Well, How do you organize your tackle? Box, Trays, Binders? what works for you? Post a Pic if you can.

I'll start, A plano 4 tray bag, Discontinued, ON sale at dicks, For 8 dollars, Uses 3650 trays, A tray of terminal tackle, And a tray of hard lures, Then two trays of soft plastics I have a picture below

From left: Nail Clippers on lanyard, Fishing knot Diagrams, Stringer, Pliers, P-Line Flouroclear 12LB. And the tackle bag, of course. And This will of course continue to GROW!!!

All goes into a Flambeau AZ8 or milk crate. I also have two more FTO bads for plastics.

Left to Right: Med-Heavy with 40lb braid and a tank of an old reel, Med with 8lb mono, light with 4lb mono

bag of extra floaters and stops

Left to right: stringer, 3ft measuring tape, split ring pliers, artery clamps, pocket knife, duct tape, golf towel

Bottom box: lipless crankbaits, spinners, chatterbaits, buzzbait, poppers, topwaters

Middle box: Crank baits

Top: Things that don't catch fish alone (jigs, hooks, weights, bobbers, split rings, swivels etc.

Small box: Jig setups and a couple frogs

going up: Gulp Corn, Spawn Sacs, extra line, plastics, preserved minnows (not a big fan - but you never know)

Gallon size zip-locks

The rods come apart except the med-heavy, which I carry. Everything fits into the backpack with some room to spare and I can take everything anywhere. I live about a mile from the erie canal so I ride my bike there sometimes with a smaller set of equipment and only the middle rod

I carry 23 setups from 5' ultra to 8'6" FnF. I keep my baits in 3600 boxes and carry about 20 of them[.

Start with a little fishing room off the garage.

Rod racks, shelving and peg boards for storage.

Most baits and in original packages, organized in

Plano boxes. Hard packaged baits (Rage Tail)

displayed on shelving and MegaStrike bubble packs

(Shake2, Cavitrons and spinnerbaits) hung on

the peg board. Jigs and trailers have a separate

cabinet.

Number 2 is a BPS 3600 Soft Bag. This stores

everything I would take on a trip, but may never

get out of the truck.

Number 3, a hard tackle box with most of my

reserve crankbaits, line and tools.

Number 4, G.Loomis "worm bag". Each leaf holds

a class of bait/ lures that I take on the boat. This

is more than I would ever use in a day.

Number 5, Cabela's Safarie Vest for everything

I actually "need". Knife, needle nose pliers and

Gerber tool carried on my belt.

Number 6, I also carry a Man Bag for scales, camera,

suntan lotion, gloves, rain gear and extra smokes.

So, by organizing in the fashion of a pyramid,

I have what I think I might really need with

everything else readily available.

"A place for everything and everything in its place".

I have a BPS Extreme Stalker Backpack, which I use for both bank fishing and when I co-angle. Holds everything I need in one thing.

It holds 8 3600 series Plano boxes.

1 Plano 3614 - Hold about 25 Jigs

4 Plano 3650 - Cranks, Swimbaits, Senko/Fat Ika, Jerkbaits/Shallow

3 BPS 360 - Finesse Worms/ Brush Hogs, Frogs/Chatterbaits, Topwater

There are four side pockets, one hold my lunch, one holds my jig trailers, one holds my bigger swimbaits, one hold my rain suit when I need it, if not it holds my pliers, scale, flashlight, small firstaid kit, megastrike, sunscreen, and bug lotion.

The back slot hold a small plano box for terminal tackle. The flap underside hold my Reaction Innovation Sweet Beavers. It also has two beverage holders and a sunglass case attached.

I have a Cabela's Binder system which holds my Spinnerbaits and Buzzbaits.

I have "the store" -a couple large tackle boxes, and many smaller ones from which I dip from, into plastic boxes of various sizes. I keep these boxes as to lure type and/or presentation method. I'm anal about how they are maintained. If I get sloppy I end up paying for it.

I fish two ways now: from shore, and from a float tube. I have duplicate boxes for each lure type/presentation method I might be using. These stay ready to rock an roll so I can grab and go. Time is precious. If I didn't duplicate, I'd forget something useful when I switched!

