Tired of fighting your reel as much as the fish? Turn to the Revo SX low-profile baitcast reel, which has started a Revolution among serious anglers across the country. Anglers will tell you that the Revo offers more advantages than any other reel in its class. The Revo is more comfortable in the hand, smoother, holds more line, and holds up admirably in both fresh and saltwater. Plus, most of the Revo family includes a 24-pound drag system that's two to three times more powerful than other reels, giving you superior fish-fighting power with every cast. All Revo reels are made of an X-Craftic aluminum alloy that's more durable and lighter than regular aluminum and resists corrosion. The reel's 11 high-performance bearings, meanwhile, provide the smooth casting and superior distance that modern fishing requires.
Anglers have their choice of two speeds--a 6.4:1 version and a 7.1:1 model--available in both right- and left-handed orientations. The high-speed 7.1:1 SX reels will help anglers with their pitching and flipping presentations as well as burning baits over grass. Other features include Linear Magnetic brakes, Duragear brass gears, and synchronized level wind. Offering a line capacity of 12/140, the Revo reel carries a lifetime warranty.

Product reviews of Abu Garcia Revo Fishing Reel (SX, Line Weight- 12/140)
MR B : Will buy another to replace my SHIMANO CURADOs
I own 6 curado's, now I a in a replacement program, this is a great reel, cast smooth and less backlash than the curdao's.
Kevin A. Wolthusen : GREAT BAITCASTER
i got this reel in the winter and have not had a chance to fish it yet but i was able to practice at the garage i work at and without a doubt this is one of the nicest casting baitcasters i have owned it is smooth and with the right amount of tweaking to the drag system it will cast a mile, i'm not sure why anyone would shell out the money for a 2011 model when the 2009 model as far as i can tell is just a different color perfect reel as far as i am concerned.
N. saelee : Solid Reel
To begin, my experience prior with casting reels was all on a older Curado Bantam. I lost it in a lake when I was on a kayak and didn't notice that it and my three week old rod had fallen into the water as I paddled out. I purchased this reel after some research and because I had a Abu Garcia spinning reel that I liked. Skip forward. I got the reel and like my Curado I oiled the bearings because it looked a little dry. That was my first mistake. The Revo uses a different system for the cast control which required it to not be oiled much. After some research on forums I took out the pieces and cleaned off excess oil and it worked again. Skip forward. Casting on this reel is super nice. To be fair my Curado was five to six years old and the technology may have been a bit dated. That said the Revo casted nice and smooth and the braking system worked beautifully. There was no overrun and no birds nest even in 10 mph winds. The Revo also is silky smooth when reeling. The Curado always felt a little rough, not bad just not silky smooth. I have also purchased a new Curado 51E and that has the same feel as my previous Curado. It is not bad just a different feel. Abu Garcia seems to have a way of making the reel retrieve silky smooth. My Abu spinning reel is also really smooth which is why I decided to go with a Abu Garcia casting reel. Now that I think about it, the Abu Garcia reels feel like there is a little more weight behind it. Kind of like a flywheel on a car effect. The weight keeps things moving smoothly but without increasing fatigue, maybe reducing it since it takes less effort to crank. That last part is speculation since that just came to me. Overall great reel, I am already thinking about getting a Revo STX since this one is working out so well.
TZ-IL : Great Deal for a Great Reel
I bought the RH, 6.4:1 model, fulfilled by Shelton's Clothing, who shipped it on time and in good packaging.
This was my first baitcasting reel, although I have used baitcasters a few times. The SX falls in between the STX and the S in the Revo low-profile baitcasters from Abu Garcia. For my needs (primarily pond/lake Largemouth Bass fishing), the SX has the best balance of features/performance vs price. Based on the product image that Amazon is using, I expected a new but older model of the reel. When I opened the package, I was pleasantly surprised to find that it is actually the current model (red drag cover, red accented spool, handles and star drag arms bent in towards spool, etc.).
Before using the reel, I carefully disassembled it and checked all the grease and oil points for lubrication. Everything appeared to have been properly lubed at the factory, but I added a few small drops of Quantum Hot Sauce oil to the mechanical brake and the spool bearings, per the manual.
I paired it up with a Abu Garcia Vendetta 6'6" M rod that I purchased elsewhere, and spooled the reel with 12# Trilene Sensation (green).
I've only had the opportunity to cast it about a dozen times so far. After being careful to get the mechanical and magnetic brakes dialed in for the weight of the spinnerbait I was using, it worked great -- I was able to cast about 30 yards (not trying to really heave it out there) and using a bit of thumb pressure when needed, I didn't create any "professional overruns". The spinnerbait was pretty heavy, though, so the real test will come when I try casting lures and rigs that are on the lighter side.
Retrieve was smooth, fast, and quiet -- the reel feels really solid.
I'll try to post an update after using the reel for a few months, but my first impressions are very positive and I would recommend the Revo SX.
J C : Revo sx
If you are looking for a higher end baitcaster this the way to go. The Revo is silky smooth casting and the drag is amazing. I am a long time curado lover and I still love the curado but same lure on same rod the revo out casts the curado by 20 yards easy and the revo is $40 less than the new curado e series
buy it you won't be sorry

Romina Natera : pretty good fishing reel
My husband is very pleased with this gift, he said It is the best casting reel he ever had...
jwm2201 : best reel i have owned
I have had several reels mostly Lews, not knocking lews reels but hard to find and fairly pricey. This Revo out castes any I have tried by atleast 20 feet and it casts easier with less effort.Best reel out there in my oppinion and $30 cheaper than Lews.
