What would YOU buy?
Right now, probably some Spro frogs, some braid, and some swim jigs.
That changes a lot depending on what I'm in need of.
Im in the market I think for a new spinning rod...and suggestions?

I mean reel....
If I had a hundred to blow on fishing, I'd get some yum f2 wooly bugs - killer for bed fishing in clear water. I'd get brush hogs, some flouro, some jigs, and a swim bait or two. If you're looking for a reel, I like anything abu garcia. Not too expensive and always going to last if you take care of it.
I'd gas up my boat and actually have a full tank for once.
I'd get some soft plastic frogs, worms. plastic swimbaits, crankbaits, jerkbaits
I'd buy a reel...i love me some revo's
$100 for a spinning reel, get you a Sahara 2500, save $20, and buy some Rage Tails.
I'd get me another curado or maybe even a citica.
GMANS and Skinny Bear jigs and soft plastics, lots of soft plastics!
Save your money and buy a nice rod or reel later.

I agree. Do some research on what you want and then look around for sales. I picked up two reels I have been wanting, one 25% off and the other 50% off. Had I bought them when I had the urge, I would have paid full retail.
If you dont know what you want to buy, then you probably are "blowing" your money in the first place. Save it until you need it. $100 is too much money to throw out the window.
Well, fortunately, my boat tank is only 6 gallons, and I typically might only use 2-3 gallons in a trip.
But I filled my truck yesterday, just to get to the lake today and tommorow, and that cost me $112 !
So that's what I'd be spending $100 on for my fishing.... pretty much every week now for a while
Fish

You can get a really nice spinning reel for less than $100.
I think it's a little overkill to spend over $100 on a spinning reel, but that's just me.

Fish
Man that really sucks! I remember when I started driving it was .99 cent a gallon. My father told me when he started driving he could get a pack of smokes, a 6 pack, and fill up the tank for the whole night with 5 bucks! Man.....I wish!
I'd use it for gas and other expenses and go fishing.
I'd save it and use it for launch fees. It costs me $4 to launch every time. When you fish as much as I do, that will add up.
Take the wife/girlfriend out to dinner. Think of it as an insurance policy

Gas in the boat... Anyone spare $100 for the truck? LOL!
id buy nothing. $100 doesnt get that far these days. id much rather wait and get what i want than what fits the current finances.
