Answer: Simple answer no does not impede the action of the the shrimp bait. However they should be used behind a Dodger I use a small one about 4 to 5in also you can gang them up three or four in a row with about 4 in of line in between them use a 30 lb test line I use a similar rigs on Lake Ontario for large King salmon when used properly it's a Killer Bait I'm now using them on Lake Champlain

Nice bait, haven’t used it yet however only 2 baits fully glow in the dark from the body and those are the pink ones. For the price I wish all of the bait colors fully glowed in the dark.

I removed the steel leader and tied two together tandum style with 20# florocarbon line and caught lots of fish. Speckled Trout,Flounder and smaller Red Drum (2-6#)
