This is always a great thread. Post up what you got... pics and videos too!
It was a big day for me. Tackle Warehouse order. Revo STX, Mojo Bass rod, some soft plastics, line, Jig heads, new softbait storage system, and some apparel.
I'll do a little unboxing vid when it all comes. Those are always fun.
What did YOU buy today?
Went to Walmart today for some groceries and walked through the fishing section. They almost always have the same stuff but today I noticed some Strike King buzzbaits that I'd never seen in there before. Since I didn't have any buzzbaits and they were only $4, I picked one up. Caught my first spinnerbait fish today on a chartruese Strike King spinnerbait and then lost it so Im gonna pick up another one of those tomorrow.

I have a few of those LOL. They work good.

12 Booyah Buzzbaits 1/4 and 3/8 oz ($1 each)
2 Castaic Rockhard 4" Swimbait ($4)
30 300yd Spools of Trilene XL ranging from 6lb to 12 lb test ($1.50 each)
2 Plano Crankbait Box's

Most of it I'll just resell for a small profit, to get more stuff I actually need and use, but it was fun

Wwwwhhhhaaattt?! Dude, where is this magical Walmart? My Walmart never has deals like this on fishing stuff.
I'm in Alaska so "bass fishing" stuff is always on mega clearance, because they get it in on accident. Can't wait to get back to the states in 4 months, but I'm loving the sales till then You can only catch but so many Salmon and trout before it gets old.
I'm going to go to Wal-Mart in the morning to see. Those prices are ridiculous. I hope my Wal-Mart is on drugs to.

Ah...gottcha. And X's 2 on the trout. Thats all Ive been catching all winter. Its nice to be catching something but Im really glad that Im back on the bass now.
Yeah I think I'll head back up there and buy them out of the Berkley Line, $1.50 for a 300yd spool can't be beat
Today I only bought storm swimbaits as a joke. They weigh in at around 3 oz and are almost 8 inches long with a 3 in boot tail on the end.

Well I know where I'm going after work. My Wally World never has good stuff like that but I have to go check it out. As for buying stuff, it wasn't today but I got my order from TW yesterday. Not much, just some flukes, hooks, KVD L&L, and my very first tube of Megastrike. I'm really excited to get out this weekend and try out the Megastrike. I haven't caught a fish since last May (A new kid + college + work = no time for fishing) and I'm hoping it might help a little bit.

Installed my new elite 4 yesterday, today ordered a ram mount for the bow that fit the humminbird I removed at the console. I also took advantage of BPS sale for a second time and ordered some sick fish and some 8lb mono. Then I ordered a spool of 10lb fluro off the bay and a new mini a-rig. Last week I made my third pre season powerteam order and have almost 100 tubes as well as various other PT baits ready to go. Last week I ordered that BPS bionic reel that they have marked down to be a dedicated topwater reel.
I am officially done buying anything till I get some birthday gift cards, then it will be a couple new rods and I probably wont buy anything else for quite some time. I have no room for anything more.

Edited to add... Our local wal-mart stores have boxes of "clearance" I've bought pack of zoom horny toads, yum yumdingers, yum craw dads, zoom mini chunks, and yum lizards for $1.96/pack. They had a BUNCH of bright red and white lizards. Looked too strange for me, They looked like gummy worms (in color). Within 25 miles of me I have about 7 wal-mart stores and I travel locally for work so I hit them up pretty often.
Nothing today,
Darn it.
I picked up a craw crankbait from Dicks for $3. It looks insane. Cant wait to throw it this spring.
I ordered 2 replacement top sections for my 2pc Avid. Back in Oct My buddy stepped on the rod, getting into his boat, and snapped it.

Live Target? If so, those look unreal..lots of attention to detail. I bought a few of them to try out too.
unfortunately i had to buy a stainless steel prop for my outboard,2 new rear tires on my truck, and 2 new tires for my trailer. My truck had the "check engine" light on so i took it to my local dealership. Tranny is shot. Theyre installing a rebuilt one with a 3 year warranty for $2,800. Im at the point where im just trying to keep everything working. lol
Well add another purchase to today. I just ordered an Okuma Helios reel from Cabelas. On sale for $160 & $30 rebate & Free Shipping.

