I found the female topic on the general forum interesting and wanted to add to it. I was wondering if people could list pictures of their daughter/sister/wife/(any female) bass that they pulled in and the technique that was used.
This is a video of my wife catching her first big bass but no need to watch the full thing, just skip to her part if you want to at the minute 4.15 on the video.
Finally fixed the video. Apparently the johnny cash music made the music inaccessible to the US. Had this video up for 2 years and never realized it. So, i just reloaded it without music
I love this video in that it was caught on film (i must warn you, i panicked and started to coach her too much and my voice went up three octaves. This fish really sealed the deal and got my wife excited for bass fishing. The lure is blotted but only so the locals wouldn't use it. Any decent angler would figure out what works.
Technique= dragging a worm.
My guess, from most women who catch big bass who are not avid fisherman, their big bass come by dragging some type of bait (usually unintentionally). This does not include the experienced female angler. Just wanted to see if their was a pattern.
I can't watch it due to the use of copyrighted material. Music?
Bummer... been blocked in my country as well.
;D
No video or pic, but my wife's first LM came on a grub on a darterhead... just told her to cast it towards shore and slowly reel it in. Bam, first cast and there it was.
OWNED
Here are some pics of my fiance and our fishing trips! She usually skips the bass trips, but loves the trout trips! Here are a couple of her bests! All of these were caught bottom bouncing while drifting. She uses a Pleuger President on a St Croix premier spinning outfit! And yes that is her rod and reel!
Here is a video of my fiancee and I's fishing last year... Before last year, she only ever caught one tiny smallmouth... last year she got her first LM, Carp, catfish, blugill/crappy, and perch! Sorry about the pics of me but there is lots of her and her first catch's!

Those trout are gorgeous!!! Man, the colors are amazing. Trout fishing is a great second to bass fishing. My video is finally up and running. Sorry about the delay. B. Lee, your video is not showing.
Central bass, That is a great video! Man, that is a plethora of fishing trips your gal goes on. A man could not ask for more

Thanks dude! She's joining my bass club so there will be lots more trips to come!
ANDDDDDD our honeymoon is to ALASKA this summer so hopefully lots of Salmon pics!!
texas rigged trick worm in bubblegum.
Here's a nice Smallie she had last Fall. We were fishing RW's private pond below Pickwick dam so try to keep it on the DL
This is my 12 year old daughter, Samantha, with an Oklahoma farm pond bass. She's been fishing with me her whole life, but this was her first time targeting bass with baitcasting gear.
This was my wife's first experience with UL tackle and 4 lb line. I think it was late summer/early fall and the fish took a tube right in front of that grass line in the back round of the photo.

My wife and I decided to try a shallow pond off a local lake that is choked with weeds during the summer time. Thought the shallow mud bottom might attract some fish early in the year and they were! She was fishing an 1/8 oz black and blue chatterbait on 6lb test and keeping up pretty well with me and putting a hurting on my buddy that was fishing with us. One of her first fish was a nice fish.
There were some shad flipping in a corner of the lake the pond is next to and when I told her to cast towards them she was rewarded with this really healthy chunk.
She had to have a pink rod but the Okuma in the picture just got retired for a St. Croix Avid Pearl and Quantum Energy PT, whatever it takes to keep her happy and keep her going fishing with me .
My wife with a nice Tennessee striper.
Great video! Really enjoyed it.

thanks Dwight. There is something about all of these pictures. Now, don't get me wrong, i enjoy fishing with my family and the occassional friend here and there, but when you go fishing with the wife/daughter/or female, it makes it more exciting. All of these pictures just make me want to take my wifey fishing again. Plus, i am not gonna lie, they are usually more willing to film a good fish getting reeled in than your buddy who is silently ticked off that they didn't catch the fish and is still fishing or begrudgingly netting the fish.
That is a nice striper! Congrats to the young lady.

Wow!! Loved this thread, those pics. I remember the times when my dad took me fishing...they were the times I remember best with him. They were the times I felt like I was welcomed and loved by him in his world (he would practice cast all winter in Maine and was fanatic!). When I showed promise he told me secrets about bass and their ways. We spent many an hour silent as the sun rose. When I saw these photos of wives and daughters holding their catches triumphantly I remembered those times, and was happy! Thanx Shimmy for bringing this up...a big part of fishing really is companionship in all its forms (man to man, man to woman, father to daughter, father to son. Fishin rules in so many ways ;D
Nice pictures by everyone
My wife with her first Crappie. My father in the background.
Caught on a 7" gold centipede soft plastic she had bought at a flea market because it looked cool! This was about her 4th cast with it. Texas rigged
figured i could donate to this thread. Here's one my gf caught last year. She would go everyday if we could. She caught this on a fluke at pickwick!
The *** I have for you guys that have women that are passionate about fishing.
Here's two my girlfriend caught last June on Kentucky Lake. She caught them dragging a football jig.
My wife seldom fishes with me but on this day I forced her too. And she had a blast. here is her 51 lb blue.
Now she wants to go again.. :-/
Capt Mike
My fiancee wont let me take pics of her fish cuz shes camera shy. She always catches the biggest bass of the day too. Just cant get her to put a senko down and try something else. I can respect a lady that has the patience and technique to fish a jig properly. Kudos
Mike... that's one crazy cat!!! That would have scared my wife.
;D
My two year olds first fish! Plan on getting plenty more this summer as her technique has really improved!

Ah, memorie's! What did the wiseman say once, "Without memorie's of one's past triumph's and foible's, there would be but a vast empty soul!" Enjoy our precious time with loved one's, for tomorrow is not promised to no one! Peace!!! Junebugman
