What new baits did you all get or plan to get for 2015 you have never used before?
I got a few new to me baits to mess with
a duo spybait 80 and 90
Rage structure bug
rage lobster
jackall cherry 0 footer
LC 3.5 Wake
SK 3xd
Im really excited to play with the wakebaits and spybaits!
Just the Rage Cut R worm. I learned a lot last year so I think I'm going to just fine tune some of that stuff.
Keitech salty core stick. I am sure it fishes just like every other stick bait.
Ima crankbaits.
Just started freshwater fishing a month ago. So mostly I've tried yum dingers, trick worm, rooster tail, and rattl trap. All have been great except the rattl trap haven't caught a thing on them lol
Some S-Weavers, couple styles of hair jigs, and some structure/jigging spoons.

You're gonna love that thing!

Im really excited to try out the new Spro RkCRAWLER 55. I really like Spro crankbaits so i'm sure I will be really pleased with this one as well. Has anyone used it yet? Thoughts?
X2. I'm also excited about the Savage Gear hardbaits I picked up. They look superb. On 1/23/2015 at 10:24 AM, WildcatBassin said:Im really excited to try out the new Spro RkCRAWLER 55.
I am going to see what all the fuss is about the Midwest Finesse Rig, aka The Ned Rig.

Hair jigs for LMB. Found a guy that makes some nice ones.

I feel your pain, my season ended early this year due to a move so I've been accumulating since October... Luckily my wife also fishes and has only asked (so far!) if she was going to be using some of the new stuff too
I'm looking forward to picking up a jerkbait or 6 and trying that out, plus I picked up some crankbaits already so I'm looking forward to messing around with those too. Lastly, I picked up some drop shot stuff so that'll be my other other new thing to try out this coming season.
6th Sense Crushed Flat 75x
Rapala DT16
DUO Realis Spinbait 80 (spybait)
MegaStrike 3/4 oz Spinnerbait
MegaStrike 1/2 oz Cavitron
Siebert Outdoors Storm Jig (Roadwarrior)
Rage Tail Rage Blade
Big Head Wobbler (Bluebasser86 C&D Custom Baits)
Duo Realis Spinbait 80/90
Scrounger heads (Which I am the most excited about)
Various soft plastics.
Let's just say... the bait/setup monkey has gotten the best of me in the 6ish weeks my boat has been wrapped up.
Outside of some new cranks or soft plastics that I have picked up, I am most excited to throw some of my swimbaits:
Hudd 8 and 68
Spro 8 and 6
S-Waver 200
Savage Gear Line-Thru
Lunker Punker
I was super pumped to trya few more Livetarget offerings only to find out TW canceled them off my order due to availability. :/ Still am getting a few of them but kinda bummed.
I've got a Jackall Binksy that I'm hoping does really well for me this upcoming season.
I just picked up some hand pour jerk baits that will get used some this spring. Hard to explain the design and I don't know how to post pictures, but is a combination of design features of a fluke and a slug go.
If you remember the old Mann's Shaddow - it is similar to that with better colors and slightly softer plastic.
They are meant to be nose hooked - either with an open hook (vendor furnished a 3/0 octopus hook) or some hook with a wire weed guard.
This guy didn't have a snappy name for his bait, he just called it a "shad bait" & in conversation he called it a "dying shad bait"
Some shiny new Mirrolure prop baits and some nice looking bladed jigs made by bluebasser.
Rage Shellcracker which isn't talked about much and the Smokin Rooster
which is once in a while.
Mike
Subscribed to mystery tackle box, and out of all the winter boxes I've received, I've only got one lure I already had. It's going to be a fun spring!
100's of new soft plastics....some of the ones I am most excited about are:
Havoc Money Makers
Rage Tail Anaconda
BPS Shimmy X2 Worms
Zero Gravity Jigs
and a Number of homemade worms from the local fishing/hunting expo!

I fish the Shellcracker by itself Rage Rigged and as a swim jig trailer. This year I'm also
going to give it a try as the trailer on a Rage Blade.

I did the same. Just bought a new rod and reel for only drop shot. I just got the shipment in from TW last night. So I am stoked to try them out. But I got so many new things from poppers and top waters to I think I picked up the DT 16.... duo many in between..
Keep at it Joe. I can't tell you how many times my old man tells me that it's not the right time to throw a rat l trap and I end up landing a monster. Some of my biggest bass have come off them.

I bought some of these online. They are the bomb
I have never used an alabama rig and would like to try a light weight version . Theres a small lake I frequent that it should work well on but I dont want to take a flipping rod to cast it. Im limited on the amount of gear that can be toted and need to be able to cast the rig on a seven foot M/H pitching rod. Anyone have a suggestion ? It needs to balance out nicely with the rod or I will not use it.
Yumbrella Tripod. I tossed it even on a medium Rod fine.On 1/25/2015 at 7:57 PM, scaleface said:I have never used an alabama rig and would like to try a light weight version . I tried the drop shot for the first time last year...omg!
Now i have a dedicated drop shot combo, a pile of baits and a metric ton of drop shot weights lol
I did really well with it and it saved a few days of fishing...almost cashed a few checks with it too...( missed the money by less than 3 ounces twice)
