Product reviews of Penn 750SS Skirted Spool Fishing Reel 750 SS
E. Keenan : A real find!
This was one of the very first Penn 750SS's made. Built like a Battleship. With a chrome handle to boot. And of course..."Made in the USA". To find one New in the Box was luck. Expect to get many years out of it. They just don't make em' as good anymore. (And no longer in the US) I put it on a 10.5 ft St.Croix Triumph Surf Rod, and already took in a 37 inch striper off Montauk. Nice and smooth.
Thomas Duane : A 40 year friendship
The rod and reel have been together over 40 years. I've had a few repairs to the rod done. Never had anything repaired or replaced on the reel except line. I can't begin to estimate the number of blue fish landed. A good share of fluke and bonita too. In fact, I just bought another one. You know, I never realized I had a weak drag. I'll keep it in mind next time I'm reeling in a big blue. BTW, always used Ande 20lb for blues.