I have lived 1 1/2 hours from Fork my entire life and have never been. Finally took a day next month and plan on fishing from sun up to sun down. Hoping to catch a trophy on at least one of the items I bought today!!!!

let me know how that Helios is. I have been eyeing that up for awhile. I have my next reel narrowed down to a Helios or Patriarch
Not a damned thing. I was sitting this afternoon in an airport waiting for my flight, bored and armed with a tablet. Went on the BPS web site to check out their online Classic sale...and bought not a thing! I think I finally sated the bait monkey.
Today was a good day.
Bought a couple of Monster Rehabs on my way in to work last night. After reading this thread, definitely going to hit Walmart on my way home.
I bought $123 worth of groceries

I hear ya brother.... my trailer needed new tires so I ordered those. When I changed them out I found out I had blown rear seals. Didnt know what the bearings were so had to pull the hubs(which were older bolt style and I wanted rid of). Since I had the hubs off, I left them off and the trailer on jackstands. We had high wind, the boat and trailer fell to the ground. I smashed my hand getting it back up in the air. My new hubs came and I installed them. I no sooner finished and got to thinking they sent me a single lip seal, checked online and sure enough they did so I had to order a new set of seals which will need put on in the next few days. I then decided to put my new fish finder in, had one heck of a time pulling the transducer wire out and back in cause it was so tight. Went to step out of the boat and missed the step and caught my leg between the shift lever and steering wheel while hanging in the air with all my weight.
I hope my streak on that side means that next weekend is a good finish.
No pics yet, but i got my first bait casting rod and reel yesterday... Shimano of course... ahmmm..... thanks LgMouthGambler for an awesome deal!
Was in DSG for an hour today. At one point I had a jerkbait, a hat, some soft plastics.... I walked out with nothing because I decided I really didnt need any of it.

i always laugh when people say fishing is relaxing. I understand your struggles. Its always something. Whenever i am dealing with problems, i think of how easy it was when i had a battery, trolling motor, john boat, a spinning combo and baitcast combo and 2 small plano boxes. Some of my best fishing is done when im in my kayak with 1 combo and 1 plano box. But i always have to take things to the extreme.
I bought $300 worth of jig skirts from fishingskirts.com

DSG had buy one get one 50% off so I grabbed some red eye shad in 4 different colors and some rage tails. Also picked up some jigs and a couple smithwick rogues.
I've accumulated SOOO much stuff over the years! Have drawers full of who know what! However, I was at Cabelas last week and could NOT resist this bad boy:
Called a BX Swimmer by Rapala. Similar to the Sebile Magic Swimmer, but with a bill. The fit & finish was outstanding. Like I said...just had to have it! LOL!
Had some Dicks coupons I had to use up before they expired....Picked up a couple more 10xd's, 5xd's, KVD squarebills, and Rage Shellcrackers.
I bought the Lew's baitcaster last year and so far I love it.
I'm wanting to upgrade my spinning reel. So I just bought new in box Lew's Speed Spin spinning real for $43 with free shipping. That's a $16.99 discount from retail price.
SS300a RH/LH 9+1 5.2:1 31" 180/10 9.8 oz. $59.99

I was at Walmart and went back to the fishing section and bought a white 3/8 oz rooster tail inline spinner. I've heard they are good and hope to have some luck with it!

Slowly getting filled up for the season. I'm back in Florida in hopefully 4 months.
Tackle Warehouse order arriving tomorrow. Stay tuned to a little unboxing vid. Some nice goodies in there!
Shimano Cardiff 100A. For the price I got it for, I couldn't pass it up. I'll probably just stick it on an extra rod and keep a squarebill tied on, but it was a fun way to keep the tackle monkey at bay. It looks like it's getting Boca's and Carbontex, and possibly some other mods, so we'll see how she does
Nothing yet, but Storm Kickin' Minnow's are on the short list.
I bought a gen 3 Revo SX, a 7" MH Vendetta, 3 packs of Yum soft plastics, and 3 sets of reel grips. Oh, and a box of Gobstoppers.
TD-ito:
Not technically tackle or gear but after watching Force on Force on WFN I bought a neck gator/buff from Army Bass Anglers. Money goes to a good cause so what the heck.
That said, called in sick today and a BPS catalogue came in the mail. Sick enough that even $5 shipping to Canada with no minimum order couldn't entice me...
Today I bought a gen 3 Revo STX and a Fenwick HMG 7'0 rod along with a handful of Plano boxes. Yesterday I got a small package from TW with terminal tackle, mop jigs, chatterbaits, and zipperworms. Bought a 7'6" HMG flipping stick and Ardent F500 a couple weeks ago along with a Fenwick spinning rod(the name escapes me right now). Spent today organizing my last 3 TW orders in those Plano boxes. Still have a couple more things to get for the boat yet.
Some Knuckle 60, Jaka Jack and Scare Brow 57........On a CrankBait roll lately.
Found some Rapala lure in South African bait fish colors. Bought DT6 in Vlei kurper ( banded tilapia) and. Xrap in 3 spot barb minnow. Also picked up my first KVD 1.5 along with some KVD elite trebles, Owner dropshot hooks, InvisX flouro and PP super slick.

