I only use plastic grubs, never saw any rubber ones or pay much attention to brand. Color depends on what fish I’m after. Greens, browns, blacks and purple for bass. Yellows, whites for walleye and pike.

Zoom Fat Albert grubs. Watermelon Seed, Rootbeer Pepper Green, and Chartreuse Pepper have worked best for me.

Zoom and Berkley Powergrubs are my favorite brands. My top 3 colors are: pumpkinseed, white, and chartreuse
honorable mention: Kalin’s Ron’s Craw, which is dynamite here in AZ

Kalins, Yamamoto and SK Rage Tail are the brands I use. White, smoke and green pumpkin are the colors. I use them on jigheads and as swim jig trailers.

I like the Big Bites finesse grubs for the price, although I've used Zoom and Case grubs as well. White, smoke, and green pumpkin would my top 3 color choices.

Welcome, surprised you didn't get more static with your post title.
Take a look at Tackle Warehouse under soft baits and click on grubes TW list both single and double tail grubs with dozens of mfr's's for each type. My preference is Yamamoto.

As for "rubber" baits, please change your jargon to "plastic" baits. Rubber baits are long gone.
As for your query, I have many colors, including pink. But my overall favorite is for smallmouth where I use a special Wright Mfg. Company 1/2 inch curly tail white grub that the smallies can't resist. The company was bought out a number of years ago and are no longer making their fantastic white 1/2 inch grubs.
I put the 1/2 inch grubs on a 1/64 or 1/32 round fly-fishing jig head that you can find at Orvis or in the fly fishing section of your local BPS which I don't believe exists around Homer City. I use a spinning set up with a small (1000 size spool) and 4 pound test mono and an ultra light rod. Talk about a fun time landing one of those smallies. Feels like you have JAWS on the other end of the line.
In the meantime, I have used the one-inch size curly tail grubs plus larger ones for swimming jigs when fishing for largemouth and for bluegills. But I prefer Rooster Tails and Beetle Spins better than the grubs.
Now you can go to Indiana, PA and see the stuffed statue of Jimmy Stewart and his museum and where his parents' apothecary was located and the IUP campus and that great ice cream place, Meadows, and a lot of traffic signals as you look for a tackle shop somewhere in the area.

I will use a Yamamoto traditional single tail grub as a trailer but my favorite is the double tailed Yamamoto hula grub. What a killer bait!

Thank you for your replies. Sam, yes Homer City only has one traffic signal. It is located at the intersection of T.R. 119 and T.R. 56. The borough removed the one that was located at the intersection of Main Street and Elm street. They replaced it with four stop signs.
Toxic, I have a few questions for you concerning the use of your double tailed grub. How do you rig it and how do you fish it.

Fat Albert Grubs in white, green pumpkin (purple or red), chartreuse pepper is great for Small Mouth.

I have used Kalins for years and found them to have a tail that moves very well even at a really slow pace, while maintaining good durability. Other brands are either durable and the tail doesn't move at slow speeds or tear up after the first few bites.
As far as colors Ron's craw has worked well in dirty and in clear water were you can see bottom in 10 fow. Other colors are bluegill, motor red, water red and water purple.

My favorite way is on a 1/4 oz gamakatsu football head hook exposed. Spinning rig with 35lb test braid. Go to bait on St Clair. Some of my friends that are locals just flat wear them out on this bait.

Thanks for posting this. I just bought a pack of 4" and a pack of 5" Hula Grubs. Planning to use them on a shaky head when I get to try them.
