i saw them last time out the look pricey yet promising with their big oddly shaped tails has any one tried these out especially the space monkey if so tell me how the worked i have to many gimmick baits already like the "magic" banjo minnow :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[
They work great, I have caught quality bass with all of the Rage Tail baits. If you have any questions feel free to send me a PM.
I've pretty much only been using the 10" Anaconda the last couple of outings. The action on this thing is incredible! Been using the tungsten screw-in weights with a 5/0 EWG hook. Colors I've tried so far are pumpkinseed and okeechobee craw I believe they're called. Excellent worms!

That one is taken in VA, but R8GETL is available. :-X
i used some of the anacondas and they didnt work properly for me. but i found out it was because my friend had ripped the tail a bit.
but i really like the chunk and the space monkeys
They definitely aren't a gimmick. They are the real deal. I'm not saying they are the best thing that has ever come along but they are a great brand of bait that continue to get better with each new release.
I use a lot of the rage tail baits an have compared them to others.
they have the best movement out of any that I have thrown. From suttle twitches that the flow of water, to the twitching of the rod.
Heck there are time where I just get mesmerized ( I think I spelled it right) by there movement. Talk about creating an aggressive strike.
give them a try an be the judge for yourself.

I bought a couple packages of the toads for this year. I hope they work!

Rage tail Frogs and shads are deadly at dawn and dusk
The Rage Craw has also been a huge producer for all of our Pros since it came out....so I think it should get a big O Yahoo from me

I have fished several of the Rage Tail baits and you will not be
disappointed. The Shad may make you give up your buzzbaits,
but they really shine in thick cover. The 10" Ananconda has been
a big bass lure for me. The Craws and Chunks are durable and
have great action. I haven't fished the Toad yet, but I will!

I've only tried the Shad but I'm with you. I'm starting to prefer it over my buzzbaits in a lot of situations. I'm buying some frogs and craws this week so I can't wait to see the results with them.

I love the Rage Tail baits. The only thing I have an issue with is the durability of the craws. I'm constantly losing the pinchers, they just pop off too easily. Anybody else experience this?
Well, I don't know. As a long-time GYCB fan,
Rage Tail plastic seems pretty robust to me!
I use the shads when I want to fish a buzzbait but the area has floating weed cover.
I use the craws t-rigged and as jig trailers (when I want a ton of action). I also bought some chunks, but won't buy anymore of them because if I want to use a chunk I'll just pinch off most of the body of the craw.
I just bought a few packs of the Anaconda and Lizard so I'm not sure how those work.

They're not going to be as durable as a typical chunk trailer, but then they're different than a typical chunk. I don't find the rage tails to be any less durable than say a paca chunk. If you want a ton of action then you're going to have to sacrifice some durability.
Do ya'll fish these just at dawn and dusk or have you caught with them all day?
If you want a large presentation with a little more durability, try using the lobsters. The claws are a little bit thicker where they attach to the body. I personally prefer using the lobsters over the craws and I use them tx rigged.
Durability in high action soft plastics is like walking a tight rope. For a bait to be superior in providing an attractive action with the slightest movement of the Rod tip or on the fall with the lightest weights or jigs, many things are taken into consideration. After this action is achieved, then the durability factor is applied to attain maximum durability without sacrificing the action quality. Once this is achieved, then I take into consideration of how to guarantee the finest action and durability with every individual bait. Thru the clamshell packaging and individual hand placement of each bait, this is attained.
These were my objectives during the design phase of Rage Craws and Chunks and I believe that no other product on the market matches or is superior to them in any of the above mentioned areas....of course I might be just a little bit Biased....Naaaah ;D

I have white toad and the green and black and i love them in lilly pads and around heavy vegitation there deadly.

Well given that they've got topwater and bottom baits I fish them all day long. Also, I fish the shad all day through any floating vegetation, particularly if that vegetation has open areas in it.
Thanks for all the replies regarding my concerns on durability. Your explanations make sense.
The bottom line is that the craws catch fish, so I will continue to use them regardless of how long they last. I may even pick up a pack of lobsters if I can find 'em locally.

Daniel, you can fish the SpaceMonkey in similar ways to the craw and some...A bit longer too.

GMAN...it is a custom designed plastisol and I am happy with the overall action and durability properties it provides...
