Brookie, I'm no expert on fish anatomy, but fish do produce sperm that are carried in milt which is produced by the testes. I believe these organs are internally located on our fish brethren.
I have to say, I think this is the first time I have seen this as a subject of a thread.

I forgot to actually answer your question. Yes, Male bass DO have testes but they are an internal rather than external organ. "Sexing" a fish often requires an autopsy.

LBH--Correct me if I am wrong but don't female Bass have TWO openings on their underside and male only ONE?? I thought "sexing" a fish only required looking for the number of openings.

lol to clear this up. both the fish are speckle trout I caught in a stocked pond and they won me 3rd place in a fishing derby. I broke both of their necks to kill them.

I heard something similar... one has an hour glass shape and the the other has just one opening. Still haven't been able to differentiate between the two (they all look the same downtown - LOL)!

There may be a certain fish that this holds true for but for the general fish population, 1 hole, called the "vent".
