I want know some tackle box essentials, whether it be baits to tools to anything else a fishermen should keep in a tackle box. Thank you!
Mutli-tool enough said lol but usually a lot of bullet weights, line, pair of clippers, lots of gama hooks, etc etc before all the plastics and hard baits
What was said above with:
Small first aid kit
Scissors
Lighter
Scale
Golden rule
Ahhh golden rule and scale are good ones I forgot. Really should have a small first aid kit but usually don't have one with me lol
Some band aids and a backup pair of glasses ibuprofen
For those of us that do a lot of bank fishing...it is essential to keep it light hahaha
You need a good pair of line clippers. They need to be able to cut line with 1 snip. This is so important and I think a lot of anglers forget about it. I like the Boomerang tool. I hang it off of my tackle box or around my neck. This tool is small, compact and does not get in the way. I love mine and best of all they are not very expensive.

Soon as you get a boat everything will change lol tons more stuff lol plus you can just fish any body of water a lot better and easier. I started really small a tiny Jon boat and I'm not a small guy lol so yeah it sucked but I had so much fun. Now I got a little bigger Jon that I converted into a bass boat myself. Next year I'll probably upgrade again. To many benefits fishing from a boat not to get one and to many memories made from mine
hook sharpener...

If any of your equipment uses fuses, make sure to have extra fuses.
I agree with Green Trout about the Boomerang. It is a great little tool.
Ibuprofen is one that I overlooked for a while. Those bright sunny days can wreak havoc on your eyes causing headaches which are not fun to fish with. ESPECIALLY if the wife has one.
Some noise making device-whether it be an air horn, whistle, etc. Just something to get others' attention if something were to go badly.
I always have a flashlight and/or headlight on me as well.
These come to mind without checking my bag....
Line and lure
Scent
Dye
Pliers
Scissors
Cull clips
File
Clippers
Rejuvenate
Small flashlight
First aid kit
Extra glasses (reading or otherwise)
Buff

Reel oil/grease
Chap stick

Umbrella hat
Bear Spray

Leatherman Wave or Charge they have Pliers , knife , screwdrivers , saw and a "diamond" file for sharpening hooks. I even sharpened the eyeglass screwdriver to a point , to break the paint out of jighead eyes.
Keep an eye out for clearance sales and stockpile jig heads , hooks , weights...
Those spring hook keepers are valuable as are DOA pinch weights. I can make my own swim bait hook on the water with these .
I'm going bass fishing this sunday with one of my friends. Can someone name some tackel I should definitely buy? What hooks and sizes, baits, weights? Anything like that to get me started. Thanks!
What do you already have? What's your budget?

G-Man has made them famous!
For me I have learned the hard way to always carry a small box with extra terminal tackle like snaps, split rings, extra hooks, etc. Also when on a trip a rod tip repair kit is invaluable, have only used it twice, but glad I had it.
As far as baits always carry a box with tubes and 4 and 5" grubs, because they flat out catch em anywhere.
braid cutters, pliers, hook remover, lots of terminal tackle, extra reel in your bag spooled with mono in case of bad luck, and scent...People always ask to borrow my scent, cutters and also make sure to have a rag or towel to keep hands clean so you don't stain close, boat etc...Also always keep ibuprofren if you get headaches or migraines, and plenty of drinks and food. Also bug spray in case you stay late, or at least a cigar to put in sand if on shore to keep bugs away...
Depending on the time of year sunscreen and a good hat are required.

You never know when you'll come across an old fart like me with an Owner 5/0 stuck to the back of my favorite fishin pants.
Think big...Bring a Gaf just in case a 25 takes a swipe and you are not sure if you can swing it....

25# fish? Only if the intent is to keep the fish. No reason to harm a fish that's going to be released, I'd cut the line or break it off.
In the ocean that's a good possibility, but freshwater fishing in Florida not too much. You may hook into a 25# freshwater snook or tarpon, one is over slot one the other illegal to possess. A big jack is possible but again why harm it with a gaff.
