I just returned from ky lake from a 3 day pratice. Went on April 28-30. Water was around 65-67 and I fished probably 20 hours on buck brush and mustard grass. Caught 2 that was 14in. Last day with 20 mins left I went to a 18ft hump that dropped to 25ft and caught a 5 1/2 no eggs no red marks. I'm thinking they have alrdy spawned or the big ones atleast because I never even saw fish take off or catch any on the banks. Suppose to be a full moon Sunday with temps in the 80's for a few days. I have a tournament on Tuesdays there. Should I just go to the hump I caught that 5lb on and graph it and fish or go to shallow banks in the mourning of the tournament. I fished 1 hump and caught one keeper and had to leave. I live 4 hours away so I can't practice again until the tournament.
Tournaments are won and lost on the decisions you make!
Tom
Go for the hump
On KY. Lake the bluegills are on the beds (heavily) south ky.. I'm certain you can catch a few LMB on pop r's . You need to fish the ledges as well, IMO.. To pick up kicker fish.. Good luck!
Guess what day it is.........HUMP DAY
On another note I hope you don't fish while mourning, I would think you would catch more in the morning!

If a guy isn't careful on Kentucky Lake there will be mourning! That lake has tried to kill me a couple of times!
Fish the offshore humps and ledges. Pay attention to current. Good luck.

Quite honestly, it sounds like you aren't on the fish, so I don't think it matters.
My advice would be to hit that hump - On the way to wherever they had the weigh-in last Saturday!
Retreads are better than nothing.
Never fished KY lake, only watched several TV tournaments held on it.
Outside humps and ledges seem to produce when there is current on KY lake, no current, few fish caught is my observation. If they are drawing water early, creating current, fish outside structure early.
If your strength is fishing deeper water, that is where you should gamble your entry fee...., no money at risk it doesn't matter where or how you fish.
Tom
The BFL weights were way down yesterday. 16-11 won. The fish are in a major transition phase right now and they are scattered as bad as I have seen them in a long time. My advice would be to go to Barkley if possible.

RELAX..
had to look at the title again read it as do fish hump in the mornings Lol. If there's shallow water then a hump to deep water it could be money
I don't think you should fish humps while you're mourning. That could bum you out, and you probably not get all the positive energy you should out of the fishing experience. I'd just go ahead and mourn. Mourn all you want, or as much as you feel is necessary, whichever comes first. Get your head straight, or as straight as feels comfortable for you. Then, the morning after you are done mourning, go fish all the humps you want.
I'm just glad that I could help in this situation. Genuine, deep counseling is never easy.

I posted that for your benefit, all caps means you're yelling. Forum (not just this forum) etiquette frowns on that behavior, but I see from your response yelling is the least of your etiquette problems.
I rarely mourn when i fish humps...

Not offended at all, you're new here, just pointing out the obvious. This is without a doubt the best bass website anywhere, there are ppl here who know allot (I'm not one of them), what's more they're willing to share that knowledge. However acting like you already know it all and lashing out at the members here is not conducive to your education or other member's enjoyment. This forum is great because there has been allot of hard work by Glenn, Keri and the mods. This is Glenn's forum the rest of us are guests and should behave as such. I'm not dogging you or calling u out, and I wouldn't report you or your tantrum not worth the effort. In case you missed this it's required reading http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/forum-30/announcement-5-read-me-before-posting-this-is-critical/
Wasnt trying to be rude or sound like i know everything was only giving advice diddnt know cap. Letters were considerd rude . I have alot of knowlage but not the Most . Sorry for any miss understanding.
