I just brought my Penn 750SS out of the attic. I bought it in 1990 for $84.99 and never got a chance to use it. Now that life has slowed down, I plan to put it on a custom noodle rod I had made for N.Y. Salmon fishing back in the 80's. Hope to catch some Stripers soon with it. I'm sure it will hold up to the riggers of constant fishing. After all it's a U.S.A. made Penn.

Thomas Duane : A 40 year friendship

The rod and reel have been together over 40 years. I've had a few repairs to the rod done. Never had anything repaired or replaced on the reel except line. I can't begin to estimate the number of blue fish landed. A good share of fluke and bonita too. In fact, I just bought another one. You know, I never realized I had a weak drag. I'll keep it in mind next time I'm reeling in a big blue. BTW, always used Ande 20lb for blues.
