I am planning on buying some bass lures what else do i need. I am getting, 1 Rapala floater perch color, one rapala floater silver color, some yum dingers, some brush hogs, a rapala skitter pop, a hula popper, a rapala ultra light pop, ribbon tail worms, 4/0 hooks, 3/0 hooks, worm weights, a Booyah Frog, some tubes, some Plano tackle trays. PS i dont like crankbaits for the shallow lakes i fish so that's the only thing I'm not looking for. THANKS!!!

Those wouldn't all be my #1 brand/bait choices, but other than spinnerbaits, it sounds like covered the gamut.

okay what brands do you reccomend... and no i wont spend 20 $ on a lure
I also read a lot about jigs, what brand should I look for
I've been throwing some Boo-Yah spinnerbaits lately. They're not as nice as the custom ones Siebert has made for me, but man, they're durable, and get the job done. Decent head shape for weeds, too.
I would add a buzzbait .
I would add a white grub and a trick worm to the mix especially for shallow waters
Definately some type of spook.

All Terrain Tackle makes nice jigs at a good price
No whopper plopper?
What rods and reels do you have? Some lures don't work well on some fishing poles. Example:. 1/2 oz jigs won't work well on a medium light rod.
You're gonna tell me you don't have no whistlin' bungholes, no spleen splitters, whisker biscuits, honkey lighters, hoosker doos, hoosker don'ts, cherry bombs, nipsy daisers, with or without the scooter stick, or one single whistlin' kitty chaser?

not as many as i need
Get a pair of long nosed pliers, some sort of safety/sunglasses, sunscreen and bug spray
Rapala orginal floater in blue, f7 size. I call it the blue max.
manns baby 1 in browncraw. I call it the Hank Parker Special because I seen him in NH nailing smallies on it. I found out LM like it too.
get a manns classic 1/4 oz white spinnerbait with twin gold Indiana blades. I add a mister twister white 4" split double tail grub trailer with a trailer hook. These come with a blue glimmer skirt. It's the best for me.
i do the same setup with the manns classic 1/4 oz chartreuse spinnerbait but I change the skirt to the hot chartreuse, and add the MT 4" split double tail chartreuse trailer grub. W/ trailer hook.
note, to self, I have blue glimmer skirts and hot chartreuse skirts in the tackle room. There not easy to find. www.brannansbass.com carries them.

Thanks, I have those things, I'm just wanting some new lures and wanted to know what to get, Those things are terrible to forget though!

7" M Veritas is what I mostly use
Veritas runs stiff though, it's more like a MH/F
At the very least, I would add in some spinnerbaits. Since you fish in shallower lakes, a 3/8oz and maybe a 1/2oz would do -- get a Colorado blade if it's muddier water and dual willow or a willow/colorado for clearer water. Probably a chatterbait and some soft plastic shad or minnow trailers and a swim jig or two and some netbait paca chunk for trailers.

do keitech swimbaits work as spinnerbait trailers? I was looking at some Strike King KVD 1/4 oz jigs on BPS that look pretty decent. I would put some craw trailers or Brush hogs on the jigs for trailers.

I usually don't use a spinnerbait trailer just a trailer hook when the bite is slow, but the Kaitech's are one solid choice if you do. They also work well with a swim jig.

what length do you like

The swing impact fat 3.8s are probably a solid choice to start with but don't be afraid to try different sizes and colors too.
Too bad no crankbaits. I love shallow running cranks. Xraps - KVD 1.0s and 1.5s squarebills. And ultralight cranks. Rapala UL Minnows and Strike King bitsy minnows.

Since I don't own a boat, most of the places I fish are shallower water so I fish crankbaits on the same 17lb mono line I would use for a spinnerbait, chatterbait, buzzbait or a Pop R. I can still get a 1.5 squarebill a good 3 feet deep if I need to but I have the strength I need to pull my baits through weeds too.
A hollow belly frog such as a Live Target Frog.

Booyah Pad Crasher...?

They snag a lot for me and i've never had much luck fishing them
1/4 oz swim jig, 3'3 inch kitsch swing impact fat. great pond combo
I use shallow running crankbaits from shore in the shallower areas. It depends how fast you reel too. If you reel very very slowly the shallow running floating crankbait becomes a wake bait. I use the bomber FAT A size 05, bomber model A in size 05 mainly.
one spot I fish gets weeded over. I put on a larger lure with three treble hooks and clear a 3' wide path from a far cast to the shore. I spend one trip clearing it. Then I can fish it next time. I can run deeper cranks along this open weed line.
my other spot has a 9' deep channel with weedlines on both sides. The channel is 12' wide. Again I cast parallel to the weedline. The bass come out of the weeds to hit my baits.
i like fishing from shore. I can gun and run to another nearby spot too if it's slow at my first spot.
i start fishing from shore in the dark, when the sun is up I cast into the shaded darker areas. I keep my casts parallel to the shoreline and work my way out Skip fan casting. One area has a 90 degree corner. I can cast parallel to both shore lines from the corner.
spinflys and joesflys work great in these shaded areas.
