Real Senkos just became cheaper than knockoffs! 2025

Ok guys I was sent a product to test and I thought I would share it with you guys. Its a new glue thats out on the market called Mend-it. It is diferent than any other glue. First off it wont stick to your skin. It wont stick to metal. If you put a drop on glass os something it dries into rubber and just peels of the glass, metal, or your boat. Now here is the cool part. It actualy welds soft plastic baits back together. The repair is soft and flexible and NEVER hardens. This stuff is awsome. I went through my boat and found some torn up worms and senkos and swimbaits and repaired them all. You could litteraly fish with 2 worms all day. fix one and fish the other. when it gets torn up put a drop of glue on the tears and it will be as good as new when it dries. You can fish a bait in about 3 minutes but for big repaire like big soft swimbaits they took a little longer. Serously you could just keep reusing the same wroms all day long as long as you didnt loose them. Now I did get this bottle for free but I have no obligation to talk it up. I was just soo impressed. The guy that sent it to me sent out samples to a bunch of people for some feedback. I asked him when and where its going to be availible and he said he already sold out hid first batch and is making more. He said he has about 30 stores and counting everyday. I know one online store that has it but I am nit sure if its cool with Glenn for me to post it. Just given you guys the heads up. you could save alot of money! Sounds good to me! I tried the superglue trick and wasn't impressed. It made the bait hard and crunchy. Will definitely try this though, almost cleaned out my worm box last weekend, glad I held off ! Keed us posted on where to get some Matt

So,...to fish Yamamoto's, I now need

A. O-rings

B. O-ring tool

C. Glue

Nah,....I think I'll stick with the ones that don't require additional purchases to use. 3 different accessories required to get the most expensive plastics to work as well and last as long as the affordable ones. I swear, the baitmonkey and Gary are partners. lol

Not knocking Matt though, passing along info for the GYCB users, kudos.

If it came with the Senko package exclusively for little or no price then that would be a step in becoming cheaper. There's nothing to stop me from using it on cheaper brands like hard nose and tiki sticks.

No you dont those other thing to fish real senkos. As long as you keep the bait you can repair it to be good as new in a couple seconds. This stuff isnt about Senkos, I just used that as a catchy title. It will repair any soft bait. It is a must for swimbaits. You will never need a torch or hot paper clip again.

It is just soo awsome I had to post about it. I have no idea if it will be sold in Europe. Contact the website and ask them, Maybe? I know basstackledepot has some and I was talking to the guys at *** and they should have some real soon .

OK, add "snorkel" to the list,lol. That's the problem, they rip on the cast.

I didn't even know that swimbaits get torn. Now at 15-50 dollars a pop, THAT'S a product I would repair!!

Out of curiosity, where do S/B's tend to tear? The only ones I've used with any consistency are Matt's and I've never had one rip.

Mattlures' Baby Bass tear along the spine (on top) where the hook comes out of the lure and around the nose or face. My last lure's head was nearly missing and the tail torn, too. Just a cast or two before I planned to put it to sleep, it found some rocks to live in and escaped.

I caught some nice fish on the Baby Bass, but I went through three of them much faster than I expected. One of them only stayed with me for one cast! So, I don't think the plastic glue is going to solve any problems for me.

Regarding Yamamoto plastics: I tend to lose them (torn off) before they require repair. If I don't catch any bass, the baits hold up just fine, which isn't eactly what I'm looking for. :

Maybe I could glue 'em before I use 'em!

I'm with RW on glueing a Senko back together. I find that if I keep them rigged properly (hook slightly barried) they last as long as most other stick baits that I have tried. I have noticed that the Senkos that I have ripped have occured during extreme heat or when they are stored in a car or boat on a hot day. I have not notice this occuring with Yum Dingers though.

Guys Guys, I know the title is misleading but you might be missing the point. To LBH and Muddy let me rephrase. it will make any brand of sticks last longer so your *** will be even cheaper, hows that? Seriously this stuff will extend the life of any soft bait. It will save you money, especialy for the guys who use swimbaits. all soft swimbaits tear. Yes mine tear too. with any soft swimbait you should keep them lubed and make repairs when ever they do start to tear. I used to use pros soft bait glue but later realized it is nothing more than super thin super glue. now I will use mend it for all my repairs. Sorry for sounding like a comercial, I am just think this stuff is cool.

You could cut the skirts of of any skirted type bait and make custom colored Ikas with your ripped senkos or sticks.

But customizing baits with glue thats something I think I might like to try 8-)

The "lube" part, is that so the bait gets in the mouth cavity better or to help limit tearing or both?

OK LBH picture this. I hand you a nonlubed swimbait that is tied on and tell you to hold it tight. Now I set the hook hard! what do you think will happen? nothing. You will have a good grip so the hook might poke you a little but it wont get stuck. NOW rub vasaline all over the bait and do the same thing. GET IT? The hook would be burried in your hand. Bass, especialy big bass have string jaws and they can clamp down on a big hunk of rubber. The lube helps get a good hookset. Also with the lube the bait will slip instead of tearing. It doesnt totaly solve the problem but it definatly helps.

ROFL Agreed...well Russ in all seriousness Garys arent the only baits that fall apart, I have worms and other plastics that become unusable just because of the piercing of the hook barb in the head, even an alurring bait trick stick will wear out after 7854 fish lol.......

This is really weird because I was going to post a thread tonight asking about a glue to repair plastics.... coincidence? probably!

So how much are they? I think I might buy my first swimbait and feel more confident with a musky size one with this stuff. I strictly only fished plastic fish if there were multiples of them in a bag.

I for one, am really glad to see this product.

i actually have a couple of mission fish that I repaired with ca glue and they have so many "hard spots" that they are kind of unusable.

I'm gonna try this stuff out for myself.

This stuff is hot out here on the left coast. I just talked to a friend who is a big swimbait fisherman and he said he's tried it and its revolutionary. Go figure - another product I have to have.

As for Yam's senkos I haven't ever found one that I like better than the original. So for me its all about green pumpkin black flake Yammy's!

I just placed an order for a 1 oz bottle along with a new mission fish.

I'll keep y'all posted on my impressions of how well it works.

I'm really getting antsy to get back on the water.

I should be able to get out on the water in my own boat in another couple of weeks.

Round here, the common swimbaits are 75 and 80 dollars, not 15 and 20. But from the numbers I have seen on forums, my lake seems to hold the majority of the humminbird side imaging sonar owners too. Must be a rich lake. ;D
