Just watched the extended cast. Love that show! It's great to have Marty Stone and the MLF back on, the other shows that they weren't on weren't as good. KVD made me laugh. Not only were the fish killing his bait, but they hung there calmly to be unhooked, the fish the others were catching were flipping about all over the place. He is the fish wizard.
I love your avatar .
It was a fun show to watch. KVD really is the master when it comes to those smallie lakes. And then to have the show end like it did was pretty exciting and heartbreaking for that 5th place guy because he's a good guy too. Too bad my TV provider charges extra for the Outdoor Channel.

Depending how much the package is, I believe you can watch the extended cast and all the shows for like $30... I imagine that is cheaper than paying monthly for the Outdoor Channel, unless that is you watch the other channels included with the package.

Yeah, but then I have to watch it on my computer which isn't as comfy as watching on the big screen.
I usually go in half with a buddy and get the online coverage.

Oh I hear you there. Nothing beats the big screen, although these days with airplay, chromecast, etc., watching on the big screen is a lot easier than before.
I'm starting to really enjoy that program. What happened to poor Timmy Horton? That's one of the reasons I enjoy MLF - we get to see some fisherman struggle big time. Others we see struggle but then get it
going and others do good then start to sink. The fishing seems more realistic.
I loved watching them on a lake that i know!
I knew kvd was gonna slay on the jerkbait
those lakes are awesome jerkbait lakes...i wore the paint of off several pointers there lol
I can't remember who it was, but one of the guys kept screaming it's a giant and would reel in a 1.5 fish over and over. Too funny.
Strv- that is Mike Iaconelli. He is quite the character and know for crazy stuff like that.
Jeff
MLF is one of the few fishing programs I will re-watch a few times because it's so entertaining.

Probably Iaconelli. It's all for show, but it gets old. The guy knows his stuff and on those rare moments where he isn't so dramatic you can learn a lot from the guy. But I can't stand him most of the time when he is screaming and running around the boat like a fool.

If you've never seen the footage of the line breaking on him at the boat in a tourney, and him jumping in after it but keeping a hand on the boat to keep the fish... You should.
In my opinion, MLF is definitely the best competition series there is. Love the penalties!
I like it when a penalty is called. Sometimes the look on the the fisherman's face is sometimes priceless! Good Show!
I love the format and the no live well rule.. It really shows who can adapt and who does not.
Get Mike a binkie for that engine cutoff lanyard.
Capt Mike
The more I watch this show the more I like it, and I love that it's 2 hours now instead of an hour. But I'm starting to dislike Iaconelli more and more. And you can tell there's no love lost between him and some other guys like Shaw Grigsby and KVD.
Mona and Iaconelli are both really bothersome to me, as they just GOTTA make a scene , as tho it's all about them, when bass fishing is the main topic , not their antics.
Watching this now. My first MLF show on TV. I like the Landing Penalty and that all fish over 12 inches count toward the weight. It is great to see my local lakes on the show but it Don't help with the cabin fever. I'm 10 miles away and -7 deg.

Not to hijack but this is an incredible catch!
And I love MLF as well. It's pretty cool seeing them on one of my home lakes. I remember when they were here and wanting to call in sick so bad to go out to watch them.
edit: And just to make sure everyone knows, that show was just the first of 3 for that area. Then they usually have a "winning ways" show to talk about baits and techniques.
Every time I see this thread it looks like it says MIlf in Maine. Makes me chuckle every time. Wonder if that is why there are so many views.

Yup,I just had to open it.
Great show. I`m surprised the average weight isn`t higher.

I am in KC and have Consolidated Communications. The Outdoor Channel and NFL Network are $4.99 a month. I couldn't live with out them

Strong post to username corrolation..lol. And why do you think we put up with the winters here?...what happens in Maine stays in Maine
Just watched the second one. Fantastic. Wasn't sure I'd ever see the MLF events won anywhere but on the bank, but they did a great job with the drop shots out deep. Aaron Marten's referee hated him, not often you see personality clashes like that. Quite funny, made Aaron act up even more.
What happened in the first one when Mike McClelland when he was in his penalty the ref didn't let him use his the pliers to grab something out of his shoe? Did anyone else catch that?
^^^ I did see that and was wondering as well. Maybe when in penalty they cannot use any of their equipment?...for anything?
It must be a rule new because in the past the anglers would sometimes retie or go through tackle in their penalty, I haven't seen anyone do that yet

Not a new rule. When it first started they just had to sit there and not touch any of their equipment,re-tie, or anything during their penalty. I think around the 4th event they took away doing everything else during the penalty too (i.e. drinking water, going to the bathroom, etc.) The point being that they are in a penalty and being "punished" and it kind of made the "time out" pointless if they were allowed to do all of this. So they are making them do it during their fishing time instead of taking advantage of that 2 minutes to get those things out of the way.
Makes sense
