Here's a Darren Quote "I don't always fish wacky rigs . . . .wait - who am I kidding ? - Yes I do "

I run every technique I have year round. Some more than others, but you just never know until you toss it out there.
Spring- spinnerbait, senko, lipless crank, squarebill
fall- Texas rigged worm, spinnerbait, squarebill, lipless crank
winter- shakey head,jig, jerk bait
summer- big worm, Carolina rig, shakey head, football jig
Pre-spawn: Football jig, deep cranks (worked slowly), t-rig, swimbaits, jerk baits, slow-rolling spinnerbait, square bill crankbaits.
Spawn/Post Spawn: Flipping and FB jigs, T-rig, wacky rigged senkos, C-rig, drop shot, shaky head.
Summer: Flipping and FB jigs, DD cranks, frogs, punch rigs, T-rigged 7-12" worms and craw baits, drop shot, shaky head, spinnerbait, buzz bait, small swimbaits.
Fall: See pre-spawn. Plus frogs, flipping jigs, and buzzbaits in early fall.
Winter (if not iced): See pre-spawn. Minus square bills. Plus drop shot and shaky head. Once iced, I sit around dreaming of pre-spawn.
Spring: Weighted T-rig, small squarebills, spinnerbaits, and creature baits
Summer: Big worms, light jigs, weightless senkos, frogs, prop baits
Fall: Inline spinners, senkos, just about any plastics
Winter: Senkos, finesse worms, most slow techniques
Spring-spinnerbait, sof plastics, lipless/square bill cranks
Summer-frogs, deep diving cranks, soft plastics
Fall-same as spring + fish head spins and spoons
Except for winter which I dont fish much I go shallow and deep all three seasons . So the lure pretty much overlap .I do fish more spinnerbaits in the spring than the rest of the year .
Spring:
Texas rigged worms
Texas rigged craws
Crankbaits
Spinnerbait
Summer:
Texas rigged worms
Texas rigged craws
Crankbaits
Spinnerbait
Fall:
Texas rigged worms
Texas rigged craws
Crankbaits
Spinnerbait
Winter:
Texas rigged worms
Texas rigged craws
Crankbaits
Spinnerbait
Spring: Jig, Bladed Jig, jerkbait, Keitech, Texas Rig, Squarebill
Summer: Jig, Bladed Jig, Keitech, Texas Rig, Squarebill
Fall: Jig, Bladed Jig, Keitech, Texas Rig, Squarebill, Lipless
Winter: lol
There's a lot of other baits I use but these are my favorites. Honestly I use the same baits almost year round but just change the speed and location

The best part of fishing in the winter is that my treble hooks never get fouled by weeds.

well thats because you are too far north and spoiled with all that thick ice lol u wouldnt know what to do down here on skinny ice lol last year when it finally froze in january (3 inches) i could walk out and still find the weed beds
Spring: havnt fished spring yet.
Summer: senkos zman chatter baits
Fall: havnt fished fall yet.
Winter: I expect to be crying because I can't fish
Winter spring, summer, & fall...I throw em all!

Winter around here is when you sit around dreaming up plans to catch the big ones and spending tons of cash on new tackle!

This, at least it would be if I lived someplace where lakes don't ice over in winter! Lately I'm with Catt in not limiting myself to any techniques based on seasons. Who am I kidding, we all have favorites!
The way I approach things here in the Great North is in Spring, the fish are generally shallower and our lakes don't have much grass so of course no froggin or punching. Jerkbaits and tubes are always in play. Summer, the grass is at it's peak so I tend not to throw the open hook stuff that I did in Spring. Spinnerbaits, T-rigs, Senkos, frogs, etc. see more time since I focus on grass = bass. Then in Fall (Oct, Nov) it's deep water stuff, generally. Always have a dropshot rod on deck. I'm trying a new approach of not having my lures pre-rigged and waiting to decide what to throw once I get on the water and observe the wind, water temp, boat traffic, etc. Rather than having a pre-conceived game plan the night before and 'force feeding' the fish. Of course there's two or three mainstays but that's top secret, lol.
Wow there are so many different answers here! I love it! I'm definitely going to be trying some different lures throughout the seasons now. Some I would have never even thought of. and really I'm more surprised that there are more people fishing in the winter than I would have thought!

I actually plan on starting to repoury senkos and other soft plastics during the winter months. I'm sure I'll get it all done in a weekend and then cry because I can't fish.
Was thinking about trying to take a small weekend vacation down south to i can fish somthing but I'm not sure yet.

Man, I'd be afraid I wouldn't come back until spring if I left here to go somewhere warm to fish!
How does a bass know human calendar periods of winter, spring, summer and fall? Bass eat year around and have seasonal prey preferences depending on avialible prey sources. You should be selecting lures that have the highest potential to catch bass year around and that differs by seasonal periods, not our seasonal periods, the bass seasonal periods wherever they maybe located.

I'd be totally ok with living somewhere I can fish all year round. But I tried that when we went on vacation to myrtle beach, even said everyone could get jobs at Walmart till we get real jobs.... The ol lady didn't go for that

I could deal with Minnesota summers and Florida winters, year round shorts weather! Maybe when I hit the lotto
that actually sounds like a great idea lol it wouldn't cost you a fortune, just gas money and depending if you have family there maybe hotel costs. Or if your a trooper like me make a bed out of the truck bed and have a soft top as your roof and sleep in your truck right on the lake! lol

I can sleep in the back of the truck, but the wife is only going to fall for that once

That is the biggest mistake I see around here!
Bass are predators they like hunting their prey!
Man is a born hunter...some of us have forgotten how!
Winter: hair jigs or finesse jig with pork trailer, jerkbaits, flat sided balsa crank baits, drop shot.
Spring: jerkbaits, jigs, spro little johns, spinnerbaits, chatterbaits, poppers, drop shot, senko
Summer: 10" Ol' Monster, drop shot, jig, frog, squarebill, chatterbait, spinnerbait, popper, spook
Fall: spinnerbait, chatterbait, crankbait, underspin, jig, spook, popper, flukes

That's mostly them there southern boys, winter to them is like fall to us just 5 deg further N lat. Although we're too far south to ice up, winter fishing is cold and slow for the most part. There are exceptions...
Every bass angler should know what prey the bass are feeding on and to do that you need to study the prey in your area. Bass stomach content is the best source of real time information.
