Another interesting acquisition.
Been using War Eagle for years,Hope there quality doesn't go down hill.
Do these acquisitions usually result in any adjustments to pricing of current inventories?

Never in a downward way!
I am glad I special ordered a bunch of different weights & blade configurations & colors I wanted years ago, they are excellent baits. They were excellent people to work with.
If they were made in the US like Normans, expect them to be made in Guatemala in the future.
War Eagle is the only spinnerbait I use. Scary prospect. Time will tell. I guess I'm picking up what I see locally just to have some back stock.
Been twiddling my thumbs over a $50 Tackle Warehouse gift card for about a month. Not anymore.
Let me know when Johnny Morris buys out both Pradco and Pure Fishing.
Tom
That's disappointing to hear.

You really think he has the capital for that type of buy out when he just dropped all that cash? I’d be shocked. Pure Fishing is a giant.

And only a speck on their parent companies' portfolio, but Jarden themselves were bought out (technically a merger) not too long ago, so I guess no company is too big to be purchased. Pure fishing's new parent company owns seemingly everything in consumer goods, as well as many other sectors.
Pradco Outdoors already owns Heddon, BooYah, Cotton Cordell, Yum, and a host of others. I heard they are going to manufacture in Fort Smith. It's truly hard for the small guys to compete and the owners and management of War Eagle are to remain heavily involved. Probably a solid business decision.
They bought Gene Larew today.
Saw that.
Hope they don't screw up a very good product.
pradco products > Rebel, BOOYAH, Lindy, Bomber Saltwater Grade, YUM Baits, Little Joe, Cotton Cordell, Creek Chub, Heddon, Bandit Lures, Thill Floats, Silver Thread, Bomber Lures, Smithwick and Arbogast.
great products ...
good fishing ...
How long before Johnny Morris and Pradco own all of the fishing Industry?
Here's the info on their latest acquisitions: https://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_123/pradco-larew-garland-9419.html
Well hopefully the Trump China tariffs mean War Eagle/Gene Larew stay US made.

So far they have kept War Eagle in the U.S., at least to my knowledge. They also have Yum for a long time and it stayed here as well. You never know what they intend to do but I don't see them being able to make the product cheaper with similar quality so it may just stay here.

It will have zero effect on it.
Stay off the political track.

I was not trying to be political, just like stuff made in the USA to stay that way.
So, just be crystal clear, please do not mention politicians' names or political policies, as those are considered "political" by nature.
As a reminder, all things political are strictly forbidden on these forums.
Thanks in advance!
I doubt ol Johnny has any interest in owning a bait company. It's much easier for BPS to squeeze their suppliers than make baits.
I did hear that Spro recently told BPS to kick rocks.
As I sit in my recliner I can see Gene Larews old place .
He's been gone since around 1985, great man.
Larew baits has just used his name for many years.