Things change seasonally and with the waters I decide to fish on a given outing. I dip into the store to cover the bases I need for that outing.

I picked up a Berkley bag at Cabela's for $15, it holds 4 360 boxes. I have one of the boxes full of terminal tackle, one with topwater and jerkbaits, one with cranks and swimbaits, and one with jigs. I also carry a soft plastic binder stuffed as full as I can get it. All that and 2 or 3 combos depending on where I'm fishing.

I bought the Plano 777, mainly because all the bait boxes are removable. Being that I don't yet own my own boat, I needed a box to take on anyone elses, but I can also take them out of the box and put them in a backpack for shore fishing.

I keep my hard baits in the plastic boxes everyone uses, but I'm trying a new system with my plastics. Most of the plastics I use have scent on them, and if I just put them in regular plastic boxes they lose some of their scent. I have gotten rid of all the boxes for plastics and put the packages into freezer bags by categories. When I fish in someone else s boat I take the bags I'll be using on that body of water and put them into a duffel bag.

I keep everything seperated. I am fanatical about it. I have Creatures in one, frogs in one, Chunks in one, worms in one, craws and craw trailers in one, jigs in one, hard minnow lures in one, shallow cranks in one, deep cranks in one, and terminal tackle in one. I have a small box you can see on the bottom left that I carry by itself sometimes and it just has 1-2 luires of each type i plan on using that trip. My fishing backpack carries 6 boxes, but I generally carry 5 at the most, knowing before hand what I might or might not use. I dont have enough room to keep lures that dont work for me and so I don't take them unless they have been proven to work for me on the waters that I fish. I will generally carry one bag of something that I have not had success with, and try that while Im out fishing. If it lands something, I find a spot to place it in one of the boxes, if it produces nothing then it goes back to the tub and will be given another shot later. The lures that aren't in boxes and are lying next to the boxes are lures that have not produced for me yet. The money minnow has produced for me though, I just keep them in their own package.

I carry my plano boxes in 2 tackle bags. I also have random packs of soft plastics.

Here are my boxes

-structure fishing box-big spoons, bottom bouncing swimbaits, football jigs, ect.

-shallow crankbait box-baits that dive 5ft or less

-medium crankbait box-baits that dive 5-10ft

-deep divers-10ft +

-standard texas rig box-worms and lizards

-flippin plastics box-various creature baits, big tubes ect.

-falcon spinnerbait box

-falcon spinnerbait/buzzbait box-contains small spinnerbaits and buzzbaits

-falcon terminal tackle box

-Big swimbait box-for big swimbaits over 3oz

-medium swimbait box-for swimbaits 1-3oz

-small swimbait box-swimbaits I can throw on standard tackle

-finesse box-small worms, craws, tubes, ect

-jig box-one side flipping jigs one side casting jigs

-suspending jerkbait box

-a small floating jerkbait box

-topwater box

-small frog box

-chatterbait box

-fluke, floating worm, senko box

-creekbox-really small plastics for fishing creeks

-a small swimming jig box

And I keep extra baits that wont fit in these boxes in extra tackleboxes and on a peg board. The ones I add and subtract alot stay on the peg board.

My thoughtfully crafted tackle management system lasted 2 trips, now it is disorganized again. I'm going to a new system now. I'm going to throw all the stuff in the boat and try to remember where I threw it. So, should I need something in particular, I should probably find it. Should I go more than 3 minutes looking and not finding something, that is god telling me that I probably didn't need that and to try something else.

I am a teacher and literally spent an entire Christmas break one year getting things in order. I labeled the bottom of each slot in the box with the weights, colors, depths, etc. of each lure. It was a great system . . . but what I forgot was that I had about a dozen lures that were tied onto the rods in the garage. So when those lures came off the rods they had nowhere to go. That ended my days of trying to have a certain spot for everything.

My tournament Box is the only thing that really gets organized the rest goes on the peg board or in the rubbermaid bins, then I have 3 bags I use for different stuff. The Tournamet Box only goes out to tournaments... So i have a habbit of buying two of everything
