Just got a mold to make some tiny bass jigs, down to 1/8oz. I have some 2" power craws and 2.5" BatwingZ, what other trailers are everyone using on super finesse jigs like that?
Tiny Paca Chunks and the SK Bitsy Bug craw trailers are what I've used for those small jigs. I've also used a 3" stik-o/senko, which looks/works better than you might think on a tiny jig .
Interested in what everyone is using as well.

I use a custom pour plastic trailer similar in size to the old 101 spin frogs (pork). About 1.5" x 5/8" in size. Closest production pour I've seen is the ISG Bambino Finesse Chunk.
Last year the expensive Strike King Denny Bauer ElazTech bitsy chunk (2") proved its worth on the back of an 1/8 oz. bucktail jig. Being ElazTech, it'll hang on that hook until I break off the jig.

Rage chunk is my favorite in the summer. I also will use a 3" kalins grub
Half a Zlinker, or one of the Zman leeches.
I am also going to give the Producto Tournament Grub a try this year;
A couple of finesse trailers I like:
Fish-shaped: Zoom 4" Fluke Jr. - aurora black
Craw-shaped: Netbait 3" Paca Chunk - black shadow
Roger
Zoom super chunk Junior.
I wish they made this in one size smaller. Right now I am pouring a trailer the size of a Zoom tiny chunk but would like one shapedlike the super chunk.

I've used 2/3 of a 5" stick worm for a finesse jig trailer lots of times and it is a great trailer. Doesn't do much, but the fish love it.
These are the jigs I'm tying that I'm looking for the trailer for. It's a 1/0 hook and 1/8oz head, very tiny jig.

I have a bunch of these, but even the Bitsy size is almost too large. I might get out some scissors and do some trimming. Necessity is the mother of invention right?

Bluebasser86, That'll work as is. If you don't think so, send it to me and I'll post another pic of it in the roof of a smallie's mouth.
I like a Gambler BB cricket for small jigs like that.
First and foremost, the BEST TRAILER EVER for tiny jigs is a baby Rage Craw. Period. Other options include Strike King 3x Tiny DB Chunk, 3" Rodent, 3" Twin Tail Grub.
Tiny paca chunk, kickin b chunk or 3inch beaver!

I think that ISG chunk might be what I'm looking for. I'm still looking for a more craw profile, but so far the best thing I've found that is as small as I'm looking for is a Southern Pro Crappie Craw at 1.5" long, but of course it's mostly bright colors for crappie fishing.
Rage Tail Menace. Just cut off part of the body to fit.
I cut Yum Sharpshooters, Warning shots and Kill Shots in half using the back half as trailers.
Yum baits are cheap and come in big quantity packs so it's not a waste to me to get creative with them
When I am throwing a small jig, like the 1/16th and 1/8th oz. Bitsy Jigs the small Big Bite baits craw worm gets the call for trailer duty.

I was going to say bite a rage tail in half
Look into the Yamamoto baby craw , just cut it to the desired length.

Hmm... a true finesse jig...something I don't have many of. May have to get me some of this smallmouth candy!
Looks good Blue
Ideally, you want a trailer created specifically for the size jig you are using without trimming off or cutting. Easy to get the right length, but not the right proportions relative to the jig when trimming larger baits. They'll work, but usually not as well.
NetBait Tiny Paca Craw 2 1/4"
Not that tiny but love the color
I use UJ 101 Spin Frog, for soft plastic Don Iovino hand poured Jig Trailer 2", see TW.
Tom
Tiny Paca chunk and zoom 3" creepy crawler, which is a small profile double tail grub.
I like the Tiny Paca Chunk for small jigs and when I want a really small profile I opt for the Venom Lures Ron Yurko Finesse Chunk. I use to use the Zoom skinny chunk they discontinued and then the Prowler Lures small pro chunk and the small pro eel chunk, no made anymore either. So my main 2 weapons are the finesse chunk and the tiny paca chunk.
I had never really noticed the Tiny Paca Chunk before. I really like the looks of it, both as a trailer and rigged alone on like a 1/8 Draggin head.

PM sent about the Prowler baits.

Missle baits drop craw at 3 inches oal you could sed trim down to the desired size

Or the missle fuze would be another option to trim down

I've had good success with 2 or 3" single tail Yamamoto grubs depending how long the skirt is on the microjig. In my experience out here when they want a smaller jig they seem to prefer that smaller trailer.
The tiny paca chunk is what i use on bitsy bugs
Cutting the skirt off of a 2" Keitech Little Spider might be worth a try.

I have to ask, why such a thick hook on a finesse jig? Normally for something like this I am using 8lb line so I need a thinner wire hook.

It's not that thick, it's just a close up picture.
I take the cheapo Big Bite Senko knock offs and cut them in half. Cut an X in it cross from the hook. Make the cut about 1/2" up the bait from the tail. Remove the top and bottom from the X. It looks like a little craw pincher and you get the slightest little flutter on the fall.
It works year round.
Z man crusteaz are probably the smallest thing I use. Work great on the eco gnats, bitsy bugs and tiny zappu or eco heads etc. That and those tiny northland slurpies tubes work for a lot of stuff as well.
I'm also a big fan of Bitsy Bug Craws. They're great on the tiny jigs and they're also easy to cut down if you really need to mimic something tiny. They aren't big on action like the Rage Craws or Speed Craws, which I've found to be preferable for finesse fishing smallmouth when the forage is small and the water is clear. If I want a similar profile and more action, I'll usually just use/trim down a chunk profile bait with bigger claws. I'll likely be throwing a lot of these once I can finally get on the water in a few weeks for pre-spawn/spawn smallmouth.
I've had some luck with the Big Bite Baits chunk. They're cheap and might be what you're looking for. They're very small. http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Big_Bite_Baits_Chunk_10pk/descpage-BBBCHNK.html

I don't like those types of trailers anymore and usually just put some sort of rage product on the back of my finesse jigs. I also really like a bit-off trick work, similar to what you do with your chatterbaits sometimes.
The ones that ZMan makes are pretty good. I think they are called the CrusteaZ
I opt for a half of a 4 inch swimming dinger but will use 3 inch creature baits on occasion. I usually swim my 1/16 and 1/8 bitsy bugs so the paddle tail gets the nod more often than not.
I think I'm on the right track

I dont care what's on the menu, every big girl wants hors d'oeuvres.
2.8 Crazy Flapper is another great bait. Works well as a jig trailer and on a mushroom head.
Tiny paca craw, and super chunk jr. mostly. However, I have used super hogs, 6" plastic worms, and speed craws too.
