right now im using a 10" craftsman tool bag that i got in a combo at work (sears) with a clear plano box with my hooks and such in there with my bags of worms and tools. while it does work , its just not organized. im just wondering what everyone else uses. links would be a plus.

i still have never found a bag/box i liked, i think i am going to start going with my plano boxes for hard stuff and put my plastics in zip lock bags, and chunk it all in a back pack

It has enough room for what I have now love all the side compartments, the only thing i don't like is the shoulder strap doesn't stay on so it does get kinda heavy when you have a good distance to walk to get to the water. I think i got it for like $35, definately worth it I'd say

i was looking for a box , but i never really like the construction of any of the ones ive seen. i really need to get to BPS to check out their bags in person...

I have one of these, and the smaller (Model T800) red one. The real problem is that they are both really heavy loaded with stuff. In the boat, its no big deal but When I'm walking the banks for river smallies, I go for something smaller

When I am on shore, I carry this little guy with me, throw the strap over my head and go. Holds quite a bit of stuff yet is nice and comfortable to carry all day.

I've got one quite similar to this one, except it's made by Okeechobee Fats. Can't seem to find it online anywhere right now, but I got it at Wal-mart for $10, not sure if that price was correct, but I love it! It's perfect for shore fishing at least... It holds 2 Plano size boxes and all my bags of plastics in the main compartment. The two side pockets I use for my camera, scale, bags of hooks, etc, while I use the front pocket to hold a few spinnerbaits and buzzbaits, along with my pliers and caplight. There's also a netted pocket in the back that I keep 2 small spools of line in.

I really think this bag is a very good deal if you're looking for something to carry with you while shore fishing. The shoulder straps seem sturdy and it makes everything much easier not having to use a hand to carry you're tackle box!

Here's a picture I have of it, not very good though.

I have a canvas bag very similar to the one above. I put my plastics on both side pockets and terminal tackle in the front pocket with my tools (pliers, scissors etc.) there is a back compartment where I put my scale. In the main compartment is where I use those plastic boxes to put my cranks, jigs, top waters and so forth. I also use one of those soft CD holders for my spinnerbaits, cheap and very easy to thumb thru to get what I want. This setup works very good for me. I got it as a free throw in with a rod and reel I bought about three years ago.

OcheeChobee Fats, they come in 2 sizes at Wal amrt, the red one has 4 , i would guess 2600 boxes, thats what I strted with and out grew it , It was 19.99 at Wally World and worth every cent

Now I have 3 green one, 6 3700 bags, night ight, sungalss holder, map pouch and takes a beating I do not know what full price is but I got it at clearance 2 years ago in the fall for 25 bucks and it is worth every penny of it

I use a tackle bag because I can easily switch the lures that I am bring by switching out the boxes, depending on what type of lure selection I need. All my boxes are setup with certain lures in them, for example I have one that hold my hooks and weights for soft plastics, one with crankbaits, one with jigs, etc. Of course that this doesn't include the rubbermade box i carry around with me that hold my soft plastics. :

I use the same OcheeChobee Fats bag that Muddy and slomoe uses. It holds most of my tackle but its mainly my boat bag (it weighs around 50lbs). My only complaint about the bag is the zippers aren't the greatest. The plastic piece on the handle needs to be cut off and sown on (I used 30lb Spiderwire Stealth and haven't had any issues with that! LOL!). For shore fishing, I have a cheap backpack that I picked up at Wally World. It holds 3 3700 boxes with room for some plastics and my scale and tape measure.

I bought a Bill Dance bag from Bass Pro catalog for $29.99.

It came with 6 370's. No longer for sale. Must have been a one time shot. Only negative is boxes fit in bag the long way and any plastics push to the bottom of the compartment and tend to bend or kink. Am looking for 370 size boxes with compartments going front to back.

Replaced my BPS exteme 370 that served me well for 10 years.

Until recently I have used a Flambeau hard tackle box with the tool racks on the side. That box was great but I hated having to switch out my bass stuff for lighter tackle when I went panfishing with my son.

Now I use an All Star tackle bag I got from a free offer when I bought one of their rods. It has space for standard utility boxes which I can customize for the type of fish I am going for. Now all I have to do is swap out the utility boxes when needed.

I have one of the cabelas bags. it holds 12 3700 boxes and 2 3600 boxes on each side. plus i carry a spinnerbait/buzzbait box seperate and a small shimano tackle bag just for soft plastics. only downside it probally weighs over 80 pounds.

I like the Cabelas Storm Proof bags. They work great at keeping water out, but it also holds water too, if you let it open when its raining. Learned this the hard way. ;D

) i looked around and i think you can't beat this deal for this good of a bag . sorry to sound like a salesman , but this is one deal i got to pass along ..........

i like the Okeechobee Fats bags as well. good price for a tackle bag. I've got the large green one and the smaller blue one. I use one for all my hard baits, spinnerbaits, jigs and such, and the smaller one holds my plastics which i bag according to type.

When i'm fishing from shore i just use the little one and put what i need for the day in it

so it seems like almost everyone prefers bags. i guess i may just keep doing my own thing with the tool bag unless i come across something i like on clearance.

btw , im lovin' the kayak J Francho. i actually plan on getting one when i move to NC. probably a malibu mini-x or something similar in size.

I have the BPS Extreme 360 Qualifier Bag as well as the Falcon V6 bag(just got it on sale at our local Cabelas $40 off with boxes) and the BPS Extreme Qualifier Double Sided worm bag. Everything I could possibly need.

I am using an H2O Express bag I got at a tackle show on clearance for $8. It's like $40 at academy so I picked it up. I replaced all the boxes that came with the bag with Falcon FTO boxes. I use the old boxes to store extra tackle I don't need at the moment. If you could find that bag for a good price I highly recommend it. I wouldn't pay $40 for it though, I would probably get a Falcon speed bag if I was gonna spend that much money.

I use a Falcon V6 bag in the boat and a Falcon V12 bag for storage. I also have a green Plano bag that holds 40 bags of soft plastics for storage. I use a Plano Tackle System bag with 4 Plano 3650 boxes for my hooks, sinkers, and other hardware that goes in the boat.

the big one holds three 370 boxes and the small one holds 3 360s. they both also will hold a small 6x4 box inside and the big one will hold one in the outside pocket as well. even with all the boxes they hold about 8 bags of plastics in pockets on the inside. not to mention all the pockets on the outside. they are freaking bulletproof. they are made to carry way worse things than i have in them. ive had them about 2 years now and they still look and perform brand new. they have big strong zippers, double stitched renforced bottoms, stainless hardware, d-rings that i clip my worm binders to, a big tough carry strap and i got them both together in a deal for 25bucks.

i have an ockechobee fats red bag for my saltwater stuff, but they seem poorly made to me and ive been through one already. think i mayy upgrade to a bps qualifier when that one dies.
