They'll have a Memorial Day sale I'm pretty sure--not sure if they have an Easter sale.

Bass Pro Shops Spring Fishing Classic starts on the 12th this year. Tacklewarehouse holds a yearly sale on their website in conjunction with the Bassmasters Classic. That sale starts on the 6th this year

-March: Classic sale -- select items
-April: Tax Stimulus sale --10% off
-May: Memorial day sale-- 15% off, with additional military discount
-July: Independence day sale -- 10% off
-Sept: Labor day sale -- 15% off
-Nov: Black friday -- 20% off
-Dec: 25 days of savings - select items + 10% off gift cards

Tackle warehouse should just make an ad banner that this list on it. This topic recurs about 100 times a year.

Weeelllll crap. For some reason I had it in my head the Classic sale was a 15% off across the board deal. There goes my dream of a Shimano filled order! LOL

I don't think the classic sale is a %off all items deal, at least I don't remember it being that way. 15% across the board is a lot, though, and you almost certainly have to wait for Memorial or Labor day for that. But they'll probably have some bigger discounts on fewer things for the Classic.
The optimal strategy is to buy a gift card in December at -10%, and wait 11 months until Black Friday to redeem the code. The longest I've ever made it is the Memorial day sale.

You don't have to wait. You can buy it and literally turn around and use it 5 minutes later and get that 10% off.

Yep. Gift cards go on sale during the 25 Days sale, after Black Friday.

There will be a list of companies not included in the sale. It was explained to me due to agreements with the company, TW has to not list them in the sale, but when you get the emailed invoice, it will reflect the sale. Shimano is one of the companies that is on the list but you’ll get the sale price afterwards on the emailed invoice.
However, there are 3 companies on the list that TW isn’t allowed to discount. Megabass, Humminbird, and the third was a Humminbird affiliated trolling motor (I think it was Minn Kota but I could be wrong on which trolling motor brand it is).
