What is the bait in your box that has gained legendary status to you? It's the bait you go to, it's the bait that always hooks up, it's the bait but you'll never replace.
Gene Larew 7 ½ Salty Ring Worm Cinnamon Pepper Neon/June Bug Laminated (Camouflage).
Sadly Gene Larew quit making them but Ann's Tackle in Jasper, Tx has some that are just as productive.
I've caught a couple dozen double D's across 5 states on it & won 17 tournaments with em.
This is mine it's a Booyah pad Crasher I've got my PB on this bait and countless other giant Bass. It's my go-to frog I haven't missed a hook set on it in i can't remember how long and I don't think I'll ever lose it.
I have one hanging in a tree . Had several buzzbaits that the blade wore out on . As far as a bait that " always hooks up " Never seen one .
These 'search and destroy' hard baits have been promoted to legendary status.
I've taken so many pictures of this bait that look like this, it's hard not to throw it some day.s
This vintage Rogers Big Jim is the most successful crankbait I ever used. Sadly I lost this one in a tree but was lucky enough to have an identical one . I picked the two up at an antique store . They dont have a lot action , no rattle but they "hunt" . One day the bass were taking it so deeply that I was spending more time unhooking fish than fishing . I switched to another brand and caught more bass because they were caught on the back hook and easily removed .

This LC RC 1.5 is my Legendary Bait. I have hundreds of bass on this bait. I've gone swimming after hanging this bait up. Once waded in up to my waist in the Shenendoah at Thanksgiving weekend to retrieve it.
I have a few.
First two are legit -
That last one's pretty much just comic relief.

I have two Storm sub-warts in hot tiger color that I use when the bite gets very, very slow. I bought them about 13, or 14 years ago, and one is always in the tackle bag when I go out.

But I think we've both done all we can on that one.

Can't like that one!
Something about I only get 40 likes a day
Arkie crawlin' grub and jig head. If my computer hadn't self-destructed, I'd show you about 20 pics just from this year of the bass I've caught on that bait. Its a killer.

You know that I certainly appreciate the sentiment.

Im not surw if thats a joke but I would catch bass on that punch rig. What is that trailer?
This thing tex rigged with an un pegged weight will catch me lots of fish all year long. Deep or shallow. Open water or flipping. Funny thing is that the regular chigger craw that simply doesn't have the middle two extra appendages is a dud around here. Crazy that my homelike bass will kill this bait but not one so similar.
4" BPS Tournament Series tube
I still own a flip phone so uploading pics is tough.
Just imagine a once black buzzbait, most of the paint chipped off exposing bare lead, the skirt hanging on by a thread, and main wire bent and re bent in a line that you could call "kinda straight."
Don't know what it is about this little guy, but he never lets me down:
Kinami Palm Tree watermelon chartreuse discontinued. Was able to source around 100 packs before they were all gone.
And MEND-IT has made it possible to prolong the use of these as well as other costly plastics(Keitech Swing Impact Fat paddle tails.) so Ill mention that as a legendary product to use

This jig has lasted over 6 months probably close to 100 fish and the paint is almost gone. I've had to file the hook a few times it's rolled from jaw boning a few. Maybe time to retire her
