Been going through all my tackle the last couple days and took out everything I "possibly could" to cut down on the weight. Alas, this is where it ended up (TW shipment comes next week):
Still seems way too heavy.
What does yours weigh?
Never thought of actually weighing it. Probably better I not know, ☺ just guessing mine is close to yours.
1400lbs+
Which one?
I weighed my worm bag...full from all the south FL fishing I did back in the 80's and 90's. By itself it weighed over 15 lbs. Not sure about the other two tackle boxes...BTW, all the worms are still in good shape and not a melted mess.
My tackle box has a neat trolling motor attachment and needs to be trailered.
It's pretty heavy but there's still plenty of room for more

There is ALWAYS room
I don't want to know.
Depends what I put in it. All my tackle stays in my truck and I bag only what I want for going out on the water. I fish from the bank and a kayak.
Too much. Usually load 3 in the boat. Which ones depend on plan for the day. Probably overkill, since what I use in a day could probably fit in a lunch box. But I still carry a bunch for the same reason your mother told you to always put on clean underwear... because you never know.
Too heavy for sure. But too afraid to take anything out!

Before the trip: Oh I don't really need that last crankbait (takes it out). After the trip: If I only had that one crankbait I took out I would have slayed them (puts it back in).
I'm pretty ruthless about taking stuff out; when you're a bank fisherman, you don't want a 25 lb. bag weighing you down. I just cut mine down to 10 lbs.

Yes, I stay with th k.i.s.s. approach.
It's been working well for me close to 35 years now of bass fishing.
And if I use 20 percent of what's in there in a days fishing, that would be high.

I also stay with the k.i.s.s approach but what I use and what I carry are two different things, better carry and not need than need and not carry.
Haha, I hear ya.
I fish out of a kayak I have 3 gallon zip bags. One terminal, 1 creature baits, and 1 senko/sassy stick. 3 Plano 3600 hard baits. Plus stuff stuffed in other crevices throughout my yak.
too much
Probably around 8 pounds.
My TW bag is about 9 lbs
I would say my backpack weighs between 15-20 fully loaded and my tackle bag probably weighs close to 30-40. When the pack is on my back and the bag is slung across my body it's not bad. Remember, soldiers carry 75-100 pounds on 30 mile runs. Suck it up and fill it up...
Unlike A-Jay, I can't fit any more into mine. In fact, when I take a co angler with, I have to take out tackle so I don't end up overloaded. I find myself fishing solo a lot.
Mine's heavy enough that I have to tag it to haul it on public roads.
Ive got a system of stages...
On my Kayak Ive got my blackPak box which isn't too heavy.
Then in the truck that hauls the yak Ive got more of a mothership box, most likely 20-30 pound box with everything else.
Back at the house Ive got everything set up like a d**n tackle shop..
With me finding tackle warehouse a while back, I have been stocking up to the point that I could basically stop buying tackle now, and not need anything else for the rest of my life!