Went to Green Top to exchange a rod and picked up a Shimano Clarus Crankbait rod, a couple River 2 Sea frogs, some Sunline Reaction FC, a couple tandem shad rigs and some shad darts. We have a charity shad kayak event in a few weeks I need to get ready for.

A few jigs and shakeyheads from Siebert outdoors.
I'm almost afraid to say ... An Avid 6'3" ML/XF rod with a nice discount. I'm done buying now. Other than bait and terminal tackle, I *have* to be done.....
The whole set of Little Tubes and rigging from Confidence Baits. This d**n internet needs to stop showing me more cool stuff.
Did pretty good today. My family picked up our new Tracker 175 TXW
On 3/22/2013 at 9:17 AM, RyneB said:how do you work the UV speed worm? I have a pack of black/blue I got a few years ago and have yet to try them
I either swim them or use a technique called "feathering". I cast it out toward the bank, cover, weed line, ect..., let it fall a few seconds, pull the rod tip up in a smooth motion "not a twitch or a jerk", reel in slack and let it fall, pull rod tip up smooth, reel in slack let it fall, all the way to the boat. Works wonders from shore and from the boat.
In reality, you can fish the speed worm in a million different ways but those two presentations get me bit like crazy. Ive caught a 7 1/2lber on the 6" speed worm. Try the larger one for those hogs. Make sure it's the Ultra Vibe Speed Worm. This worm has been a deadly secret for me when everybody is throwing brush hogs, trick worms, and lizards. Everybody is using this or that but I get the numbers on this worm every time.
Check this out too... http://blog.***.com/blog/bid/81054/Four-Ways-to-Fish-a-Zoom-Ultravibe-Speed-Worm
Slim day. Bought a pile of 4/0 and 5/0 hooks as I was running low. Also bought an aerator for a live well I'm building for my brother-in-law's boat. Make work project until bass opens up in a few months.
So far I got in the mail this week.... it's almost game time!
Yesterday I got some spro power swivels and split rings and a bomber crankbait in blue/silver
Yesterday, I had to go in to work on my day off for a shift bid, for the next 6 months. Anyway, on the way home, there was this fishing tackle store. It drew me in, even though it knew I really didn't need anything and last week I got a Fenwick Aetos rod and a 5'9" Fenwick HMX spinning rod.
The point is it made me stop in again. This time I was drawn to the close out clothes rack, towards the back of the store. I found a set of Hunters Specialties polar fleece long underwear, list is $68 per piece. $35 for the set, tops & bottoms.
Today I bought a truck so I can haul the boat I bought last year.
Yet another Revo STX, Mojo Bass 7' M/F rod for my lighter plastics/copolymer line setup, 50lb Power Pro Braid, 3/8 Bass Patrol deflecting jig heads... *stoked to try these!*
House just sold and I'm back home in Florida May 16th! Ready to ROCK!
Let's see.......
An order from PTL with a couple packs of the new Swinging Hammer swimbaits, 6 packs of Sick Sticks, 4 packs of Texas Rig Jigs and a pack of 10" Ribbon Hinge worms. Also just bought a Revo Premier from a fellow BR member, an AVID 7'0" MH/XF casting rod and some Bull Shad swimbaits from Mike Bucca himself........
Now I just need a swimbait rod!
Booyah Pond Magic Spinnerbait in Junebug
Scumfrog Popping Frog in Green/Yellow
Bandit 200 Crank in Solid Black
Strike King Red Eye Shad in Chart. Sexy Shad
$1 WalMart Spinnerbait in Red/Yellow
I also got some split rings/split ring pliers. I found some lures last year on the banks of my lake with rusted out hooks and split rings. So aside from what I bought, I was also able to revive a Rapala X-Rap Shad in Olive Green, a Rapala Shallow Shad Rap in Blue/Orange, and another Bandit 200 in Mistake.
6 packs of Ribbet frogs (various colors, mostly greens)
2 packs of frog hooks- size 4/0
I still have more tackle than I'll ever use in my lifetime.
Diawa AIRD and all the makings for a C rig
Imakatsu- Jaka Jack and Scare Brow 57........
2 weekends ago at BPS
3 packs of 5'' Stick O's
1 pack of Zoom Super Flukes
1 pack of 1/4oz Spot Remover Shakey Heads
This past weekend my brother came to visit. He's strictly fly fishing now so I got all of his old bass tackle. I honestly don't remember everything in there but it included some Xcalibur cranks, Rat-L-Traps, some poppers, a Spook, Rapala X-Rap slashbait, a hand full of spinner baits, a coulple bags of plastics, 2 jigs and a bunch of sinkers, hooks, etc. Plus all the plano boxes. I guess I didn't buy any of that, but I think it still counts

