I know there's that frustrating feeling that it's something you want cuz you had one and it was lost one way or another.
Or you've heard or seen that particular lure but just can't have...
I guess glide baits because of the price of entry. I live in cali where they use huge 10 plus inch super realistic baits to catch giants. Some of these swim baits cost well north of 100 bucks! Not to mention a specific rod and reel combo to throw the 4 oz plus bait.
My Bagley collection from about 79 to 2008, I sold them off to a collecter, I made a fair amount of cash and a GLX flipping stick with recoils, but I wished I hadn't
There are some wooden swimbaits that I REALLY wish were still made. Tough to find, difficult to swallow the price tag on them in today's market.
Rapala Shallow Fat Raps, man, not only they are getting hard to find, they are pricey 15+ bones a pop.
Rapala jointed countdowns. On Ebay they sell for over 20 bucks a pop, but they are killers for when lake trout are up shallow.
Wow, didn't know a Rapala jointed countdown even existed.
That's what I've noticed about ebay, it's not like before you can bid or buy something cheap. Now buying from ebay is expensive and I hardly see any bids for things.
Times a changing, even on ebay.

Yeah, it was discontinued. I lost one of the two that I had left to a very large stick. Still trying to find a similar lure.
A (the) Giant Haskell Minnow. I understand it brought over a hundred thousand dollars at an auction.
Two recent ones for me.
Rapala Silent Rippin Rap Chrome Blue Pike took my last one cant get any more
Kinami Palm Tree Watermelon Chartreuse discontinued but I did manage to source about 90 packs before they were gone so have to ration their use. I lost two to low hanging branches yesterday thought very seriously about wading out to get them.
I would like about 2 dozen some LC RC1.5s in Blue Bream.
Or I wish the LC RTO 1.5s (same bait as far as I can tell, just doesn't have Clunn's name on it) would use that pattern.
Terminator's black spinnerbait with the beveled Colorado blade. I forget what it was called, but it flat outfished any other I've used at night.
The original Flapin Hog from GYCB. They some how violated a patent law from some one else's bait.
mr twister sassy shiner. havent got to use them since the early 90's. combined with an 1/8oz jighead, we used to catch all kinds of fish with them. black with red fleck probably worked the best.
Roman Made Mother It's just soooo much $
Roman Made Negotiator "Custom" They just don't exist to be had.
In all fairness I kind of gave up looking for a negotiator custom a while ago but there might be some out there now. There was a few to be had but I was not paying 2x the price so let them pass. I just throw the DEPS now but still wouldn't mind having a negotiator to play with.
There is also some real older Castica swimbaits that would be cool to have and I guess are real top notch big fish magnets.

You don't "need" the giants ones to get into glide baits. I catch a lot of fish on the smaller ones like a DEPS 175 sk converted to a ss or the Gan Craft 178. I will say though there is a difference in performance between those and the DEPS 250 and Gan Craft Jointed Claw but as long as your have a decent swimbaits setup already you can get your foot in the door for like $60 with the smaller 6-8" baits.
The 3/8 ounce yo Zuri rattling vibe and 3d vibe in the color patterns I like
For many anglers, this may sound ridiculous. But the mattlures ultimate bluegill because it's too expensive. It would definitely be worth it, I have used one, but too expensive.
If you guys want big glide baits or swim baits but don't want to pay $60, you should be checking out musky lures from places like The Musky Shop.
The old FLW Worms sold in the free bags at Walmart about 15 years ago. I loves their 7" curl tail.
Also the Bomber Balsa B. One of the toughest square bills to hang up. I have around 20 of them.
2" Senkos. I use them fairly often in spring when the food is still small and they are great on a few local smallie rivers. I bought a ton on the GYCB website when they were closing them out but I am down to maybe 20 bags left and when they're gone, they're gone

I have quite a few of them. They catch fish and you can get giant baits for under $20. I never caught a musky with one though

When you do, trust me, you will swear that they are evil.
I want a rapala HJ 12 in CW....they havnt made that color in over ten years and it murders and mean MURDERS smallies on the rivers
I really wanna try those Ima Flit jerkbaits but I'm just not spending $17 on one bait.

KVD 1.5 Bluegill in this colour, glad I was able to stock up on them. Wish I could find a few of the rattling versions. I would pay double for them.
old style plastic worms, Mann's Mannipulater worm, or the Gilraker and slimraker's. Fished those 3 styles of worms when I was a teen and they caught a lot of fish. Or the Gene Larew Salt Craw in Plum w/Silver Claws or Black w/Chartruese Claws....2 colors they don't offer anymore but caught a lot of fish on.

Oh geez....I agree, only have 2 left. One of my favorite small cranks (#5's) of all time.
I also miss Luck E Strike Guido G4 tubes.
Heddon's Dying Flutter put some nice bass in my boat. Very nice...they no longer make it...the ones on Ebay are not
what I want...Old School basser...
Gold hammered redfish key spoon. Couldn't find them for a few years, as of late I did find some and stocked up. I only use them for bass, too many cut offs in salt water so I don't use it there.
What I wouldn't give to go back and buy several 3700 boxes full of the old wiggle warts

I feel your pain. We saw a lot of good lures fall to the wayside after the VMC Corporation began buying out the smaller bait companies. I also miss the balsa Fat Raps, Sz 5&7 in all colors. It was a tough crank that you could crash on the bottom and into logs. I have 30+ FRs, NIB in my collection that I'm holding for my son.

Bettencourts are pretty cool handmade wooden swimmers and Nate will make it however you ask him to... You probably already know that but just in case . Sort of expensive but not really when you look at some of the JDM swimbaits out there. That dying bluegill they make is so cool.

I ordered the dying bluegill earlier this spring... still waiting to get it!
Cordell use to have a color that was a cross between white and silver. I have a 1/4 oz spot and a 1/2 oz. big-o in that color. I use to have a 1/3 oz. big-o but lost it years ago. I have never caught as many bass on any crankbait as I did on that thing. No matter what the weather or time of day that bait caught bass.

1/2 ounce rooster tail in line spinners. Those were my favorites and now i cant find them anywhere. Darn you trees

I know this lol i bought six of them on ebay not long ago lol
I can already hear y'all laughing, but I'm having a really hard time finding YUM 3" Mighty Bugs. LOVE that plastic!!!!!
well you cant beat a rico topwater, but at 25 bucks a pop, you also cant quite "stock up" on them either;)
The Rapala Rattlin' Fat Rap isn't made anymore. It was one of the best crankbaits out there and I REALLY miss it. The Risto Rap too.

Me too, I bought every pack chinamart had in the bargain bin this past winter. Good bait on a small football head. Bama bug is my favorite color.

You're not alone. I, too, like the Mighty Bug-although I wish the head were a little tougher (they like to slide off the hook easily).
Bill Norman Snatrix. In the 80's I caught so many fish using that plastic snake.
Walmart's Renegade Tequila Sunrise curl tailed worm...6 inches...classic...old school basser...
