one that had to be at least 8-10lbs but it came loose after the beast jumped out of the water. I hope to catch something like that soon as I use them more but would highly recommend to add these to your tackle box.

I used the replacement lure yesterday and ran thru a Shimano Waxwing, Kastmaster, Bobber (set to sink). I found the Truscend does run deep (I casting on the flats 3.5'). Make sure you adjust your rate of retrieve and rod tip angle (up) to prevent getting snagged on bottom.
Used it a couple of times and action was very lifelike (looked like local bait fish for trevally), craftsmanship very good....however eyeball fell out. I asked for replacement and it is on it's way!

I have yet to catch a fish using these lures but I've only used them a couple of times. I had a big Large Mouth on but it popped off. The lures feel and look like real fish in the water so I expect that they will be successful. Need more time in the water and I will update after next summer.

This product worked like a treat. I was skeptical because of the reviews said that it fell apart and had no durability. I put this product through the ringer, it got caught up in weeks and branches but it held firm. I loved the way it glided across the water. I ended up catching a nice size bass with it. I would recommend.

They certainly look the part. Pretty paint and realistic eyes.. but the action is nearly terrible.. this is a top water lure? On average its underwater for the first 20seconds of the retrieve. I was excited for the dual bladed prop but the lure spends greater percent of time on its side or twirling in circles.
I would not recommend this product to my friends who actively seek fish. If you have kids that think the plopping sound is funny, sure get em these.