Fishoflauge tackle bag and some Rick Clunn jerkbaits.
Today I just put in another order at Fishhound. Got a RES in Albino Craw, some RoboWorm Sculpin Ayus, some Power Team Jp Hammershad, and some RoboWorm curly tails. Needed some drop shot baits, so I stocked up. Set me back a whopping $4 for all of that lol. Wish I could go to BPS and only spend that much.
Friday...
White zoom super flukes
Megabass Vision 110
Blue Spike-It
3 Hawg Tech handles and a Minn Kota Talon
Has nothing to do with fishing but Prune Juice

LOL..
LED boat trailer tail lights. Sick and tired of blown bulbs, corroded fixtures, water getting into "sealed" lights.
I bought a *** *** Black 7'3" M spinning rod.
Got to go to BPS today. I got:
Shimano Compre Crankbait 7' MH
Jewel football jigs
Booyah Boo jig
And then my step dad got a sick combo with a Abu Garcia Veritas 7' MH and a Revo S and also a couple jigs. We got some stuff for the boat too.
I got another tube of Megastrike so i can use it a little more generously and not worry about running out
Today, at Cabelas I picked up a Duckett Micro Magic 7'3" MH/F rod to pair with the Daiwa Zillion I got back during the reel trade in at BPS.
I also got rod socks for my rods, and a pair of Reel Grips to try out.
Local Wal-Mart has SK tour grade tungsten weights, and Mustad KVD treble hooks on clearance, so I bought some, and a spool of 20lb Power Pro.
No tackle but got a nucanoe frontier and a revo s. Can't wait for ice out
A couple of weeks ago i got a spool of trilene 100% fc for 4 bucks spool of trilene for 3 bucks and about 45 packs of mustad ultra point power lock plus weighted hooks in 2/0 to 5/0 for 1 dollar a piece. At that price you have to buy them out.
Ordered today, Risto Rap RR8 in Clown.

Thanks! I love the Calcutta/Conquest line, as well.
Just got back from my Wally with some clearance items. 2 jerk baits, 2 top water jerk baits, 2 poppers, and 3 crank baits. All the YUM products were nothing of interest to me. I would rather buy my producing baits and keep all the "excess" out of my life.
Oh and not on sale, I got a KVD Sexy Frog, new Berkley multi tool, and a Berkley digital scale.
Pretty good for $48 bucks!
Usually when I shop it's at BPS and I cant get out of there with less than $75+ on the register total. I try tho.
Well, despite wanting to not jump in with both feet, I was at BPS looking around and succumbed to a great deal. I got a BPS Pro Qualifier BC reel and a Johnny Morris Carbonlite 7' med/fast casting rod. But I'm really excited because this balance and light weight is awesome. Plus, I got a smoking deal on it.

I don't have any BPS reels, but I do have their carbonlite rods the older cork versions and the new black handles, and for the money I love these rods. Never had any break and never had any issues with them. You will like the rod.
Ive got 2 BPS reels. A Rick Clunn reel I bought in 06 still rockin, and a Johnny Morris Sig Series. Also still going. Smooth as the day I bought it. I love the reel but I moved to Abu because I have tiny hands. I didnt know what I've been missing.
Though not "today", I, within the last couple weeks bought a new 6'3" Avid MLXF spinning rod (love), and a Lexa 2000SH spinning reel (love).
First bass of season (3 lbs) came off this set. Always nice to break in a new combo with the first fish of the season.

Also got a spool of 4lb Power Pro micro braid, and a spool of Seaguar Red Label 4lb fluorocarbon. Now I need to sell or trade one of my extra 2500 sized spinning reels for a 1000 size.

I made my most important purchase of the year today. got my license!
Picked up some Yum Money Frogs for $1.50 @ Walmart
A few days ago I ordered some Pro Qualifier rain bibs (on sale) to go along with the Pro Qualifier rain jacket that was purchased earlier. Got the jacket at the BPS catalog outlet at a great price a few months ago when traveling through the Springfield area.

