I'm looking to make this year my year to really devote some time to jig fishing. Been working on my own jigs with gammy hooks and living image skirts... now I want to know what craw style trailer you all recommend. Is it rage tail craw? Paca? Chigger? others? Thanks
I basicly use three different trailers depending on the action and fall rate I want.
Zoom Super chunk
Rage Chunk
Paca
All have different actions and the bass love them.
My favorite craw style trailer is the Zoom Speed Craw.
craw papi and chigger craw
I had pretty good luck with the rage tail series of trailers
Gene Larew Salty Hawg Craw & Rage Tail Lobster
Powerbait craw on finesse jigs.

Big presentation: Rage Tail Lobster, Paca Craw,
Double Wide Beaver, Rage Hawg
Medium: GYCB Flappin' Hog, Rage Tail Craw, Baby Paca Craw
Small: Rage Tail Chunk, GYCB Baby Craw
8-)
Any of the Paca's the chunk, Tiny Paca Craw, Baby Paca Craw. And they have a ton of colors!
Paca craws first and then Chigger craws.
These are real nice on a finesse jig especially the Jewel Eakin's jig.
Make sure it is the 3" size though.

3. Berkley CL Chigger Craws
money craw for swim jigs and zoom super chunk and rage craw for pitchin jigs
My favorites:
1 - Yum Chunk
2 - NetBait Paca Chunk
3 - Strike King 3X ElazTech Denny Brauer Chunk
4 - Yamamoto Fat Baby Craw
5 - Yum Craw Papi 2.75
6 - Strike King Rage Tail Craw
Ok, I know that's a lot, but I use them all. I listed them in order of my preference. A lot of times, all you have to do is change the trailer to get the bites and above is just about the progression I use every time, when I am jig fishing. I prefer big profiles with jigs. You don't always catch the numbers, but you do catch quality bass with them.
1) Ragetail Lobster (it;s HUGE!)
2) Ragetail Craw (Medium sized)
3) GYCB Double Tailed Hula Grubs (smaller profile)
I pour my own, but the closest that it resembles is a chigger craw with a little less flap on the appendages...if that makes any sense... Other then that its a zoom speed craw.
Reaction Innovations Sweet Beaver (all sizes) - jig trailer, double wide beaver on a 3/8oz football jig has a very nice fall
Berkeley Chigger Craw (original and crazy) - jig trailer, brass n glass
Netbait Paca Chunk (for a smaller presentation) - smaller jig trailer
These are some of my favorites...
Baby Paca Chunk
Poor Boys Craw Daddy
2.75" Yum Craw Papi
Quote1) Ragetail Lobster (it;s HUGE!)2) Ragetail Craw (Medium sized)
3) GYCB Double Tailed Hula Grubs (smaller profile)
I'm with Jacob on this.
Big- Rage Lobster.
Medium- Rage Craw along with Chigger Craw.
Small- Rage Chunk or Baby Rage Craw along with Double Tail Grubs (Underlooked Trailer.)
Berkely Chigger Craw
ZOOM Chunk
The Netbait Paca chunks and craws come in a big selection of sizes and colors. I use one of them most of the time. A regular chunk in Bama Bug is my current favorite. 8-)
I have used many different types of trailers, half a baby brush hog, zoom chunks, netbait paca chunks, chigger craws, twin tail grubs, yum crawbugs... the only ones I get bit on are the rage tail baby craws. Might be a confidence thing... I don't know for sure but I only get bit with a rage tail.
Chigger Craw so far. I'm going to have to give the Paca Craw a shot because they're so popular and there are so many colors to choose from. I sure wish the Chigger came in junebug and watermelon/red. Kinda dropped the ball on that one, didn't they.
My favorite is the ragetail Lobster.
Paca Chunk
I also forgot, I started using reaction innovations sweet beavers when the fish are more finicky and want a bait with little to no action. You can never get those Rage Tails to stay still!
I've been using the Paca Chunk and love them. They have great action, lots of colour choices, they are scented and they only cost $2!!!
This year I'm going to try Chigger Craw. Very interested in this bait.
If i want a slow fall, I will use a Rage chunk, for a fast fall I will use a Paca Chunk. I like the stacy king claw trailers for smaller jigs such as the Booyah Pro Boo Bug on river smallies.
Chigger Craw
1. paca chunk
2. berkley chigger craw/chunk
3. rage tail chunk
Any of the Rage Tail craws are awesome. The baby rage craws are my favorites.
