i wont be able to fish for at least another 6 mos so im living vicariously through my equipment and lure purchases. the next baits i will buy will be shallow to medium depth cranks. whats your favorite crankbaits that are under 10 bucks?

I've had lots of luck with Bill Norman cranks, you can find them practically anywhere too.
For under $10, Rapala and Bombers have been my favorites, but I'm not a big crankbait guy. I haven't tried the minus1's yet but they look promising.
Rapala (I think you're gonna hear that one a lot!)
Storm Wiggle Warts
Some of the Bombers (there's just something about a firetiger 7A), also the Flat A.
Bagley is priced right at $10......the G-Force B Flat II (both shallow and diving) are GREAT lures. Honey B's, Killr B's, etc....lots of good baits. IMO you're better off getting the 70's, 80's lures on eBay....some of the new ones are really junky.
I've picked up a lot of old Bagleys for between $4-$8 on the 'Bay.
bandits are great starter baits.
Lucky Craft
I like Bombers, they work well for me and the price is right.
I'm not much of a finesse fisherman so I love crankbaits. They work for me almost every trip.
Mainly right now in my tackle box are Bomber Fat Free Shads. They have a tight wobble to them and they work. They are pretty nice baits with a load rattles and they cost about 6 dollars CAD.
for shallow runners i like manns baby -1. they are pretty inexpensive as well.
Rapala are too expensive for my taste in crankbaits. I don't want to pay 9 dollars for a bait that I might have a chance of losing, but I do have lots of x-raps.
Rapalas
Bomber 8A's
Norman DD22's
Cabelas: their version of the jointed glass rap
i was with muddy right up until that jointed business.
Anything Rapala or Bandit. Strike King Redeye Shads, Bill Lewis Rat-L-Traps, Manns 1- Elite,
Quotei was with muddy right up until that jointed business.
I would never have thought myself. I was out of Rapala Jointed Glass Shads and we were fishing the Lehigh River by Allentown, , so I stopped at Cabelas, they were out of the silver ones, so I bought 2 of the Cabelas version. They work great and they are 3.20 cheaper, I am staying with these
I caught my personal best on a Norman Fat Boy, bluegill pattern.
8-)
The ones that I use the most are:
Mann's 1-minus
Cotten Cordell Super Spots and Big-O's
Storm Wiggle Warts
Rat-L-Traps
Jitterbugs
Storm Wiggle Warts
Rapalas-Dt,Fat Rap,Shad Rap
Bass Pro Shops XPS and Lazer Eye series
Bandits of any type
Bandit and strike king are two good cheapies.
I like Norman's, strike king, and bandit.

Nothing can beat the consistency of a Rapala bait in that price range.
killer #1...shadrap #5
killer #2...norman dtn
aint nothing like H2O express cranks from academy outdoors and they run true all the time.
rapala,bomber,xps,manns
Bandits are my favorite. They run true out of the box and have a huge array of colors.
Daiwa Peanut
Storm Wiggle Wart
Norman Deep Little N-this one will give you trouble but it is a fish catcher.
cordel big-o
Rapala DT series. Maybe because they helped me catch my PB today, but they have also caught a ton of other fish for me too. I also like the Strike King Pro Model crankbaits, they are pretty good for $4.
Bandit 100, 200, 300
Mann's baby 1-
Rapala DT series
Big O 1/3oz
Allen
1-Rapala
2-Norman
3-Strike King
Falcon
Rapalas and Strike King cranks.
bandits and rapala dt's
I fish a lot of Bandit 100 and 200 series crankbaits, but not because I like the action or because they run true out of the box (often not the case). I love them because they make the best color for fishing the Potomac river. Tie on a "humble bee" 200 and you will catch tons of fish.
If I am not on the river then I throw lucky crafts most of the time.
bomber, or strike king for sure
Rapala's are very nice if you consider them cheap. I would say they are more like on the bottom end of expensive. Very nice though.
As far as truely cheap everyone really needs to try Academy's H20 Xpress cranks. Good colors and run great. I probably would of never gave them a shot, but fished a buddies all day before I figured out what it was. The square billed ones bounce of timber very well.