Well I changed my mind on that the next day, and called and canceled the order. Thank god they didn't ship yet. So today, after it got too muddy to work, I decided I better go to the city and at least handle several UL rods before I pull the trigger on one. They had the St Croix Panfish rods where I went, and several nice Shimano UL rods. I ended up going with the Shimano Convergeance 6' UL. I liked the handle on that better than the St Croix, and I like the fact it was cheaper LOL. Paired it with a 1000 size Shimano Sedona, and since they didn't have either of the lines I wanted (Red Label FC, and 4lb Power Pro) I went with 4lb green Berkley Nanofil, and 4lb Stren fluorocast for leaders. Also picked up some chatter baits, SK swimbait jig heads, and VMC wacky jigs, and another jar of 1" Gulp! minnows.
New fuel hose because ethanol sucks, .223, .308, 30-06 reloading dies
Finally gone for broke and bought a Lew's Team Lews Pro reel in 6.4:1. Got it for 239...60 bucks less than retail.
Ordered it monday, it should be to the house either sat or monday i hope.
I hope it lives up to the hype.
Pop max in glitter blood. Can't wait to try it out
I just ordered 6 Smithwick Rogue Perfect 10's from Cabelas. Cant wait to get them and fish them
Bought some Popeye's Fried Chicken and Cajun fries. Now that's good eatin'.
I went on Fishingtackleoutlet.com last night and bought ever color Senko they had. 190 bucks worth. Cheapest place I have found for them. Also have some wave worms and Zoom on sale cheap too
Also went on Alixpress.com and am looking at reels. Non name brand but really nice reels for 20-40 bucks.
$190 worth of senkos? Holy smokes, take a lifetime to use
grabbed some sickfish, tubes and a couple silent stalker 6XDs the other day
this morning I grabbed some seaguar flouro. I thought I had enough to spool sll my reels but it turns out I need another 200 or so yds lol...i had less on hand than I though or my wife tossed one of my spools...
Not today but a couple days ago I ordered two packs of sickfish and a Humminbird 561 DI fishfinder.
It'll be my first fishfinder (was always a member of the bank beater club before) so I can't wait to get it setup and put it to some use.
I wasn't planning on getting a ff but it is kind of an end of tax season gift to myself and now I'll be able to get off the banks during the hot days of summer.
2 3/8 jigs
2 1/2 jigs
Rage chunks
Two XCalibur Zell Pop Xz3
I finally pulled the trigger on my first Loomis (off shelf have a custom Loomis Flipping Stick), a GLX 853, I was originally going to nab the 893 but I didn't think I need one longer than 7' for now. I also got a discontinued Cumara 6'9" MH/XF and I was set to buy the discontinued Cumara flipping stick until I was recommended the Fenwick Aetos 7'6" H/XF. It felt better in store and felt just as sensitive as the Cumara. So I said wth, lets go for it. I got them all below retail, $30 off GLX, $20 off Aetos and $70 off Cumara. No more rods for awhile!
ill post a pic if i can tomorrow. making an hour drive to the Scheels in springfield, illinois. Having a Fish Fest and its going to be a bad day for my checking account. Jason quinn is suppose to be there so hopefully it will be a interesting event! Anything that you guys think are absolute pick ups so far this year?

Went to an outfitter and bought some soft plastics and a spinnerbait box. That should have been enough but I went to the annual sportsman's show later today (well, Friday) and bought some spinnerbaits and some odd jig heads the guy at the booth called "jig flies". Never seen them before so I figured I'd buy a couple and see how they pan out this summer. Web site for those jig flies is here if anyone is curious.
Didn't need any of it...sigh.
Oh, and joined our new local chapter of BASS complete with tourneys. Can't wait to finally tournament fish!

eBay. I agree on mag only brakes, but I can live with them. This one is a 5.4, I'll try it for deep cranks, I don't know if thats really it's strong suit, but I wasn't gonna pass at that price. I've also seen other Lews reels going cheap lately there.

Had a $10 off $25 coupon for Dick's so I picked up a spool of sufix 832 for my new lew's and a tube of megastrike for $20. Stopped by BPS afterwards and got a few packs of sick fish since they were on sale along with a couple of the rapala scatter rap and a red eye shad to replace the one I lost.

