What is Your Favorite Shakey Head Worm And Why?

fishing user avatarBluebasser86 reply :

Zoom Trick Worm or a 5" BPS Stick O.

fishing user avatargardnerjigman reply :

Zoom trick worm or Berkley gulp worm. Rarely use gulp anymore though.

fishing user avatarBrianinMD reply :

Zoom Trick/Finesse worm, or Missile Baits Fuse.

fishing user avatarChoporoz reply :

SK Dream Shot and GYCB Kut Tail

fishing user avatarwnspain reply :

Zoom Shakey Head Worm 5" cuz it works - WELL!

fishing user avatarCatt reply :

Roboworm FX Sculpin & FX Straight Tail in M.M. III

Why?

Cause they work. ;)

fishing user avatarstkbassn reply :

Hopefully it turns out to be the Jackall Flick Shake worm, it's the only one I have right now. I have all three sizes and several basic colors to start.  This is my first season actually trying it. When I saw it fished and saw the action in the water I was pretty sold. It catches fish. Now, can I catch fish with it? I guess we'll see! LOL.

I blame Dave Mercer for this. I think it's very cool how his show breaks down the equipment and shows you exactly what set up he was using in detail. He also does a good job of describing what he's using and what it does well, and why.

fishing user avatarjunyer357 reply :

Paca craw. Also use a zoom shakey head worm with curly tail.

I find the Flick Shake worm better for whacky rigging due to curved ends.

fishing user avatarUKCATSBASSER reply :

Paca craw.

Smallie beaver

trick worm

squirrel tail worm

fishing user avatarMunkin reply :

Any straight tailed worm works but my favorite from last year was a Zoom Swamp Crawler. Swamp Crawlers are $4 for a 25 pack and they are softer than other Zoom worms.

fishing user avatarMosster47 reply :

Kickerfish Hightail and it's not even close. They are all I use. Ridiculously productive worm.

fishing user avatarsmallyslayer reply :

Thanks guy I've tried a lot of the baits mentioned and have had sucess on all. I was just wondering what other people like. My personal favorite has to be the kicker fish hightail hole shot with the gambler sweebo or weebo worm as a close second due to the bouncy.

Hags Tornado stands tail up

fishing user avatarMusky_Fever reply :

My brother has been catching bass with Zoom trick worms recently.  Motor oil w/ green tail/tip.  4 inch.  He's out-fished me in the last 3-4 outings and recently took 3rd in a Kayak bass tournament.  And believe me, the lakes around where I'm at are not productive at all and he's been hooking up.

fishing user avatartander reply :

Been throwing Robo worm and Zoom finess worm.

fishing user avatarJG233 reply :

I'm psyched you asked this question. I was wondering what shakey head worms to buy for the spring.

I've heard good things about the zman finesse worm--can anyone speak to that?

fishing user avatarpapajoe222 reply :

Berkley Havoc Bottom Hopper is a stand out (and up)

fishing user avatareverythingthatswims reply :

Nikko Worm (Japanese Company). Flat out fish catching bait. From the nose to the end of the ribbing is an air pocket so it stands straight up and quivers with any line movement. Since when you rig it you pop the hook in one side of the air pocket but not through the other, it's very weedless and doesn't hang up. I fish them IN beaver huts. Made of something similar to elaztech so one bait will last you 30-50 bass, and they are biodegradable.

There aren't any more in stock after I bought most of them at a fishing expo but the website is itsumofishing.com if you wanna try and get your hands on some. Fair warning you won't want to use anything else afterwords.

There are a lot of good suggestions so far, and many that I use too. One that I love that's not mentioned, Confidence Baits floating Bird. Don't let the name fool you, it's finesse sized, floating paddle Tail worm with a subtle profile and action.

Sadly I don't have pics and am not home.

fishing user avatarsmallie.mike reply :

Zoom finesse worm and poor boys drop shot darter

fishing user avatarww2farmer reply :

^^This ^^ !!  ...A real sleeper worm - size wise a cross between a Roboworm thickness and a Zoom Finesse or Trick Worm available in 4.5" & 6" lengths - both are good and cost effective  (Larry Nixon design) .

I like the ZMAN worms. They float well and are very durable. Had good look with them last year.

I use ZMAN Finesse worms, SK Perfect Plastic finesse worms, robo worms, robo worm fats, and zoom trick worms. All work well. I usually use ZMANs when fish are finicky and I am barely moving the worm, the rest I mix up depending on what colors are working at the time and what i happen to have in the bag.

fishing user avatarUKCATSBASSER reply :

Those saying a zoom trick worm in 4 inch. I can only find the standard 6.5 and the magnum. Or does the 4 inch have another name?

fishing user avatarVAfishermen reply :

The four inch are called finesse worms and the 6.5 are trick worms
