Mine has to have been the swim jig. Whether it's been with a regular trailer or even a spinnerbait blade on the back, this has been my most productive technique. I'd say mostly due to the fact I've been fishing lots of shallow grass since I moved away from the White River chain of lakes (not a blade of grass) to a little farther down south.
I'd say pitching a punch bait followed closely by the umbrella rig.
Lipless crankbait.
Tubes, first time I ever used them. I had absolutely fantastic year using tubes.
Hootie
T- rigged soft plastic worm, I always can grind out bites with this method..
Did a lot of spybaiting this year, and it worked out well.

Probably my all time favorite, as I'm sure it is for a lot of folks
Ned Rig
Last season I started to jig. The year before I only used mostly spinners, but the season I plan to start using Senkos. I have NEVER wacky rigged before (only drop and text rig)
I was happy to order all I needed through TW.

What's up with the Ned Rig, avery? What makes it better than your average jig head?

Nevermind avery. Once again I have spoke too soon. I have yet to try it. I definitely need to up my finesse game.
I will throw lots of different baits but the go too baits have been the same for a few years. With thick cover and lots of pads, the 4" senko type baits, weightless flukes, and swim baits have been magical. Watermelon red, Okeechobee, and Junebug have been hot consistently. Day in and day out they will catch large numbers of fish, in all types of conditions.
Deep crank here.

What is your set up when throwing the Ned Rig? I want to be able to throw a 1/16 oz far as possible.

There is a very good video with Ned Kehde, check it out, it will answer a lot of question about the Ned Rig. http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/147809-ned-rig/
I use two different setups based on the weight I want to throw. St.Croix Rage 6'10"ML/XF 20lb PP slick 8, 6lb FC leader. St. Croix LTB 6'10"M/XF 20lb PP Slick 8 6lb FC leader. I usually throw either a 3/32 or 1/8 oz head with a ZMAN TRD or Zinkerz cut in half. Have also used the Hula Stikz and Hag's Tornado with good success.
It seems that almost every season there is a different go to, or hot bait for me and this year was no different. Although jigs have been big producers for me for years, I relied heavily on them this year. Part of that is because I've been targeting big fish and for me, jigs have always produced in that department. The other reason is that jig fishing slows me down and really gets me into the mindset needed to fish the pressured waters I frequent.

I use the same LTB with a Pfluegar Supreme XT 25 size with 10lb Super Slick and a 10 or 8 pound fluoro leader. I fish the 3/32oz head 95% of the time.
I'm sure it comes as a real shocker that I caught a lot of my fish on a bladed jig last year

This, literally word for word!
Mine would have to be a swim jig too, They have caught me a ton of fish this year and they are a blast to fish!
This was the year of the chatterbait for me. I probably caught 3 times as many fish on that over any other lure.
Topwater
1. Swim jig
2. Brush jig
3. Finesse Worm
4. Bladed jig
5. Fluke
plastic worms were the most productive, jigs were my favorite, but the greatest improvement for catches/catch rate was easily the spinnerbait... i really turned it up with the spinnerbait this year.
Pitching docks, followed by bombing norman weed walkers way back in lilly pads, followed by arashi wake bait.
For next year, looking forward to adding skipping docks to above.
Swim jigs
Wacky Rig
Rage Rig
I started deep cranking this past summer.
Old school basser...
10 inch worm texas style
Lipless crankbait
spro arukushad 75
I have loved fishing topwater, shallow hardbaits, I am at the point that I throw the Sebile Flatt SHadd suspending which sits on the surface and is practically weedless, the Ima Skimmer, Chug bugs, Ripplin red Fins, floating Minnows, Love the Bagley Bang O lure with the rear prop, but dressing the trebles has opened my eyes to the power of a lure sitting still.....
My favorite technique this past year was the Cavitron Buzzbait. Never caught a bass on a buzzer until this year. Once I got one I was hooked (pun). Love those buzz baits. (3/8 white)
Not necessarily my most productive ... that would be the good ol senko.
The good ole weightless t-rigged Senko.
Texas rigged everything. But mostly texas rigged pit bosses.
Caught great numbers on frogs, dropshots, cranks and creatures
Cashed a check on deep cranks and beavers!
I had the most fun with the dropshot, but as far as numbers go the weightless fluke prevailed.
Early to mid spring though I killed them with a floating jerk, and eventually moved on to a suspending.
Shallow cranking was huge this year. So was topwater at night.
Got into chatterbaits which I loved the idea but wasn't having much luck until I slammed 4.5lb and 5lb largemouths which are pretty big in ohio.
This was my first year fishing jigs in heavy cover. Took me a while to gain confidence in the big profile. I always threw tubes or grubs, but I am starting to love the jig.
Drop shot isn't new to me but likely my favorite thing to do.
Mine has definitely been the jig and jerk bait bite that is starting to settle in now in these cold months... Catching some of the biggest sacks ive caught before this time of year.
It wasn't my most productive technique, but dragging a football jig was hands down my most favorite technique. I love slowly feeling the bottom composition. I love the anticipation of the bass thumping the jig. And most of all I love setting that hook. Before I got confident with the jig I was mostly fishing a drop shot and that wimpy lift hook set is just no comparison.