It wwould do well with A rigs, big swim baits,... if i got one (which i didnt even NEED the one i just got) it would be a 7:1 for jigs and pitchin. Yours will do well for cranks, but as i get older and smarter ive found that anything im going to be making alot of long casts with needs centrifigul or dual brakes...it makes life so much easier and is not as finicky as mag brakes. But i have the reg speed spool reel with mag brakes and while it is a finicky, once you take the time and about a dozen casts and dial it in, its is awesome.
Clean and service it when you get it, the last several Lews reels i got, were over lubed and greased when i got them (new). Once i cleaned and relubed and greased them, i was able to get alot more distance and smoothness.
Got some megastrike. Can't wait to try it out.
Just nabbed a 7'1 MH *** *** Black from TW.

I have several. More than I will ever loose!
I ordered a subscription to Bass Master Magazine a month or 2 ago and I was automatically enrolled in B.A.S.S. Today when I got home from work, there was a little packet sitting on the table with a B.A.S.S. patch, a couple stickers and a little tackle bag. I'm thinking the bag is just the right size to hold all my soft plastics. That would free up more room in my larger bag for more hard baits but then I'd have to carry 2 bags. I dunno. I'll have to think on it. Either way free stuff is always cool.

I finally went out and bought the vinyl mat to stick inside my plano boxes. Thanks for the tip Gene.
I then proceeded to "test" it out by throwing my tackle around the house.
It works. However, it garnered some strange looks from my kids and our cat.
I was able to find a like-new Dobyns DX745 FH on an online flea market at a very fair price.

Nope, I like it, I like it better than any other fluoro I have ever used. I am using it in every size from 8-20lb, just as leader material, I use braid as mainline on all my rods. Last year I used a few sizes of it while using up my supply of Vanish and Trilene 100% fluoro. That fish in my avatar, a 6-10, dozens of 5+lb fish, and a handful of other 6's were caught last year using Red Label. Some in nasty/heavy cover with the big sticks, and it never let me down. For $12ish a spool, I can't think of any better bang for the buck in fluoro. I am sure Tatsu is better, I have tried Abrazx..........mehhh....I didn't find it any better for the extra cost over RL. Maybe if I was filling my reels up, and using fluoro as a main line I'd go with the higher priced stuff.
Group 29 battery
2 19" cables
Battery box
2 packs SK dream shot worms
Got a few samples of powerteam lures from my local shop. Gave me a few 7" tickler worms,3.6 hammer shads and a 4.8 swinging hammer shad
Well, after spending $50+ on umbrella rigs this morning at TW, I return from a decent fishing trip and find a couple birthday cards had come in the mail with a $50 worth of BPS gift cards.......so............I bulked up my stock of BPS exclusive colors of SK 5xd, and 6xd silent cranks.
Ordered some of the VMC rugby jigs to try out.
Outkast pro swim-jig.
Some random hooks and such.
and figured i would grab some Abrazx to try.
Ive made it known im a braid/ floro guy, but i finally bought a spool of YO ZURI HYBRID, in 6lb test. Gonna try it on a spinning outfit and for leaders. Im gonna see what all the fuss is about.

Wally World had Luck E Strike STX's on sale for $5 a pop, so I bought a few more of those. Work great in this area. Also ordered another Loomis NRX 873CRR. My blue one is not aging well so figured I'd give the greenie a try, hoping the glossier finish will resist the C-rig weight abuse better.
Lucky Craft Sammy 100 Aurora Black
Lucky Craft Sammy 100 Aurora Green Perch
Lucky Craft Sammy 100 Crack Black

Bought a couple of Rapala cranks (they had a decent sale at my local outfitter so what the heck...and got a free t-shirt) and a new St. Croix fly rod and reel for trout and bass, a few bass flies.
Only went to look...
Nuthin much at all. I was running errands and Dicks was in my path.

Last week I was at Walmart and there was a $1.50 bin full of Hula Poppers, Lazy Ikes and small Strike King and Rebel crankbaits and other old classics. I half filled a shopping bag.
Yesterday I received a package from BPS. 6 packs of Rage Thumpers, three 7" and three 10". 4 packs of Berkley Havoc Sick Fish and 2 packs of Sick Fish Jr and 2 packs of Zoom Tiny Flukes.
Got two Abu Vendetta Rods. 6'9" ML Spinning and one 7' M casting. A few weeks ago i got 3 Jackall Giron's for $3 each. 1 is a sinking, 2 are floating. I can't find anything anywhere about a floating Giron. They dont have the BBs in it that the sinking ones have. I tried one the other day. its wicked. It floats on its side just like a dead/dying baitfish. It walks the dog pretty rad too.
Returned a scale I got for my birthday....Sooo the old lady while buying presents signed me up for a dicks card and I got a 10 off 25 coupon. Got my 3yr a spiderman tackle box, some crappie nibbles for the boys to catch panfish, a beetle spin becuase he wanted his own lure, I got off easy my oldest son wasn't with me . For me I got a pack of 2/0 and 3/0 EWG gammies and some baby brush hogs, green pumpkin gold flake. Threw them on a Jika Rig, first time using, and was impressed.......I also got a rod rack, Koppers Livetarget field mouse, a small countdown down in hot minnow (which is his size - smart fella he is) and a rebel pop-r frog edition in the yellow/white pearl belly for my Bday, wife let my oldest pick the lures out for me. I am please he did a good job, I taught him well.

I love Siebert jigs. They're all I fish. Sadly, I haven't been fishing much in the past year or so, but hopefully this year I can reverse that trend.

Today I just bought two used Chronarch 50MGs for $300. With all the rave reviews decided it was time to get one, but luck would have it the guy had two. Now what to put them on....hrmmm.

6'8" MH/Fast Shimano Clarus Spinning rod for skipping docks. I DID buy a new 6'3" M/XF St Croix eyecon spinning rod this winter for that purpose, but it snapped like a twig on the first fish I caught with it this year. No worries......I know St Croix will stand behind it, I have used there warranty service many time......( I am a rod killer), but I wanted a new rod NOW. LOL Besides, in the last 4 years, I have broken my dock skipping spinning rod every single year, time to try Shimano and there lifetime over the counter warranty. When I send the broken Eyecon back to Croix, I'll gold star/upgrade it to something else (if I like the Shimano for this application).
Saw the video on the Mojo Rig and well ... I bought the slip sinker kit from the Mojo Bait Company.
an old boat
Was using a Pfluegar Trion GX7 4720 on my UL setup. Was having an issue with the line being like a corkscrew while laying on the water, tired several different line all with the same issue, mono. Decided the other night to try a little bigger real so I went to BP and bought a Pluegar President 6925, used the same line as I had on the GX7 20 and it was fine this time.
Pluegar President 6925
2 small safety pin spinners
4 inline spinners 1/8 & 1/4 oz 2 ea
I went to Walmart and they have a bunch of hard and soft plastics in the bargain box. All were for $2.50 each. They all seem to be eigther Bombers or Creek Chubs. All the lures in there are for saltwater or saltwater versions of a originally freshwater plug I assume. Picked two bomber 15a's, one is all white and the other is an interesting choice of green. Got a creek chub too with a pink reddish head and vanilla colored body.
Got a few things on Clearance in Wally world along with a new battery charger.

Staying on the Wal-Mart Topic for a minute ... I found a closeout box in the fishing section of one in my area this week. They seem to place them on the very bottom shelf where the lures and softs are located. Anyway, was full of YUM products that were, in most cases, /2 price off retail and all in perfectly good shape. Not sure why the discount was being offered. Perhaps Wal-mart will not carry them in future. Nonetheless, be sure to check your local store for closeouts ... I was able to to get a some great backup baits at a very good price.

Just moved back home to Florida last week and noticed when I moved in, the neighbor had a nice Flats boat in the driveway. Well we finally met today and he is taking me out for some reds next week. Stoked!
So I went and picked up a Penn Battle 3000 reel and a Penn Battle 7' rod, 30lb braid, 25lb test floro leader, some 1/4 jig heads, and some swim baits in a supposed "Redfish producing colors". Also picked up 2 Guy Harvey T's. On the fresh water tip, Smokin Roosters, 4 packs of 4/0 Gama Superline EWG hooks, and a Texas Shad KVD 2.5

Nice, picking up a used Battle 3000 for a good deal tomorrow. I have to keep my salt tackle gear up to snuff too lol. I have success with DOA stuff when it comes to the inshore fish, hell even bass will bite DOA shrimp. Good luck on your trip!

Thats what I got. 2 packs of DOA swim baits in Golden Brim color. Supposedly this is THE color for Reds in the area.
Bought another Midnight Special spinnerbait. Took the last one out for the first time last night to try it out and lost it right before I was planning to leave. Also bought a Rat-L-Trap and picked up a chartreuse Strike King buzzbait and a new multi-tool for the wife's tacklebag.
Bought a mod pack of jigs from Sibertoutdoors.com today, those should come in handy.
Just ordered from BassPro 4 Booyah Popping Pod Crashers, and 4 Booyah Pod Crashers Jr, one in every color thay make :-)
Went to 2 new ponds today. They were about an hour away in an area that I didn't really know and on the way to the second one, we drove past a Gander Mountain that I didn't know existed. I've been to BPS before but never Gander Mountain. It wasn't quite as nice as BPS and didn't have as big a selection but it was nice enough. Still a trip to an oversized tackle store so it was a good experience. Here's what I bought:
SK Red Eye Shad in Green Tomato
Jitterbug in Black
Scatter Rap Shad in Bleak
Scatter Rap Crank in Blue Back Herring
Terminator Pro Series Jig in Blue
1 Pack Berkley Havoc Pit Boss in Sapphire Blue
1 Pack Rage Tail Thumper in Red Bug
Owner 4/0 Offset Worm Hooks
Fishouflage hat in Bass Pattern
Found a great deal from a fellow BR member on an AVID 6'8MXF spinning rod and a Crucial casting rod
Just bought 3 Bomber Square Bills, 1 Robo Worm 4 1/2" Aaron's Magic Green, SK Super Fluke Houdini, SK Super Fluke White Ice and my first package of SK 1/4 Tungsten bullet weights.
But I have to now buy another River 2 Sea Spinnerbait in White/Cht as a big pike took off with it today. He must've been in the 30-40" range, I just threw out my remaining Berkley Vanish Floro because I used it as a leader and the knot slipped. That is it for me, can't handle it anymore. Biggest regret on paying for the crap. I have had no issues with P Line or Mono leaders ever. 2nd time for me the knot slipped, first time thought it was me, this time it can't be coincidence. Another DON'T BUY THIS!
Bought my first Loomis - MBR783 GLX.
Smithwick Perfect 10
Sufix Elite Mono 10lb. Clear
Two Heddon Super Spook Jr's

On my way back from the Rolling Stones concert in Toronto I stopped off at the Bass Pro just outside of the city and bought some of those scatter rap Rapalas -- some crankbaits, minnows and countdowns -- plus some plastics (Havoc Pit Bosses and some 4" Senkos), some flies and poppers in the fly shop...it was actually a surprisingly inexpensive day (well, relatively speaking).

I bought 4 Bomber Square Bills on clearance at Sail and 4 XCalibur Lipless cranks. Bought them all for 27 bucks, were on clearance for 3 bucks a piece.
Local Wal-Mart had Abu Garcia Vendetta gen.1 rods on clearance for $30. I have been wanting a something a little shorter than my 7' Avid "in the cone" drop shot rod, it's not something I do often so for $30 ................why not. Now I will have to get an Abu spinning reel, my OCD will NOT let me slap one of my Shimano's on it. LOL

I was thinking of grabbing one too, local retail store has them on sale for 49 though. If it were 30 I probably would've jumped all over it. I probably will still buy one as I'm in the market for a dedicated spinnerbait rod. It's funny about your OCD. I refused to put my Shimanos on my lone Daiwa T Rod..lol
thanks and that was my lure money for the year.
I got 2 packs of VMC Fastgrip WG 4/0 hooks Gander had them $1.97/pk so decided to try them out on palm trees and hydras.

All the first generation Vendetta's they have left are marked down to $30. Selection is getting low though. The on I bought was the last 6'9" ML spinning rod, they still had a couple of 7' MH, and 6'6" M spinning rods, and a few 6'6", and 7' M casting rods.

Great price!!! I bought a hula popper a few minutes ago. I was using one Saturday and the bass were just killing it. Great old school top water lure.
I also bought a Booyah Poppin Pad Crasher and a Heddon Baby Lucky 13 (Red Head). Can you tell I like top water fishing?
Went out of town with the fiance. For some reason they carry blue craw and falcon craw rage chunks which are the two i use more than any. Christmas came early. Had a buy 3 get 1 free. I bought all the blue craw and 4 falcons.
Went to country kitchen because ours closed down and it was on the way home. Found a fly in my lettuce that thankfully wasnt on my spicy chicken sandwich. Our food wss free.
Got 4 Daiwa SP Minnows and some hand crafted plugs...
A-Jay
Stopped by a Dicks on the way back home from Oregon and picked up some Outlaw Baits Gitter Tubes on a mark down. The colors were actually good. Reg. 4.99 for 1.93, not bad. They had some Terminator spinnerbaits like A-Jay bought for 49 cents each. I bought all 17 of them. Same color too. Who'd a thunk it?
I finally upgraded my spinning gear (well, one for now):
I just got the rod today and was only able to cast a couple, but it casts pretty nice, far and loads up like no rod I've ever had. I kept waiting for my bait to land, but it kept going. Not a lot of feel on a weightless worm that I could tell. But it was windy and I haven't gotten the Invizx spooled up yet. The President, though? WOW. I can see why they are so highly recommended.
Last week I got my order from BPS:
